Marineford was the island of the base of operations for Marine Headquarters, where now the Marine Base G-1, is situated. It is where former Fleet Admiral Sengoku and the admirals resided, along with many vice admirals and lower officers when they were not assigned to another base. The city surrounding Marineford was inhabited by the families of Marine soldiers.

It is situated near the Sabaody Archipelago, and laid directly next to Mary Geoise on the Red Line. The only safe way to reach Marineford is through the Gates of Justice. And where Portgas D. Ace and nicknamed "Fire Fist" Ace of the Whitebeard Pirates is to be executed.

All around the world, people voice their opinions on the execution and if Whitebeard will really show up. A few doubt his strength due to his old age and the number of the Marine forces. Others, who personally met Whitebeard and even retired from piracy just by being around him, think otherwise. Even children know of Whitebeard's raw strength and sing a playground song about him. Meanwhile, the inhabitants of Marineford, a city where the families of Marines reside, have been evacuated due to the coming war. On the Sabaody Archipelago, monitors have been set up to broadcast the execution to its inhabitants as Ace arrives at the execution stand. The patrol ships sent to deal with Whitebeard's forces are sunk and never heard from again. Thus, Marineford is understandably on edge as the three hours until the execution countdown.

John Giant rallies his forces as a staggering one hundred thousand elite troops prepare for battle. Fifty Marine ships are stationed around the island, with cannons lining the coastline. The remaining Warlords of the Sea (Kuma, Moria, Doflamingo, Mihawk and Boa Hancock) are at the forefront of it all. Ace is located atop the execution stand at the rear of the island. Watching over him are the three Marine Admirals: Kizaru, Akainu, and Aokiji. With this, nearly every justice force imaginable is gathered, waiting for Whitebeard to make his move. On the Tarai Current, Luffy and the Impel Down escapees have finally reached the gate to Marineford. Jinbe tries to think of a way to penetrate it while Buggy rallies his followers.

Back at the execution stand, Sengoku tells Garp that he is going to tell the audience "everything", to which Garp replies that he can do as he wishes. Sengoku then takes the stage and orders the executioners to step back a moment before addressing the audience through a Den Den Mushi. He begins by stating there was something critical he needed to share about Ace before asking the Second Division Commander who his father was. Ace replies that Whitebeard is his father, but Sengoku claims he is not. Sengoku then goes on to say that the Marines searched an island for the possibility that a certain man had born a child. Newborns, children yet to be born, and even the mothers, but they did not find anything. However, there was a reason for it, and that was Ace's mother.

Portgas D. Rouge, the mother of Ace, who was from the South Blue on an isle known as Baterilla, performed a feat that even the Marines did not think was possible. She had kept Ace in her womb for twenty full months, far past the point of Ace's natural childbirth. When Ace was eventually born, Rouge died, having used up all her strength. This took place exactly one year and three months after the death of Ace's true father. Sengoku then announces to the Marines and the world that Ace's father is none other than Gol D. Roger himself. As the Marines react in shock to this, Garp recalls to himself when Roger asked him to take care of Ace, citing that his unborn child bears no sin just for being born.

Around the world, the audience is shocked to learn that Roger had a son and that his bloodline lives on to this day. Those on Marineford are rendered speechless, though those that know Luffy personally (Hancock, Koby, and Helmeppo) are surprised to find out that Luffy and Ace are not actually related. Garp, meanwhile, continues to think of the past, when he met with Roger in his cell before his execution. Roger explained that he was going to have a son but would not live long enough to see him and personally requested Garp to take care of him, knowing what would happen if either Rouge or Ace were found by the World Government. Garp seemed hesitant at first, but Roger was confident that Garp would honor his final request.

Shortly after Roger died, the Marines arrived on Baterilla, going off reports that Roger had acted unlike himself on the island. They begin to investigate all newborns, mothers, and pregnant women, even giving orders to kill any mother who may seem suspicious to them. Through it all, however, Rouge managed to keep Ace in her womb and avoid their notice. Eventually, the Marines left the island, and Rouge, under the care of Garp, was able to bear Ace safely. However, she only had a moment to hold her son before she died from exhaustion. A few years afterward, Garp left Ace under the care of Curly Dadan, a friend of his and a caretaker of Luffy, which is how the two first met. Garp then goes back to his last meeting with Ace, who mentioned that both Luffy and he had the blood of world-class criminals in their veins, which he meant Luffy having the Revolutionary leader, Dragon's blood, and Ace the Pirate King's. He also took Portgas as his surname out of love for his mother, who saved his life.

In the present, Sengoku continues by mentioning that two years ago, Ace took to the sea as the captain of the Spade Pirates. His strength and speed caused the World Government to realize that Roger's bloodline had not ended. However, Whitebeard had noticed it too, and he recruited Ace before the World Government could reach him. Sengoku, however, notes that Whitebeard did so to make Ace into the next Pirate King. Ace heavily denies it, but Sengoku rebuffs him, ending his speech by saying that if they left Ace that way, he would have surely stood above all other pirates, which is why this execution is so important, even if it meant going to war with Whitebeard.

Then Sengoku's pants fell down, along with everyone who is standing up. While they literally had their pants down and the marines who weren't standing looking around in confusion wondering what's happening, Ace was lank backwards and flew into the horizon. Away from the Navy HQ and out of their hands. Unseen by anyone is a small Visual Den Den Mushi, a cameko is also following him as it floated in the air like him in a small glass jar with air holes in the lid.

"What happen?" Sengoku shouted pulling up his pants. 

