Chapter 125: pleading, the plot succeeded

Xia Weiyang pursed her lips. She was about to speak when Lu Ziyin interrupted her.

"Don't answer me first. I heard that..." Lu Ziyin stretched out his hand to signal.

"I've heard about you. Now that Shi Jue has Xia Ningyan, you should stop chasing after him. Also, the person you loved in the past was me. I don't believe that you fell in love with Shi Jue in such a short period of time. I was blinded in the past. Now, I finally know who I am. So, Xia Weiyang, come back to me."

"I also know that I hurt your heart back then. It's impossible for you to forgive me right now. But, If you give me a chance, I'll make it up to you."

Lu Ziyin stared deeply into Xia Weiyang's eyes. His gentle eyes were filled with sadness as he looked at Xia Weiyang.

Xia Weiyang hadn't moved in her chair since she sat down.

She looked straight into Lu Ziyin's eyes.

Xia Weiyang's old self would have immediately accepted Lu Ziyin back into her heart.

Xia Weiyang had already learned her lesson when it came to love.

She suddenly stood up. "I'm sorry, Lu Ziyin. I can't go back to the time when we were together. I can't turn back time, and I won't look back. Thank you for your kindness. However, I don't think I'm qualified for this job. Goodbye."

'I hope I never see you again!' Xia Weiyang thought to herself.

"Xia Weiyang!" Lu Ziyin immediately stood up and chased after her. As soon as Xia Weiyang's hand touched the door handle, he grabbed it.

"Xia Weiyang, it's okay if you no longer want to be with me. However, don't put yourself in a bad situation. All the other companies are controlled by Shi Jue. No one will hire you."

"I know that you're still mad at me. I promise you that I will try my best to stay away from you. If you don't want to work by my side, I will get someone to transfer you to the design department."

Xia Weiyang retracted her hand and stepped away from Lu Ziyin.

"Lu Ziyin, you don't have to be so nice to me. You don't owe me anything!"

Xia Weiyang maintained a serious expression on her face.

"But, I just want to make it up to you! Xia Weiyang, please give me this opportunity."

Lu Ziyin then lowered his head. His entire body emitted a strong sense of sadness. "I know that I've been a bad person. I know that I let you down!"

"Xia Weiyang, over these past couple of years, I've been reflecting on myself and the things I did in the past. My heart feels heavy because of the things I did to you. I couldn't breathe because of the guilt in my heart!"

"Xia Weiyang, I beg you, please stay. Give me a chance to atone for my sins!"

"Lu Ziyin, I..."

"You don't have to say it anymore. I've brought this upon myself. What right do I have to ask you for your forgiveness? Xia Weiyang, you can go." Lu Ziyin turned around and felt a deep sense of depression. Sorrow spread from his body and filled the entire office.

Xia Weiyang could not describe how she felt as she watched Lu Ziyin walk away with a sad look on his face.

"Okay. But, if I want to leave, you have to let me go."

Xia Weiyang agreed in the end.

She agreed not because she was soft-hearted. It also wasn't because she still had feelings for Lu Ziyin.

Instead, she agreed because she knew she had to deal with her past in order to become a better person in the future.

A smug smile immediately formed on Lu Ziyin's face after he heard Xia Weiyang's words. Sadness instantly vanished from his eyes.

"That's great! I'm so happy!"

Lu Ziyin's aura completely changed. It was like he transformed into a totally different person.

He then took a step forward and tried to grab Xia Weiyang.
