Daniel's revenge plan

Daniel smiled as everyone at the dining table lost consciousness.
He then turned to Vanessa, who was also grinning widely.
"Hahaha, did you see that? Haha, I told you our plan would work perfectly if we managed to put them all to sleep," Vanessa laughed gleefully.
She approached Rina, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction, and grabbed a handful of Rina's hair, yanking it hard.
But before Vanessa could do more, Daniel quickly grabbed her hand tightly. His smile vanished and was replaced by a cold, threatening glare.
"Try to touch Rina again, and I'll also put you to sleep," he hissed through clenched teeth.
Vanessa immediately released Rina's hair, raising her hands in mock surrender while laughing nervously.
"H-haha, chill. I was just checking if the sleeping potion worked, you know," Vanessa said.
Though deep inside, Vanessa had a burning desire to slap Rina at least once.
