My unexpected life in the Owl House

??? POV, late afternoon...

"Hey, blue hair!" I heard someone yelling behind me as I walked down the stairs in my high school after finishing a long tutoring session. 'Please don't tell me...' I thought with dread before turning around to see a familiar bulky person that I always dreaded seeing... Josh who was currently leaning against the wall.

'Blue hair?', That's what you're probably thinking about when you heard that right? Well that's what my bully thought too when he saw me like this for the first time.

My name's Chris and I'll be explaining what happened to make all of this come to be, one night when I was sleeping my little sister decided to make me into her test dummy for her first hair dyeing attempt... it was successful, and left me with light blue hair as well as a shit ton of annoyance. 

I was pretty calm at first despite waking up to find my hair like that, but when she explained it was because she didn't want to mess up her own hair before learning how to dye her hair properly I got angry to the point I chased her around the house waking up our parents.

... And then I got yelled at by my parents for scaring my sister, but she did something that messed up my school life completely!

The hair dye was apparently some kind of long-lasting type that wouldn't ever completely fade away which sucked since my bully, that one I mentioned before, Josh took notice of it. Which led to more ridicule over it, though with Josh being more brain than brawn he could only come up with an insult that a elementary schooler would use.

But what really started this was last week when our science teacher Mr.Fitzgerald sent him to detention which I internally celebrated about by the way but Josh wasn't too happy about it himself since it pulled time away from his practice and it only gets worse for him since he hadn't been doing the assignments for Mr.Fitzgerald's class he lost his eligibility to play football which pissed Josh off even more.

Then there was me, the guy he bullied that he sat right next to in this class who did not have the muscle mass to fight him, so when he threatened to beat me to a pulp or go along with his request to copy a key he stole, I chose to not be potentially hurt and copied the key.

Which brings us back to this moment...

"H-Hi Josh, um do you need something?" I said sheepishly as he smirked at me like some kind of stereotypical bully.

"Yeah, I need something, that something you promised me yesterday, the copy of the keys to the school's back doors, do you got'em?" Josh said holding out his hand as I hesitated for a second before pulling out a key that I made.

"Here you go Josh now can I leave?" I asked feeling eager to get out of Josh's general area. "Nah, you know we have these so you're in on what we're about to do," Josh said as he put a large arm around my shoulders. 

"A-and what would that be?" I looked up at him with the same sheepish smile. "You're going to help us set up a 'prank' for Mr. Fitzgerald in our science class!" He said, his smirk turning into a grin.

"C-come on you can't be serious, Mr.Fitzgerald stays late every day, how are you going to do that?" I said trying to back away. 

I felt anxious not wanting to get caught even talking about this since I could get into serious trouble for copying that key much less doing something to mess with a teacher that was already extremely strict with his class.

"Well Blue hair that's where you come in, you'll sneak into his room later and drop this in his desk." Josh handed me a lighter making me freeze.

"No, no way am I doing this!" I raised my voice looking up to Josh. "Doing some weird harmless thing like maybe messing up the desks or writing something on the board but I am not planting a lighter in a teacher's desk, that could get him in a lot of trouble and us in even more"

I stepped away trying to leave as I dropped the lighter but I felt a hand grab my arm before I turned to see an annoyed-looking Josh.

"What's the matter, not feeling motivated enough? Well how about I use a more 'convincing' way to get your help?" He threatened making my blood boil as my eyes narrowed.

'Why does this guy think he can do whatever he wants? Always picking on me while no one's around to see, well I'm not listening to him today!' I thought as my grip tightened.

Josh gripped onto me tighter as I tried to pull away. "I'm not doing this, fuck you Josh!" I said pulling more and more as I repositioned my foot to wind up for a swing to Josh's face but before I could I felt a huge rumble and a sudden lack of ground to place my foot on.

"Shit!" I yelled trying regain my balance only to feel the momentum of my push send me backwards towards what seemed to be a crevice that just appeared out of nowhere...

...As I fell into a newly formed crevice all I saw was a shocked Josh and the only thing I could think was, 'Why couldn't I have at least hit him once?'...
