61. A Glimpse of Eight Gates

Guy's Eight Gates technique is so interesting to watch that Zoro decides to be defensive again. He keeps trying to block Guy's high speed attacks using his swords.

Although Guy isn't as fast as Raikage, keeping up with his speed is still difficult for Zoro, especially with Kakashi also attacking him at high speed too.

So Zoro needs to focus his Observation Haki on the 2 of them at the same time. In a way, this battle is more troublesome than when he fights Raikage.

Because of their good cooperation, Zoro sometimes misses blocking their attacks with his swords. When that happens, he uses his Armament Haki to block instead of dodging.

He can dodge, but it will lower the intensity of their battle. Besides, this is a good chance to train his Observation Haki, reflex, agility, and speed. This is a sparring match, training, so he needs to use it well to improve himself.

With that mindset, Zoro keeps trying to block all of their attacks. Slowly, he stops missing blocking their attacks using his swords.

But before he can fully block all of their attacks without missing a single one, the 2 young ninjas are running out of gas first and fall tiredly.

Zoro can only sigh before sheathing his swords back to their scabbards. He was hoping they could do more because they are important characters in this world.

'Well, they are still too young now, so I shouldn't hope too much. Besides, they are already strong for their ages. They are already on par with most A-Rank missing nins that I've ever fought, so they aren't bad actually.'

These guys are not bad at all. It's just that Zoro is abnormally powerful for his age, thanks to the "cheat" talents that he received from the God that sent him here.

"What do you mean?"

"Fufu, you know what I mean. Someone who could hold the 9 Tailed Fox on his own is fighting against some chuunins. Even if they fight you together, their winning chance is extremely low. You were playing around with them, weren't you?"

"It wasn't me who chose them. Your husband was the one sending them to fight me. I was simply requesting for some sparring matches against Konoha ninjas and never asked for some specific people. Instead, you should feel sorry about me. It's not like I don't know why Minato sent them instead of some strong jonins."

Kushina smiles wryly while Mikoto giggles. They also know that Minato sent those kids here to spar with Zoro so they could learn from him whose age is similar to them but already has such power.

"He really is an interesting child, Kushina. But it really surprised me that a swordsman can be this strong. His techniques are also much different from shinobi swordsmen."

Mikoto watched the entire sparring match with her sharingan. She is an experienced shinobi who has fought many enemies including shinobi swordsmen.

So she knows that Zoro's swordsmanship skills are different from those shinobis who use swords as their weapons.

"Well, from my perspective, those people that you mean aren't swordsmen. They are shinobis who simply use swords as their weapons. Sure, they are skilled with their swords. But all those people that I've fought are not focusing on their swordsmanship like me and other swordsmen from the Land of Iron. We are prioritizing swordsmanship above other skills, but they are still prioritizing ninjutsu even if they are called swordsmen. "I have fought some samurais from the Land of Iron. Although their techniques utilize chakra, I can't say that those are ninjutsu. So I was surprised when you used defensive ninjutsu to block their attacks."

Fugaku seems very interested in Zoro's Armament Haki. His sharingan is powerful even among Uchiha clan members. But even he couldn't see the chakra flow when Zoro used Armament Haki.

"Hmm, well, my Master said it's something that you ninjas call as Kekkei Genkai? But even he doesn't know how I can use it because he never knows any clan that have this ability. No one else knows it too even after I asked around for years because I'm very curious."

"You don't ask your parents?"

"They aren't in this world." Zoro is telling the truth because his parents are really not in this world, but in another world. He says that to be ambiguous because people will always assume that his parents have died and won't ask more.

"That's fine."

Fugaku is silent for a moment before saying, "Then, that means it is your unique ability. Sometimes it can happen because of the chakra mutation. That's why he needs to make sure he has enough power to protect those dear to him when he starts his own family. At the very least, he needs to be able to protect them when he's still alive.

'I still hope my descendants will inherit Haki even if it will make people jealous. This ability is too good to not be passed down even if it might put them in danger. High risk high return.'

In the world of One Piece, Haki is a powerful ability that is possessed by all powerful people. Also, Zoro wants his great physical power to be passed down as well because even if his descendants have low amounts of chakra, their physical power can help them overcome most troubles.

Zoro suddenly sighs while thinking about that. He doesn't even have a girlfriend yet and already thinks about descendants. Though there's nothing wrong with thinking about the future.
