Chapter 21

The next day Art focused on Faye the Clefairy who keeps complaining about the training being hard but he didn't budge so she had to accept it and trained begrudgingly a bit but was happy when she knows she gets a reward everytime she finishes the training.

It seems like shes quite easy to please, so he worried for nothing.

The others training didn't change alot but Art made sure it was harder they didn't mind it since they know it's benificial for them to get stronger.

After training he returned everyone except Ray into their Poke balls and started moving towards Cerulean for the next badge.

'I got eleven members already, twelve if you count Kabuto who hasn't been revived yet so I still have six slots still and I need a grass type but the only grass types I am willing to catch are the Exeggutor line and Venusaur line' He thought since most of the Kanto grass types he doesn't have an interest in training.

Both Art and Ray passed by many trainer some of which challenged him but was quickly defeated by his team and when he battled with Faye it seems like her Ego had gone up.

He looked at her as she gives a smug face towards her beaten opponent.

In the first day of training Art made sure to beat into her the fighting style he made for her as she quickly adapted to it he was quite surprised by her Talent but everytime she wins a battle she always asks Art for praises he complied but gave her some lessons since she always looks down on her opponents so he said this to her.

"Faye look don't always look down on our opponents because if you do they might pull out something and beat you, but you can still taunt their Pokémon to make them angry and lose their cool making our chance at victory much higher" Art said as Faye looked at him as she nods.

{'So, don't look down at your opponents but you can taunt them? How do I do that? Oh! I know I'll just expect the unexpected from them that's it! But master said that I can taunt them but how do I do that? Act like I'm better than them? But isn't that what I was doing? '} Faye thought as she was thinking about Arts request she didn't know why she was always willing when Art makes a request but when the others tried to ask her about to get things she refuses to do it.

They continued their journey as they then encountered a Familiar face.

'Isn't that?' Art thought in surprise as he looked at a girl around the same Age as him with a Bulbasaur.

'Leaf!' Art said as he saw his Childhood friend who he always come and see him and they are also neighbors and guess what? She's the younger sister of Red.

Art remembered when she always clung onto him everytime she meets him and she always asks him to play with her.

He then snuck up on her as he touched her shoulder.

"Ahh!" Leaf said in surprise as she then landed on the ground and her Bulbasaur was growling at him.

"Long time no see Leaf" Art said with a smile.

"Petal stop!" Leaf said as the Bulbasaur then stopped growling.

Leaf then looked at where the voice came from as she then recognizes who it was.

"Art?!" She exclaimed in surprise.

"Long time no see" He said with a smile on his face.

"How is your adventure going?" Art said as he then pulled her up.

"It's been great actually, a few losses here and there though" Leaf said the last part a bit Upset.

"You know I remember you wanting to become an Actor when we were little" He started as Leaf then Blushes.

"It died down when I heard the being a Pokémon trainer was fun" She replied.

"You... Do know you can do both right?" Art said as Leaf then Realized.

"O-oh, I guess I could try that" Leaf said embarrassed.

"Well it's never too late for that" He said.

"But I think I'll hold that goal off for now" She said since right now that isn't her goal right now.

"Then what is?" Art asked as Leaf then blushed a bit but it quickly goes away before Art could notice.

"I-its uhh it's nevermind!" Leaf shyly said.

"Okay, anyways how are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm doing fine I defeated the Rock type Gym leader in Pewter and caught 2 new members" She replied.

"You only have 3 Pokémon right now?" Art questioned since she should atleast have 4 or 5 by now.

"I have to be careful of my pick for my team since I can only carry 6 Pokémon on my journey" Leaf said since she only knows that you can only have 6 Pokémon on your party.

"Haven't you heard the news? The league updated and brought a new system, here look" Art said as he brought his Phone Dex in front of her with the news article.

Leaf took her time reading the news and was quite shocked.

"How come I haven't seen this before?" She said.

"might be because you don't read the news everyday" Art said since the she barely reads news and focused on other things.

"Oh.... Well how many Pokémon do you have right now?" Leaf asked as Art then shows her his team on his Phone Dex.

"What?! You already have 11? I thought that you would only have like 8 since I know that Prof. Oak gave you 4 but you sure move fast" She said in a bit of surprise but she did expected this a little since Art was always working hard on what Pokémon to have on his team.

"Is it really that surprising? I heard Gary had over around 20 Pokémon by now" Art said as he knew that Gary still has a bit of arrogance in him and most likely did that to flex on Ash since they both still have a Rivalry in both of them.

"Ehh? Really? That little brat used to be so arrogant it was really funny when you beat that arrogant smug on his face a long time ago" Leaf said as she remembered back then Gary was so arrogant that it was really annoying.

"Well now he's only arrogant when Ash is involved" Art said as Leaf then laughed at what Art said.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot" Leaf started.

"Want to battle? A 3 v 3 that is since I only have three Pokémon" She said.

"Are you sure? You do remember when we were kids you could never beat me" Art replied with a small grin.

"That was a simulation but this is real life" Leaf said as she picked up a Poke Ball.

"Alright don't blame me if you lose" Art said with a playful smile.

"Go Cera" Art said as he let out the Beedrill.
