Chapter 31 – Misty’s Birthday

Ash and Party then saved the survivors and called a ship to take the villagers to the city until the village is rebuilt.

Ash "Well we will meet later"

Koga "Well I think if you came here I will be somewhere else."

Janine "Dad you are going on journey."

Koga "Yes I will go and apply for Jhoto Elite four."

Ash "Are they creating it again."

Koga "Well as the current Champions are gone we can only do that."

Ash "Well now we are going to safari zone."

Koga "See you next time."

"Hmm."

Then Ash and friend left.

Janine looked at Ash's back and sighed.

Koga "So you like him."

Janine shook her head "He is too outstanding."

Koga "Well as you wish."

Ash and Party then rested in the Pokemon Center.

Ash asked Brock "Brock I think Misty's Birthday is day after tomorrow."

Brock "Yup. Well we should do something."

Ash nodded "Well let's decide."

Next Day.

Ash Brock and Misty were standing front of a building named Safari Park.

Ash "So guys you should go in I want to train."

Misty "Huh you don't want more pokemon."

Ash "Well I have enough already."

Brock "Well that's fine."

Misty "Okay."

And they both entered the Safari Park.

Ash sighed "Okay Dexter you got the list."

Dexter "Yes and I will also chose the location."

"Okay let's go."

And then they went to shop to search for food materials.

Brock "So should we go separate."

Misty "Okay"

And then they went on their way.

Brock opened his Pokedex.

Brock "Well I became B rank in just two and a half months travelling is good now let's see if someone is willing to come."

Then he started walking.

He came into a grassy plain and saw a Scyther hacking at tree continuously.

Brock saw his blades were getting more and more crooked due to hacking in an incorrect way.

Brock then came close and Scyther noticed it he looked at Brock with caution.

Brock smiled "Well you should slash in slanting way as you could use Gravity to increase your attack and it will also not hurt yourself."

Scyther "I am trying all I can but none of them are effective how can your method be effective."

Brock "Well trying does not make you a loss."

Scyther "Will not catch me behind my back"

Brock "If you want to come then only I don't want to force."

Scyther "Keep your promise."

Brock "Well I promise."

Scyther "A question can you understand me."

Brock "Yes I have a translator."

"Oh"

Then he again looked at the tree and then slashed slanting way and suddenly the trunk was cut deeply and it went half way but it still hurt a little.

Brock "See you need to rest first and heal your injuries than perfect it and then try with both blades and you can learn cross cut."

Brock smiled "Well welcome to the family and you have a big competition and you could meet my other pokemons later."

And then threw a Safari Ball at Scyther and he went in without resisting.

Brock "Good."

Misty "Well need two more pokemon to reach B."

And then she looked at water and saw sea horse pokemon swimming in.

Misty smile "Hey Horsea"

Horsea looked at Misty and spoke "Hi���

Misty "Do you want to come with me."

"Well I want a trainer who specializes in water type"

Misty "Then you have found the right person."

"Well then I can come but first do you have something to eat."

Misty "Well I have some berries here you can have it."

"Thanks."

Then smelling the berries and Chinchou too came out and looked at Misty.

Misty "Do you too want to eat."

Chinchou "Yes"

Misty "Take it."

Then they both started to eat happily.

Misty then kept two Safari Balls in front of them.

Both pokemon went in happily.

Misty smiled "Well Now I can handle Electric types."

Ash was roaming in the City after he had got the materials.

Ash "Well Pikachu what should we gift Misty."

Pikachu "Well I think you should buy something related to Water Types Hmm like a Water Type Egg."

Ash "Well Egg is fine but I think she has many water Types I will give something different like random egg."

"That is best."

Janine saw Ash and called "Hey Ash what are you doing here"

Pikachu "Well you two are fated."

Ash "Stop it Pikachu" and he went near Janine and spoke.

"Well I am thinking of a Gift for Misty as her Birth Day is tomorrow."

Janine "Oh so what have you decided."

"Pokemon Egg and Brock is giving something like…"

Janine "Makeup set"

"Yup."

Janine "Brock is old fashioned."

Ash "I think so he used to live in stone house and had a stone gym."

Janine laughed "So this must be the first gym you have not destroyed."

Ash said in embarrassment "Well I have not destroyed the Battlefield but the surroundings are filled with scorch marks and slash marks."

Janine "You are not the first one to do it but this time we needed to replace them as previous ones only made them fall and not break them in pieces."

Ash laughed.

Janine "If you want to buy an Egg then follow me."

"Okay."

Then she ran in a direction and Ash followed.

Pikachu "So Ash is chasing after a girl but she is not going to be his girlfriend."

Pikachu "So Dexter cancel Janine's name"

Dexter "Done."

Eevee "So who's next?"

Pikachu "Well that's a secret"

Eevee "Hmph so what about you."

Pikachu "I don't know."

Dexter "Well see ya next time."

Ash and Janine came to a Breeding Center near Safari Park.

Ash "Well let's see what we get in random."

Janine nodded and they entered.

The old man in the center looked at Ash and spoke "Oh Boy so what type do you prefer."

Ash "Well Just Give me a random egg."

Old Man "Well you are the one of the few who like all pokemon okay go to that machine and pull that lever."

Ash "Okay"

Ash then went and pulled the lever and the Machine activated and lights came out and there was an Egg in the Cabinet who's incubator glowed.

The Old Man "Well Take that egg and money will be transferred from your account as this is official league Breeding center."

