Raise by Ghost (HP Fan-fic)

~1980 England~

In front of what looks like a rundown house, you can see the outline of a woman in the dark wearing a black cloak leaving a basket on the front door.

Woman: "I'm sorry my child, I couldn't take care of you and I might not have enough time to explain. I wish I could have spent more time with you or even seen you grow up but we can't have that. If they ever find out we are alive they will kill us. It would be for the best if they just find me and never find you. We will never see one and other again but know I love you. Be safe my child and live a good life."

After talking with tears in her eyes to a small baby inside the basket the woman run away from the house while looking back from time to time. This was a heartbreaking scene for anyone watching and at this moment five beings were watching and silently crying to themselves.

These five beings are female ghosts who came outside to look who was visiting them at this late hour in the night only to see a reluctant mother leaving her son side. They would have tried to stop her but knew that it would be useless and for the best. This scene wasn't new it's been happening all over the world for who knows for how long and parents leaving their children to never be seen again right now is common. It thanks to this dam war that's taking too many lives and in there minds should have never happened.

After seeing the woman left they went to the basket to see the child that she had left behind. In the basket was a white hair baby boy with violet-red sleepy eyes.

Ghost 1: "What should we do with him?"

Ghost 2: "I say we should contact the Ministry Of Magic. We can't keep him here."

Ghost 3: "No the Ministry is dealing with the war they'll probably just leave him at some orphanage and not a home that can give him a good life like his mother wanted for him. It would be best for us to take care of him at least until the war is over."

Ghost 4: "I agree with her. It would be for the best and it seems like they were being chased by Death Eaters. I also don't trust the Ministry right now."

Ghost 2: "But we don't know how long the war will last and we are ghost how can we take care of a child."

Ghost 3: "You are right but look at him. I don't want to leave him to an unknown fate and it's not like we were ghosts in all our lives. Taking care of a child shouldn't be that hard and I'm sure we can raise him just fine also if we really can't take care of him we can always get into contact with the Ministry."

After listening to her words they all finally agree and chose to raise the child together.

Ghost 5: "Let's continue this talk inside, who knows if a Death Eater is roaming about around here."

They then picked up the child in his basket and brought him inside.

~1981 November, 14~

Inside a rundown house, in one of the many rooms, you can see a little boy around one-year-old play with a transparent woman that looks like a high-class noble lady from the Victorian era. While playing another transparent woman who was dress in a maid uniform came into the room.

Ghost 1: " My Lady Fiona, we have big news!"

Fiona: "What is it, Marianne?"

Marianne: "The Dark Lord was taken down by a young wizard boy! It won't be long until the war is over."

Fiona: "Oh, that's great."

Marianne: "My Lady why do you not sound happy is this not what we all been waiting for?"

Fiona: "I know that but I don't want to face what will happen next."

As Fiona said this she looks at the little white hair boy next to her. Marianne who saw this understood what her Mistress was getting at.

Marianne: "My Lady why don't we talk to the others and see if we can keep him with us for a little longer. Even if that man is dead things are still unstable for the most part, Ghoul will be safer not leaving our sides."

Fiona: "You're right! Let's go."

With the rise in her mood, she picks up the little boy and headed deeper into the house.

After a while, they reached a room that looks like a study that had three other transparent women. One of the three was wearing the same maid uniform as Marianne while the other two had noble like dresses on like Fiona.

Fiona: "Sister I'm sure you were informed about the news."

Ghost 2: "Yes, I think we should contact the Ministry soon."

Fiona: "No, we shouldn't at least until things have settled down."

Ghost 2: "Really, do you really think that or are you saying that to spend more time with him? I think spending to much time with him is affecting your head."

Fiona: "You! Sister Bertha, she's teasing again!"

Bertha: "Samantha, stop teasing her. This is an important matter, it isn't the right time to be fooling around. Now both of you have to stop fighting I have something important to say.

Now, Fiona, we know what you are trying to do. We feel the same even though our time with him is short we can't live without him now, he's like our son and I like you can't stand to part ways with him.

So I did everything in my power, by contacting some of my old friends who are still alive and have a good amount of pull in the Ministry. We all talked together and we came to an agreement with the Ministry so we can have legal guardianship over Ghoul."

Fiona: "Rally! We have guardianship over him now!"

Bertha: "Yes, but we must pass the monthly check-ups from the Ministry to keep him with us. The check-ups aren't a permanent thing they will last until he's seven."

After hearing the words from her sister both Fiona and Samantha where elated by the news along with the two maids. The little boy not knowing what was going on but giggled in happiness along seeing his mothers happy faces.
