Waylen's POV

From there on out, things got better. The darkness little by little disappeared.

Now, I'm sitting with my Dad in the last place I thought I would be - Black silver.

I looked at my father. His gaze never wavered a bit.

"You look…lighter, kid, like you don't have the weight of the world on your shoulders anymore. I wish I had something to do with that. It's a father's regret, you know, seeing their child suffer and utterly helpless to stop it. Knowing they soar not because of them but in spite of them"

"Dad" I reached out and held his hand. I squeezed it gently. "You are my father. Everything I have is because of you…not in spite of you. And I owe you an apology-"

"No, you don't. You don't owe me anything, Son"