He got his answer as a beautiful young woman with long brown hair and brown eyes appeared behind Garp who has remained where he was sitting. Wearing her signature red coat and hat along with a cat suit underneath, along with a pair of black boots. It wasn't that hard to figure out who she is, as she made it a big game in stealing things and always getting away. 

"Carmen SAN DIEGO!" Sengoku shouted in rage. 

"Yes it's me, see you next crime," Carmen said blowing him a kiss as she jumps behind Garp.

Sengoku knocks Garp aside only to find that she's gone. 

"LOCK THE ISLAND DOWN NO ONE LEAVES TILL WE FIND HER!" Sengoku shouted out.

Far Away -

Ace flew right towards The Red Line, which is a vast ring-like continent which wraps around the entire world, east of the North and West Blues and west of the South and East Blues. As its name implies, the Red Line is made of reddish mineral. It is said to go 10,000 meters deep from the surface of the sea to Fish-Man Island at the ocean floor. At the same time, the top of the Red Line is high enough above sea level to be considered impassable. The Red Line is also indestructible, even the power of the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, which can repel anything at the speed of light, cannot break through it. Additionally, the Red Line is like a group of islands connected together. The Red Line that crosses the Grand Line has its own Summer, Winter, Spring, and Fall "islands".

While the continent appears to make it impossible for any boat wishing to cross between the seas or to certain sections of the Grand Line, there are certain pass points at which a ship, or at least the crew, can cross between the Blues. One way is by going up the waterways of Reverse Mountain, typically used by pirates to enter the Grand Line. Another way is by gaining permission from the World Government to pass through the holy land of Mary Geoise, though this route means that a crew would have to leave their ship behind and get a new one on the other side. Finally, a crew could get their ship coated, allowing it to submerge down to Fish-Man Island, allowing them to reach a gigantic hole (though in the grand scheme of things, the hole is actually very tiny) at the bottom of the Red Line that links directly between Paradise and the New World.

Ace flying towards the landmass ended up being pulled into a hidden cave made on the cliff face. Coming into a large lit room and being drop to the feet of the one who saved him. The cameko in the glass jar flew to the person who using an unseen power opens the jaw and place the snail on a table with a dish with greens on it. 

"This is just like how I use to have to save you and the other two idiots," the woman said.

"Sunset?" Ace ask looking at his old friend.

Sunset Shimmer had showed up showed up one day on Dawn Island, where he grew up. The kingdom of Goa encompasses the entirety of Dawn Island. The vast majority of its population lives inside or near the large circular wall surrounding the main towns of the kingdom. Goa's main towns are located on the southern shore of the island. 

There are different towns separating the different social classes in Goa. Outside the main wall surrounding it lies the Gray Terminal, where the trash collected in the kingdom is thrown. Inside the wall, there is Edge Town, then the Town Center, and lastly the High Town which hosts the Royal Palace. Beyond the wall, there are many small villages around the island, such as Foosha, along side vast agricultural plains, and a vast number of mountains near the kingdom's main wall itself is surrounded by the Mt. Colubo.

Being the oldest, she took the lead with him, Sabo, and Luffy following her. She could use telekinesis to move things around and told stories to them of her life before she ended up on Dawn Island. The tales of a magical world full of talking animals and magic filled their heads. But then she disappeared one day and Ace hasn't seen her since that day. 

"Yes, it's me," Sunset said as she used her powers to break the sea stone cuffs with her telekinesis and magic. (1)

"What happen to you?" Ace ask.

"I was captured by slavers and woke up on a ship. I broke out when we dock and killed the crew. After that, I wandered around for years, picking up things here and there. Made a home right underneath Mary Geoise, and been living off of their trash. You be surprise at what they toss away and I pick up," Sunset said waving to all the things she has gotten from the trash of the World Nobles, which are all very expensive and even the simple dress that Sunset is wearing is simple but opulent  thanks to the fact it's made out of silk and gold treads. 

"How did you save me?" Ace ask. 

"My telekinesis has grown much stronger since we were kids. All I need was to be able to see something to use my powers, and with the snail I was able to pull the marine's pants down and pull you to me. While Carmen distracted the marines into searching the island for her. I setup dummies with her hat and jacket all around the island," Sunset explains. 

"You work with Carmen?" Ace ask. 

"No, I made her like I did with the others," Sunset said.

"What?" Ace ask.

"Let's just say I have been hiding in the shadows for a very long time and been pinching things here and there for years. You be surprise at what, I can do now that I can use magic again," Sunset said smirking at her old friend who is completely clueless, just as she remembers him.

"Hiding?" Ace ask.

"Yes and the marines made the big mistake of gathering so many of their strongest all in one place, leaving so many places undermanned," Sunset said. 

"What are you planning?" Ace ask remembering that look.

"Oh I'm going to have some fun and cause chaos," Sunset replied.

Author's Notes -

1 - Sunset can use Equestrian magic which is much stronger than all the stuff that happens in the One Piece world. As she can control it and Equestrian magic leaking into the One Piece world explains why all the stuff is as it is in that world. As the entire setting of One Piece doesn't make sense at all but you turn that off for the fun you have in reading it. 

It's basically what happens if Discord is allowed to change the world as he wants and no one is there to stop him. Rivers that go up, sailing upside down, fire in the sky, freezing cold seas,  big holes in the sea that never fills up. It's the only way to explain how it all can happen in my story at least. Can't wait till the creator shows why the world is as it is, and hoping it's not like a VR world like what happen in the ending of Get Backers.