Ash "And Thanks."

Then he took the Egg and spoke to Janine "Let's go and Warp it."

The Old Man "Are you giving it as a gift."

Ash "Yes"

"Well that is a good idea."

Ash "Hmm"

And then they both left.

On the way to gift shop.

Janine asked "So Ash Is Misty your Girlfriend."

Ash "Nope."

Pikachu "If Ash doesn't care for his little life then he will accept Misty."

"Any girl who you think has crush on you."

Ash started to ponder.

Then his memories went back when he was six years old.

A Honey Blond Hair Girl who he met when she was injured.

But Ash shook his head.

Ash "Nope."

Pikachu "Ash you are boring."

Ash "Oh yeah so what about you."

"Nope."

"Then don't talk like Brock."

Janine laughed "Well you are still young find one who cares for you not you money and looks."

Ash nodded.

Janine "Okay See ya later."

And she left.

Pikachu "So Ash why don't you have a crush."

Ash sighed "Well I first want to be strong and have strength to protect my family and loved ones so till now I have not focused on relationships."

Pikachu "Well that's true what can you do if you can't protect her and your family."

Ash "Well now is not the time to talk about it."

Pikachu "How about some hot dogs on top of a tree house."

Ash "Well let's go and I want to call Professor and Mother."

Ash was eating a hot dog and was dialing Professor Oak's Phone.

Professor Oak appeared on the screen and spoke.

"So Ash how are the things going."

Ash "Peaceful."

"Hmm Good well thank you for getting me an Unown I got a lot of historical information from him."

Ash "Hmm That was easy."

"Well a weakness too hit them from crowbar they will faint."

Ash "What."

Unown appeared with a bandage on his head "Well that was new to me as well but our strength lies in numbers."

Ash nodded.

Ash "Well I have got an Audino who is from Hoenn."

Oak "Hoenn it is thousands of kilometers away did he took a flight."

Ash "Na he fell into a container ship."

"Well that's a way and what is that gift."

Ash "Well that's an Egg for Misty her birthday is tomorrow."

Oak sighed.

Ash "Hmm what happened."

"Well I got some memories from our travel back when I was ten."

Ash "Well I will call you later."

"Okay and don't keep hiding things."

"Yes."

The call was disconnected.

Ash took a breadth "Pikachu how many days?"

"Dexter how many…?

Dexter "A month."

Ash gulped and dialed his home's number.

Then a murderous voice came "ASH KETCHUM YOU STILL KNOW YOUR MOTHER."

Ash "Well Mom I was busy this month."

"Hmph. So how is your journey going in Fuchsia City."

Ash "Well, by the way Mom how are you doing."

Delia "Well Life is monotone."

Ash "Oh want to have a vacation."

Delia "Well I would like to but who will earn money."

Ash "Money is not a problem."

Delia "Well As you wish."

Ding

Ash "Here there are twenty thousand pokedollars here go to beach or somewhere where you like too and enjoy and I will come back home in half a month."

"Thanks Dear and make sure to change your underwear and always I am keeping a watch on you."

Ash "Yes Mom."

Then the call disconnected.

Pikachu said speechlessly "Ash does your underwear have a tracker in it."

Ash "Nope."

Pikachu "Dexter."

"No electric devices."

Pikachu "Ash how can she identify your location without you telling her."

Ash "I don't know."

Then he spoke "Do you have an inbuilt tracker."

Ash "No."

Pikachu "Then one word. Mothers are 'unfathomable'."

Dexter "I don't have an experience."

Pikachu "You are a machine."

Brock and Misty returned to the Center after sunset and then they had dinner and they slept.

Misty [Huh my first birthday far from home let me see who will wish me.]

Ten minutes to twelve.

Ash "Brock Everything Ready."

Brock nodded.

And then they crept into Misty's room.

Misty was sleeping silently.

Brock then placed the cake on the table and all pokemons went into hiding Ash set the alarm clock near Misty."

And everyone waited.

At Midnight.

The Alarm rang.

Misty woke up and spoke "It is morning already."

Then twin burst sounded and a birthday song was played.

Misty was surprised first but then tears appeared in her eyes and she said "Thank you."

Ash "Fast cut the cake I am getting hungry."

Misty "Hmph."

Then she cut the cake and every pokemon and people had a piece.

Ash "Oh Well do you want this."

Misty blinked "Huh gift"

Ash nodded.

Misty then took the Gift form Ash and unwrapped it.

Misty "An Egg."

Ash nodded "Well which what type I don't know its random."

Misty "Thank you."

Brock "Here this is from Me."

Misty then unwrapped the gift from Brock and her eyes were stunned.

Misty "The limited edition Makeup Kit how did you get it."

Brock "Well I won it in a lottery and I had no use for it."

Pikachu smirked "Well you have good luck with girl items."

Ash then looked up and spoke "Planning to come down."

Janine "Ah how did you found me."

And then she slipped and landed on Ash.

Ash "Ouch"

Janine was in Ash's Arms and both blushed and she got up quickly.

Janine "Well Misty Happy Birthday and Here this is from me."

Then she gave Misty a crown like stone.

Misty "King's rock."

Janine "Yes I don't have a use for it and it will help you in your journey."

Misty "Thanks."

As it was late night Janine left quickly and Brock and Ash too left with all the Pokemons.

Misty [Well this is the best birthday it may be short but it is best]

And then she looked at the Egg and felt a connection with it and the she hugged the Egg and slept.
