Chapter 15

"Leave her alone!"

The familiar voice boomed in front of them.

They looked at the person, Clyde clearly displeased. The beautiful red eyes of the person glowed in the reflection of the sun.

He had worn a canvas jacket and black jeans. His shoulder length red hair was flying in the air. He frowned, almost knotting his red eyebrows that matched the colour of his hair, lips and long red eyelashes. All the attention from earlier was drawn to the guy, who seemed like a model.

"Omg!!! He's soo hott!!!" some girls screamed, and someone was turning green with envy.

The nearby girls, probably, six or seven in number, were debating on who to approach the new guy. Some were scared since he seemed like a celebrity. His hair attracted attention, since it was not the normal redhead hair. It was burning red, like a red flame.

Mia was shocked to see him here without a his mask. "And who the hell are you?" Clyde cracked his knuckles, ready to start a fight.

"Uuh, Clyde, this is Xany, actually, I remember, he was supposed to be with me today, not Sunday, sorry...again," Mia escaped Clyde's car, and stood beside Xander, embarrassed.

'Awkward, Mia is not even looking at him, thought girlfriend and boyfriend should be smooching right now,' Clyde thought.

"Mia, come with me," he said, but Clyde interfered.

"So, Xander, you are her boyfriend? Never seen you before. I...actually didn't believe little munchkin, I mean Mia, I shall be leaving, thank you Mia, see you next Saturday," he said disappointedly, feeling hopeless.

Xander widened his eyes and looked at Mia after Clyde had left.

"Boyfriend? Xany?" he was so confused.

"Am sorry Xander, please if you will forgive me. I told that boy that I had a boyfriend named Xander, to get him to leave me alone," Mia apologized looking down

Xander: Why do you want him to leave you alone. Is he a threat?

Mia: No, I wanted to avoid him.

Xander: why?

Mia: He has a girlfriend. The girl would obviously hate if Clyde was spending time with me. Then they would break up and it would be my fault.

Xander: Mmh

Mia: Are you angry with me?

Xander: Am not because you saved us. Don't do that again. Use someone else's name not mine. Dramatic humans, tsk.

Mia wondered what he was, but he looked human apart from his extraordinary hair colour and eyes. People at the park were curious at the two, god and goddess, who looked like a couple. They were so beautiful.

"Am curious about you and the...you know what," Mia looked around hoping no one could overhear their conversation.

"That's why am here, I found out you'd be free today," he said. "Come let's find a place to seat." he was being gentle, as always. They found a place near under a tree, where no one was around, and they sat on the soft grass.

Their conversation began.

*Dialogue

Xander: My name is Xander, as you know, but from a different dimension, but am not human. I am a phoenix. (Mia widened her eyes, furrowing her brows) Our dimension is called Saki, with only phoenixes as men, the way you call them here, and sphinx as female.

Dimension earth, here, is where beings are powerless, the only dimension with no powerful beings. There are other dimensions, but Saki dimension is the one with Phoenixes and sphinxes, personally from my knowledge, the other dimensions are dangerous with other types of beings which I don't know of yet.Our Saki dimension is the most safest dimension of the universe, because queen mother nature protects dimension Earth. ( Mia sat with her shoulders hunched to her knees, listening keenly as if he was narrating a fairytale.)

Mia: Wait , if am not wrong, queen mother nature is the woman with green hair, eyes.. the one I met right?

Xander: You are correct, Mia, yes she is our mother. (Mia made a confused expression, and Xander sighed as if he was forced to be here) Queen Mother is not my mom, like the way you humans have parents, I call her mother because she is the mother of Phoenixes and sphinxes. (Mia nodded) Without Queen Mother, Earth and Saki would be in danger right now.

Mia: Do you think there are other dimensional creatures here on Earth?

Xander: No, there aren't, you see this.. (he pulled out a green glowing necklace from his canvas jacket. The necklace was around his neck) ..This green necklace is a permit for me to be here. Queen Mother makes them, but I am the first ever person from a different dimension to come here. This necklace restrains us from using our powers that may harm humans. For now, I don't have all my powers with me now because of the necklace, so am a mere human. Without the necklace, I can't survive more than 24 hours here, I will die. Earth is not a home for other beings like us. Nevertheless, humans are special in some way, they can enter any dimension and survive as long as they live. No one knows why.

Mia: Am...I..I..a..humm..human (she stuttered, scared for the response)

Xander: Yes you are, a Golden Saki is always a human being, but an extraordinary human being.

Mia: What do you mean by I as a Golden Saki.

Xander: You are the person born to save earth and die after that. (he said calmy, showing no emotion, the girl beside him, stood up in horror)

Mia: D..die.. (her voice came out as a whisper)

Xander: If you survive the Apocalypse, then good, but no Golden Saki has ever done that. For your information, you are the second ever Golden Saki to be born after over a billion years. You came unexpectedly, and we could smell a unique scent from the human world. The scent of a golden child, who will be our savior and at the same time a destructor.

Mia : W..what do you mean (Tears welled up in her eyes, and she started sobbing)

Xander: Listen, uugh, don't cry. What happened to the first Golden Saki doesn't mean will happen to you. Queen Mother, Earth's protector was not there when the first Golden Saki died, there is a possibility that won't happen to you. Queen Mother was a gift from nature to mark boundaries between different types of beings. The first Golden Saki died because he/she was a savior and the destroyer too. (Mia sat down after calming down) His/her powers became powerful at the age of 20, and then because of him, dimensional portals were weakened. The purpose of the Golden Saki is to destroy the dimensional portals for every being to interact and make peace, but that will never happen. Once the Golden Saki's powers are active, the portals shall weaken. Before they completely weaken, the Golden Saki was killed and everything went back to normal. Other dimensional creatures want you alive to take over earth, but....(he stared at her for a while) we Sakis want you dead to avoid destruction. Don't worry much, we have a plan, Queen Mother is plotting on how to save you and us all. She is powerful.

Mia: Who killed the first Golden Saki. (she said bravely, accepting her fate. She had a miserable life until she met Greta and Zane)

Xander: No one knows exactly, but it was the chosen Phoenix. No one can kill the Golden Saki except for the chosen one. Once the chosen one kills the Golden Saki, he dies too. They both die and become legends. Legends never die (He said staring at the sky)

Mia: So I can't die unless the chosen one kills me? (Xander nodded in return) How did I save the sceptor that day, if I don't have any powers.

Xander: Your powers are not yet active, if they become active, the portals weaken, and you can't save us, now that you have no powers yet, you strengthened the portals because your powers are a destruction. When the portals completely weaken, any being can survive on earth because of your powers.

Mia: Who is the chosen Phoenix to kill me?

Xander: Me
