After a while, Wynter began to calm down again. Her tears had stopped flowing but her heart was hurting. Keith made her look at him by cupping both sides of her head and frowned at seeing her tear-stained face. He then rubbed the moisture off, gently tracing it away with his thumb.
"Do you want to go home?" He asked in a low voice.
Wynter sniffled and met his dark eyes. It was warmly looking at her as if he was trying to empathize with her emotions. She searched for something in those eyes of his, wanting to know.
"Okay," she then muttered and hugged him again.
Keith did not move instantly and just let her do as she pleases first. Few moments had passed before he stood up on the couch, bringing her with him. He carried her in a bridal style and Wynter did not protest. Instead, she nuzzled her face on his neck, inhaling his scent. It brought her temporary peace and made her calm down.
