Senju Takumi glanced at the attribute panel in his mind and let out a faint sigh. Despite decades of living in different Hokage eras, he was still at the Genin stage in terms of strength, which made him feel embarrassed among the other travelers. While others seemed to effortlessly gain invincible power, he needed to change the plot of Hokage to earn plot points.

Success would grant him plot points to improve his attributes infinitely and become the strongest ninja, but failure had left him in his current state. He felt like he belonged to the wrong era.

As the only surviving senior member of the Senju clan, Senju Takumi had become a contemporary figure with Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara at the beginning of his journey. In his youthful days, he was bold and ambitious, attempting to single-handedly assassinate Uchiha Madara to forcibly change the plot. However, the encounter with Madara's father resulted in his failure and injuries.

From that point on, he found himself unable to alter the plot anymore. The successive Hokages, Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju, ruled during his time, and Takumi had no chance to influence the course of events.

Now, in his old age, he spends time growing flowers and reminiscing about the past. His grandson, Senju Sato, shows him some respect, unlike many of the younger clan members. As the eldest in the clan, he looks forward to attending the family meeting the next day, anticipating a battle of wits and courage with his defiant nephew, the Great Elder.

Lying in bed, Takumi contemplates the possibility of seizing an opportunity when Sarutobi Hiruzen becomes the Third Hokage to finally change the plot. However, doubts arise due to his old age and limited remaining time. Nevertheless, he decides to focus on his peaceful pursuits like cultivating flowers.

Suddenly, a surprising development occurs. The system, which had remained silent all this time, now communicates with him, revealing the ability to apply plot points to any status bar line. Perplexed by this revelation, Takumi wonders why he couldn't communicate with the system before. The answer surprises him – it was because he had previously wanted to change the plot.

Curiosity and uncertainty loom as Takumi faces this unexpected turn of events.
