Prologue

[Nearby Park]

A 17 year old boy is sitting on a bench reading fanfictions from his phone. He sighed and looked at the scene of his siblings having fun with their friends . 'Sigh, those guys are having so much fun, while I'm here reading about people going to anime worlds, finding love and having fun with their cheats.'

Neo is an socially awkward, he can't really start conversations and meet other people with confidence. The last time he tried being friends with someone new was very awkward and dowright embarrassing. 'Fucking hell, why is it so hard to make new friends?!' Looking up to the sky, he made a sad smile, "Dammit Lia, it's really easier when you're still here with me..."

Lia was his bestfriend for the last 6 years. She had a black ponytail and light skin. She might not be the prettiest girl in the school, but she is who Neo ever wanted to be with. 'Remembering back now. I honestly think, that I wouldn't had have any friends without her in the first place.'

[7 Years ago]

"Alright class! Today, we are going to have group projects. Please make a group of 3 people and finish it by two days from now!" The teacher announced.

'Dammit, why is it always with someone?!' I rubbed my forehead and had an annoyed expression on my face. I looked around to see people going to their friends to make a group and talking to each other.

I sighed "...I guess, I should find myself a group." I tried to stand up to find a group before someone poked me from the back. I looked back and saw a girl with light skin and a black ponytail. She had an uneasy smile. "Uhh... Hi there, were missing one more person in our group. You want to join?"

I simply stared at her and nodded. Her smile widened, "Ah! Great let's go meet the others then, we don't want them to be waiting." she grabbed my wrist and pulled me with a smile on her face. With a tired expression, I sighed and let myself be pulled.

[Flashback End]

'Heh, I was such an introvert back then... and I still am.' I thought. Remembering what happened, my smile slowly became a frown and tears were starting to fall down my face. 'DAMMIT LIA! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE IN SUCH A STUPID ACCIDENT!'

[Last Year, Febuary 27]

I was playing basketball at the court with some classmates. "Neo! Pass!" I looked at him and passed the ball. "GO!" I shouted at him. He tried to ran to the hoop but was blocked by the guard. I went and ran at the hoop, I faced him and did a sign, he looked at me and knew what to do.

He passed the ball to me and ran ahead. While the guard, distracted by the pass he made tried to find where the ball went. I caught the ball, and start to dribble my way to the hoop and I tried to shoot but misses. 'Shit!' but after it misses, Victor went and grabbed the ball mid air slaming it down the hoop. "OOOOOH!!" My arms when up while shouting. I went to him and said, "Good game Vic! I need to meet up with Lia after this."

Victor just smiled and teased, "Oh? You're meeting up with your girlfriend? You going on a date or something?" I looked at him blushing "N-no! I was just going to meet at that cafe she wanted to see! Nothing like that!" He just laughed "Hahaha, alright then be sure to tell her I said hi."

Jeez.. "Fine, I'm gonna go now bye!" he waved at me "Bye!" I went out of the courtyard and went back home to take a shower.

[15 Minutes Later]

'Uhh.. what did Dad said to use for a date? Man perfume? Really? Ok then' I used the man perfume and went to the door, "Kyle! Kris! I'm going to go now be sure to lock the door!" They just shouted from the sofa "Ok! Have fun with Lia!" I went out and used a taxi to go to where she's at.

When i got there, I saw her waving at me trying to tell me that she's there. 'Oh, there she is.' I smiled and walked to her. "Finally! Your here, I've been waiting for sometime now." I rubbed the back of my head, "Hehe, sorry I was playing basketball with Vic and the rest of the guys." She sighed "Fine, I guess that's alright."

"Come on! The cafe has a coffee that I want to try! Linda said it's great!" She grabbed my wrist and pulled me with her. I just smiled and went with her, 'She's just like always, so energetic.'

We went to the cafe, and the first thing I see is a logo of the cafe "Anteiku". "Ahh, Is this cafe just like the one from Tokyo Ghoul?" She just nodded, "Yeah it is! And it's great! I didn't know you watch anime." I just smiled wryly "I only got into it because of my siblings" She just smiled and took a seat on the chair infront of the counter.

We both ordered our drink and talk about each other's day.

[10 Minutes later]

When we're done, we went out to the park and sat on one of the benches there. I looked at her and saw that she was smiling at the scenery. We looked at the scenery together, before the silence was getting awkward she asked. "Hey Neo. You ever wondered if there are worlds out there different than ours? Like if there were anime worlds or manga worlds out there waiting to be explored, while were here in this boring world with nothing special?"

