Chapter 407: Welcome to Konoha!

At this time, Shisui had risen to the rank of Jounin. Despite his youth, his judgment and execution skills were exceptional. Namikaze Minato had placed him as a team leader, a decision that quickly proved wise. The Security Department's responsibilities had expanded. Not only did they ensure the safety of the village, but they also had the authority to operate beyond its borders and apprehend potential threats. Soon, the task was assigned to the Uchiha clan.

The Uchiha Clan's Resolve

"I'll handle it," came a steady voice as Uchiha Fugaku prepared to delegate the mission.

"Madara-sama? But this is such a small matter—" Fugaku began, only to be interrupted by Uchiha Madara himself.

"It's fine," Madara said with a calm yet commanding tone. "While it's comfortable staying in the village, fighting brings me more joy. Besides, other villages are stirring. It's time to show them the power of Uchiha."

With that, Madara left the clan compound and made his way toward the village gates.

"Minister, should we—?" Natsume and Nagasawa hesitated.

"Continue your missions," Fugaku instructed. "But do not neglect your training. War may be on the horizon."

"Yes!" the two responded, vanishing to carry out their duties.

Madara's New Aura

As Madara walked through the village, villagers whispered in awe.

"Is that Uchiha Madara? What a powerful presence!"

"He's so majestic! Is this the legendary Madara-sama who returned to Konoha? He doesn't seem as intimidating as I thought."

"Madara-sama, are you heading out on a mission?" a curious little girl asked, wide-eyed.

"Yes," Madara replied, his tone even. "Some bad people want to disrupt Konoha's peace. I'm going to drive them away and protect the village."

During this period, Obito and Shisui had been helping Madara refine his expression and interactions with others. The results were evident—Madara no longer radiated an air of fear and hostility, but one of dignity and confidence.

"Madara-sama, please drive all the bad guys away!" the girl said cheerfully, offering him a lollipop.

Madara accepted it, unwrapped the candy, and placed it in his mouth. "Thank you," he said, gently patting her head.

For the first time, Madara felt a sense of what Hashirama had described—a desire to protect.

Madara Meets the Threat

Soon, Madara arrived outside the village, where Hyuga Pyo briefed him.

"Madara-sama, why are you here? This is just a reconnaissance mission!" Pyo exclaimed, surprised.

"How many are there? How long have they been here? Are they from one force or several?" Madara asked, ignoring the question.

"We've observed over 20 ninjas operating in small teams. They don't seem to be coordinating," Pyo replied.

"I see." Before Hyuga Pyo could say more, Madara activated his Sharingan. With a sudden burst of energy, he vanished.

"Protect the village ninjas and assist Madara-sama!" Pyo ordered, mobilizing the hidden Hyuga clan members nearby.

The Enemy's Overconfidence

A short distance away, a group of Sunagakure ninjas convened.

"Konoha has probably noticed us by now," one ninja said smugly. "Let's pull back. The mission is complete."

"This should humble Konoha," another agreed. "They've grown arrogant. It's time they felt pressure from all of us."

Sunagakure, along with other villages, had joined forces in an attempt to destabilize Konoha. Their ultimate goal was simple: weaken Konoha and seize its resources.

"Let's leave before they retaliate," one suggested.

"Boom!"

A figure crashed down in their midst, shrouded in dust and smoke.

"Leave?" a deep, commanding voice rang out. "We in Konoha are very hospitable. Since you're here, stay a while."

The dust cleared to reveal Madara, his black-and-white hair shimmering, Sharingan blazing, and an aura of sheer dominance radiating from his form.

"Uchiha Madara!" one ninja gasped, trembling as his kunai slipped from his hand. He collapsed to the ground in sheer terror.

"Even you, Madara Uchiha, can't—" Before the ninja could finish, Madara gripped his head with one hand.

"Welcome to Konoha," Madara said coldly, slamming the man's head into the ground with bone-crushing force.

The remaining three didn't stand a chance. In a blur of motion, Madara incapacitated them within moments.

"With this pitiful strength, you dare to challenge Konoha?" Madara scoffed, his voice tinged with disdain. "Hashirama, the peaceful world you envisioned seems so far away."

Though his perspective on the village had softened, Uchiha Madara remained a terrifying force to his enemies, a demon whose mere presence could shake even the bravest warriors.
