Thunk
Steph's body hit the mat with a thunk. The impact jarred her entire body. She hoped it knocked some sense in her because, at the moment, she had no idea why working out with Mr. Smith and the Amazonian twins sounded like a good idea. After warm-ups, stretching, cardio, and now her first lesson in hand-to-hand combat, it felt like self-imposed torture.
Damn Hong Gi for bowing out in deference for a video conference with the BEXT people. He should be here to experience the pain with her. He owed her at least a full body massage and taking over all the cooking duties for a week. That is if Steph could ever move again. Right now, it felt like magnets were holding her pressed into the mat.