I thought for a second and answered, "Well, even if there really are other worlds. As long as you're here with me, it's already special." She blushed a little and looked away, "Jeez, what a cheesy line, where did you even get that from?"

"Hehe, I got it from an anime i watched yesterday. I thought it would be a perfect moment to say it, since the atmosphere was just asking for it" I laughed a little thinking 'Damn, I thought that was the best time to advance.'

Then she suddenly asked, "Y'know, I have been wanting to ask. Are you in love with me?" I just frozed while my mind went into overdrive, 'WHERE THE HELL DID THAT QUESTION CAME from?! ACCEPT! ACCEPT! THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO IMPROVE OUR RELATIONSHIP! DO IT! JUST DO IT!' I felt my face getting hotter, "Ahhahaahaa... Uh... I-i where did that question came from?" 'YOU IDIOT WHY DID YOU ASK JUST ANSWER THE GODDAMN QUESTION'

"Well, we've known each other for 6 years now. And i wanted to know if you felt anything for me, just like me to you..." She whispered the last one. I gathered my courage to say YES and opened my mouth, "YE-" Before I answered we heard a loud noise coming from behind, and saw a light shining at us.

A speeding truck came from behind and was going to hit us. I panicked and tried to push Lia away from the truck but I reacted too late and got pushed away by her instead. I didn't know what happend, it was too fast for me to process it.

The truck didn't stop and went full speed ahead to the big statue at the middle. *BANG* I shakingly stood up and went to the crash. "L-Lia? LIA! LIA! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T DIE!" I saw her body crushed between the truck and the statue. "LIA HANG IN THERE! I'M GOING TO CALL FOR HELP! PLEASE STAY WITH ME!" I took my phone out and called for emergency. *BRRR BRRR BRRR* 'COME ON COME ON ANSWER ANSWER ME'

"SHIT! LIA DONT GO! STAY CONSCIOUS! WERE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL AND YOU'RE GOING TO BE JUST FINE, ALRIGHT!" I hold her hand and prayed to whatever god out there to help. I felt her gripping my hand and looked at me, she was coughing blood but still managed to talk. "H-hey *cough*, l-looks like i'm gonna die." She smiled, "I-its alright though maybe,*cough* I'll get isekai'd like those anime protaganists"

"STOP JOKING AROUND! YOU'RE DYING! YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO TALK! KEEP YOUR ENERGY WE CAN STILL WAIT FOR THE AMBULANCE TO ARRIVE" I shouted at her. 'WHAT IS SHE THINKING?! JOKING AROUND RIGHT NOW, WHEN SHE'S CLEARLY DYING.'

She tried to make me stay calm, "C-come on now, *cough* I will meet you someday again, just like what you say right. 'As long as you're here with me everything is special.' I-I feel tired i'm going to sleep." That didn't calm me at all.

"No... NONONONONO DON'T SLEEP STAY AWAKE PLEASE WE'RE ALWAYS GOING TO BE TOGETHER RIGHT?! JUST STAY AWAKE"

"Hey... Let's meet again someday, and have fun like we always do." her grip is getting weaker. "I love you..." and with that last sentence her gripped lost it's strength and fell to the ground.

Before I knew it I was crying, "Dammit, you idiot..." I sat down beside her body, looking at her face that was smiling. "I love you too..."

[Flashback End]

"Hey Neo!! Come on! It's time we go back home!" Kris shouted while walking towards me and he saw me crying. "Are you still thinking about Lia..." Kris frowned, "I thought you were over it already." I looked at him and said with some anger in my voice, "Do you really think it's easy to get over this?! THIS?!" Kris just backed away knowing that this was a sore topic. "Alright, alright sorry. Let's just go back home, mom told us to be there at 6."

I shakingly sighed, "Alright... Let's go" Kris went ahead and go with kyle while I followed them from the back. When we were crossing the roud a familiar sound was approaching. I looked towards the left and I saw a truck speeding and definitely not stopping anytime soon.

"SHIT! NOT AGAIN!" I shouted, anger and frustration filled my voice. 'I'M NOT LOSING PEOPLE CLOSE TO ME TWICE!' Kris' and Kyle's eyes widened in shock. Before it came and hit us, I pushed Kris and Kyle away from it's direction and got hit instead of them. *BANG*
