"Three types of Haki, one of which is Observation Haki, also known as the Mantra of your Sky Island!"
Shiro patiently explained to Enel, his gaze occasionally shifting towards the direction of the ruins.
After the battle, Shiro's initial plan was to study the robots they had encountered. But, to his surprise, as soon as the battle ended and the thunder dispersed, the group of robots quickly retreated back into the ruins. Now, Robin was busy surveying the periphery, while Enel lay on the ground, visibly shaken.
Shiro was in no rush to study the robots. His primary goal for coming to the moon was to recruit Enel as a cadre of his forces. Now that Enel was subdued, it was time to get down to business.
"Haki? Combat skills? Are you saying I relied too much on my Fruit before?" Enel pondered.
"However, all my previous opponents crumbled against my lightning, even the Sky Island couldn't withstand my power. Before meeting you, only that woman's captain could resist me. That guy's immunity to lightning is freakish."
Enel sat up, feeling his defeat deeply. Despite expecting death, Shiro, unlike the straw hat idiot from before, spared him and spoke kindly. Shiro's strength was undeniable—far beyond anything Enel had ever seen.
"Everything in the past is over, Enel. Is there any joy in proclaiming yourself a god in this barren land?" Shiro asked pointedly.
"Living among lifeless, emotionless robots as a mere power source—is this what you consider the life of a god?"
With the preamble out of the way, Shiro got straight to the point. Robin was likely finishing her survey, and time was not on their side. The World Conscription was imminent, and Shiro needed to move quickly.
"What are you getting at?" Enel asked, still trying to grasp Shiro's intentions.
"It means, come with me to the Blue Sea below your Sky Island. Down there, countless powerful beings exist. With your abilities, you could be called a true god. And if you join me as one of my main cadres, our enemies will be those so-called gods—the Celestial Dragons who rule the world. Our goal is to overthrow the old gods!"
Shiro's words, laced with the power of Conqueror's Haki and the skill of the Voice of God, struck a deep chord in Enel. No matter his original purpose for coming to this so-called infinite land, the desolation of the moon was undeniable. It offered endless challenges and opportunities, and Shiro's proposal was hard to refuse.
"Think it over. You have one hour," Shiro said, noticing the shock on Enel's face. He knew he almost had him. At that moment, Robin's expression turned to one of surprise; she must have found something significant.
Without wasting another second, Shiro vanished in a flash of lightning, appearing beside Robin. Enel, watching Shiro's incredible speed, felt a mix of awe and helplessness. The powerhouses of the Blue Sea seemed more numerous and formidable than he had ever imagined. Perhaps it would be thrilling to measure himself as a god down there.
"Shiro, come look at this!" Robin called out eagerly, pointing at the nearby wall.
"What is it?" Shiro asked, following her gaze.
Carved into the rubble were strange murals depicting humanoid figures—some with wings, others without. The scenes appeared to narrate the beginnings of a race, but much was obscured, leaving only fragmented glimpses.
"I have a hunch these murals might be related to the historical texts," Robin said, her excitement palpable. "As an archaeologist, I can't be sure, but I feel it strongly. There might be a connection to the Moon!"
Shiro smiled at Robin's enthusiasm. Though the truth of the past interested him less than it did her, he appreciated her passion.
"Go ahead and record the murals. We can study them later. Let's enter the ruins—there might be more inside."
Robin nodded, but Shiro remained focused. For him, the past was just that—past. His concerns lay with the present and future. Overthrowing the World Government and eliminating the Celestial Dragons were promises he made to Hancock. The emergence of ancient truths wouldn't sway him from his path.
As they prepared to enter the ruins, Enel suddenly approached. "Yeah haha, Shiro, if you're going in, let me lead the way. After all, this used to be my shrine!"
Enel's gesture was an olive branch, an acceptance of Shiro's offer.
"Haha, alright, lead the way, Enel!" Shiro grinned. Successfully recruiting Enel would be a great asset for the upcoming battles, especially against the World Conscription. Enel was set to become one of his key cadres.
"By the way, Enel, take us to the place where you usually serve as a free power bank," Shiro added, amused.
