Impulse appeared in Miyama Town of Fuyuki City on the southern end where the western style houses are. He stood in front of a two-story mansion, scanning the building for anything malicious waiting for him. He managed to find multiple sigils placed around the building. He didn't know their intention but decided to try removing them.
He tried erasing it but failed, so he dissipated the magical energy used to activate it, rendering it useless. He then walked into the Mansion, immediately going to the Study room filled with books he couldn't read.
'I can threaten someone to read it for me, but that would be stupid.' Impulse thought, grabbing a book out of the bookcase. He inserted magical energy into the blindfold. Just like the sigils, he removed all the magical energy from the blindfold, causing it to drop to the ground. 'It's like she made it easy for me to remove it.' He thought, knowing that Lorelei could have made the blindfold harder to remove.
He cleaned his eyes, looking around the room. Just then, a figure appeared at the entrance to the study room, staring at him. It was a handsome man in his early twenties with a slim yet muscular build, spiky silver hair, a narrow jawline, and a beauty mark under the left corner of his mouth. He wore a black long-sleeved shirt with black pants tucked into a black boot and a long red coat.
They stared at each other before pointing at each other and simultaneously shouting, "YOU!"
"What are you doing here?" The man asked, glaring at Impulse.
"I should be asking you the same thing. I thought I ate you!" Impulse shouted, forming a spear using Gradation Air and getting in a fighting stance. "I guess I have to kill you again."
"Try it bitch!" The man shouted, opening his arm wide. "I have the origin of reincarnation, so no matter how many times I die, I will always reincarnate."
"Then I will keep killing you till your origin runs out."
"..." The man stared at Impulse before, asking, "You don't know what origin is, right?" Impulse didn't answer, so he continued. "Who fucking care. I will murder you!" He grabbed a book out of the shelf beside the door, and shaped it into a Spear.
They stared at each other, none of them wanting to make the first move. Impulse didn't know how long the man before was in this world. Since he killed him half a year ago? If so, then he must know more magic and have more knowledge than he did. So, allowing him to make the first move would be an advantage on his part. Copy the attack and send it back.
The man didn't know the effect of the mystic eyes Impulse held, so he decided to be careful. "And I see you aren't as strong as you were back in the DC Verse." He asked, spinning his spear. "If you did, I would have already died thousand times over. Did you Prestige or something?"
"How did you appear here, Masaru?" Impulse asked the man now known as Masaru.
"After you killed me, I found myself here." Masaru replied, looking confused himself. "I guess after I connected to the Throne, my soul became held by two words. After I died in DC, the Fate verse pulled me in. Just a theory. You?"
"Same." Impulse lied, his spear disappearing. "You want to win the war just like me. Why don't we team up?"
"What are you getting at?" Masaru asked, not trusting the man before him one bit. A murderer in two lives. A mass murderer in two lives. A country threat in two lives. A planetary threat in one. Following this pattern, in this life, he would be a solar system threat. "Why would I team up with... you?" He asked in a venomous tone.
"Think of it. With us as a team, almost no one would be able to go against us. We can fight other masters together. Kill them. And when we are the last two remainings, we can go at each other's throats." Impulse said, putting his hand out. "Or we can fight here. I kill you. You reincarnate. I find you. I kill you. Rinse repeat. Nothing will get done. A temporary truce will be beneficial for both of us."
Masaru snorted, "If I wanted a team with someone, I would make it with anyone other than you."
"I can help you return home." Impulse continued, a slight smile on his face. "I can cross through dimensions at will, but if I go to another one, my power would be stripped from me. After I win the Grail War, I will open the door for you to return."
"Why would I believe a mastermind manipulator like you?" Masaru asked with a chuckle. "Keep dreaming."
"Really? You don't believe me?" Impulse asked, faking surprise. He doesn't need Masaru's help, but having Masaru chase him around during the Grail War would be a pain in the ass. And who knows. Masaru might be more powerful than him. "Then go on. Keep going for your revenge. What would happen when you kill me? Marry and forget about Diana?"
"Shut up!" Masaru shouted, clinching his spear, his eyes turning from their light blue color to a rainbow color. "Don't you dare utter her name!"
"Oh, stop it. Stop acting like a hero." Impulse said with a sigh. "I don't fucking care about what I did. I mean, I didn't kill Diana, Right?"
Masaru was taken aback by Impulse's sudden outburst. "I mean, you didn't."
"Then what the fuck do you have so much hate for me? Did I kill anyone close to you?" Impulse asked, pointing to the book he was holding at Masaru. "I mean, I don't remember, but did I?"
"No."
"Then why?"
"Be--" Masaru stopped to gather his thoughts before saying. "Because you are evil."
"See, you don't even know the reason. You are just using me as a scale, a gauge, for yourself. You see yourself as 'good' and me as 'bad.' You try your best to be a good guy. Even as far as getting mad at me for no reason." Impulse said, throwing the book at Masaru, causing him to jump out the way. "Stop acting like a little bitch. You only care about those close to you. Your parents died during the spatial rip in your car. Do you still remember them?"
"I-I remember." Masaru stammered, holding his head. Yeah, he remembers them, my father, mother, and my little brother. What was their name again?
"Look at you. I don't even know what to call you. At least I accept I don't love anyone, and no one loves me, but you? You hypnotize yourself, forcing yourself to love someone." Impulse chuckled, covering his mouth. "You are even worse than me."
"Shut up! What are you saying? Is this part of your manipulation trick!?" Masaru shouted, holding his head.
"While you are thinking over your true self, why don't we agree on a truce." Seeing Masaru not responding, he continued. "It seems like the owner of the house is here. How about taking all the books here and running away."
"I don't steal." Masaru mumbled, returning the book to its former shape and placing it back on its shelf.
"Says the one who snuck into someone else's house." Impulse said, packing as much book as he could carry. He picked up his blindfold from the ground before turning to Masaru. "Well, are you going to take some books or not?"
Masaru picked up a book titled [Alter Ego], causing him to space out. A loud noise of Impulse dropping a book brought him back to reality. "How did you know?" He mumbled, clinching the book.
"Hmm? Know what?" Impulse asked, bending down to pick up the book he dropped, in turn dropping more. "Fucking shit. Telekinesis would be great right now." He mumbled.
"How did you know about my self-hypnosis? Is... is it true?"
"I just sprouted bullshit, and it seems to be true." Impulse groaned, picking up all the books he dropped and more. "Now, forget about that for now. We need as many books as we can."
"Yeah," Masaru mumbled, placing the book into his red coat pocket. "Let's get going."
