Chapter 8: Clan

Hagoromo Clan Compound

Inside of a small courtyard, a child who was heavily sweating could be seen fighting against a pale slender man with the slender man blocking many of his attacks, but also being pushed back.

The child was obviously our main character, Adrian, and with him was Ono who was helping him by pointing out his flaws in combat.

Adrian now looked more mature as he had dark blue hair and brown eyes. He had a short stature but looked quite handsome as he continued to try to catch Ono off guard to no avail.

"Young master you are training much harder than usual, usually around this time you would go help Lady Kaya with cooking" said Ono while dodging a knee.

"I know, but I just feel I'll make a breakthrough today if I keep going." said the now 6 year old Adrian while throwing an uppercut.

The two then countinued this for another 30 minutes until Adrian finally collapsed.

"It seems you have fully learned the taijutsu techniques of the clan."

Just as Adrian was about to get happy, Ono continued.

"However, even though your body is much more powerful than even those a few years older than you, your body is still child sized and you haven't reached your full potential for growth. So you won't be able to exert the full power of the techniques."

"I know." said Adrian, as he also knew he couldn't use the maximum strength contained in the technique.

"Well wash up young master, Lady Kaya is most likely done with your dinner." said Ono while leaving.

After ensuring that Ono had left, Adrian then spoke to himself while smiling.

"System open the attribute panel."

'I'm glad I was able to complete my new task'

~3 months ago~

Just as Adrian finished his daily task that morning, he heard a robotic voice in his head.

Ding! [Host has completed his original Daily Task. Template Integration has reached 25%. This Daily Task will no longer be available]

'What the Hell!'

'That means my original plan is completely thrown off since I won't be able to do it anymore. Damnit.'

Just as Adrian was going home, he heard the robotic voice again.

Ding! [Host has received a new Task. Accept Y/N]

Adrian immediately pressed yes and received his task.

[New Task: Fully learn your Clans Strong Arm techniques, Reward 2% Template Integration]

~Flashback End~

After receiving that test, he immediately asked Ono to train him in it since his father was busy on clan affairs.

So for the last 3 months he's been training everyday, afterwards he washes up and helps his mother cook dinner so that he could spend time with her.

After recieving his reward he came into the house and went to the shower.

After coming out he went to the dinner table, where he saw his father already sitting while his mother was placing everyone's plates on the table.

"I'm surprised you aren't helping your mother." Oden said as Adrian usually helping her cook and learn how to from her.

"I was training too long today, but Ono said I successfully learned the clans taijutsu techniques fully." responded Adrian.

"I'm not surprised. You're my son." proudly said Oden

The three descended into a comfortable silence until Kaya asked Oden "Is the clan meeting still tomorrow or has it been moved"

"Yes. We will most likely need to be early so the elders don't complain." responded Oden as Adrian raised an eyebrow. He knew that there were 3 elders in the clan with the power to even overturn his father's decisions but he had only seen them at his birthday parties and he had never attended the clan's meetings before.

Just as he was thinking about it, a voice only he could hear was heard.

Ding! [Host has received a new Task. Accept Y/N]

He immediately thought Yes and then he heard the voice again.

Ding! [New Task: Attend the Clan Meeting as the Son of the Chief, Reward 3% Template Integration]

After seeing the task, he then said "Hey dad, how about I attend the clan meeting with you."

This seemingly caught both parents off guard but Kaya then said "Are you sure you wish to go? You have never been interested before"

"I just think it's about time I meet the rest of the clan." responded Adrian

Oden immediately started smiling and said "Well make sure you get a good night of rest since it'll be tomorrow morning."

The three then finished eating to rest and then went to their bedrooms to sleep.

Adrian was thinking about the meeting before he fell asleep.
