10 I Belong To You

"Percy, do I even have the right to feel something towards you?" She asked.

Percy frowned and couldn't believe what she had asked him.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

Sophie struggled and moved away from him again.

"This is just temporary. I am a substitute for my sister. Once she wakes up, you will be hers."

Percy's expression became dark again. He didn't expect that she was still thinking of her sister.

"Are you going to give me up just like that? Didn't I tell you that I don't like your sister? Can you just tell me what you feel about me?"

Sophie bit her lips and stared into his eyes.

"The first time I met you, I didn't know you were Selene's betrothed. I was happy that for the first time in my life, there was someone who didn't look at me with disgust. You said my eyes were pretty. But then, I found out you belong to my sister. Did you know what I told myself? I wished Selene to disappear so you could be mine. I'm selfish Percy. I stole you from her. I always felt guilty, knowing that my wish came true. I didn't ask Selene to get into an accident, it just happened. But even though I felt like this, I couldn't stop myself from loving you." Then tears started falling from her eyes.

"I love you. I've been loving you for so long, but I couldn't even tell you because I was scared. I felt like it was wrong of me to love you. I was happy when you became my fiance, but sometimes I wondered if it was okay for me to be happy while my sister was lying in bed unconscious."

Percy didn't say a word and rushed towards her again. She didn't step back this time and let him wiped the tears on her face.

"Sophie, I would never let anyone control me again. You are the only one for me. No one else. Please don't think about anyone else anymore and think about yourself. You didn't steal anything or anyone from Selene. It was all yours from the beginning. I was never hers. Sophie, I belong to you. How about you?" Percy said in a gentle voice.

Sophie bit her lips and stared into Percy's face. She really loved this man from the bottom of her heart. Her sister might wake up someday, and would reclaim what was hers, but Sophie decided that she would never give up the man she loved.

"I am yours. I don't care about anything else. I don't mind what other people call me. As long as you are with me, I would gladly accept the consequences of my own feelings." She answered.

Percy felt so happy hearing those words from her. For a long time, he wanted to tell her how much he loved her. But he felt like it wasn't the right time, so he just showed his love through his actions.

Sophie smiled at him, but still there were tears in her eyes. Percy leaned forward, gently kissing her on the side of her eye, savoring the salty taste of her tears. Then he moved his lips to her forehead, giving her a soft kiss.

He smiled back at her. Her eyes were sparkling from her overflowing emotions, a mixture of happiness and love.

"I always love looking into your eyes. They were calm like the ocean and the fresh shade of spring. I love you, Sophie." He murmured.

"I love you, too. And thank you for loving me." She answered.

They quietly stared at each other for a few minutes. Percy couldn't move an inch because he suddenly felt nervous, while Sophie was waiting for his next move.\

"Sophie, can I kiss you again?" He asked.

Sophie blushed. "Why do you have to ask permission every time you want to kiss me? It's embarrassing."

"You've been my fiance for five years. You're my first kiss, and definitely would be the only one until I die. I don't have any experience with this kind of stuff, so I'm not confident enough if you would like it or not." He answered while scratching his head.

She giggled. She didn't know that he felt that way.

"I-I'm okay, if it's you. I-I was happy when you kissed me earlier." She confessed.

Percy had a wide smile on his face. He tilted her chin to level his, then slowly moved his face closer to her.

Sophie closed her eyes when he was just an inch away from her. She felt his lips pressed against hers. It was like the kiss they shared earlier, but Sophie's heart started beating so fast when Percy grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to him.

She felt his lips move, and his tongue was brushing on her lip. She didn't know why she voluntarily parted her lips, and began copying what he was doing. Percy slid his tongue inside her mouth, exploring and tasting the sweetness of it.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and responded to his kisses. When he held her tighter, Sophie felt something poking her between her thighs. Percy wanted more, but he felt that it was too early for them to do it. He wasn't also sure if Sophie wanted it so he tried his best to control himself.

He leaned his forehead against hers after sharing an intimate kiss. They were both panting, and Sophie could feel the warmth of Percy's breath brushing through her face.

Percy took a deep breath and kissed her again on the forehead.

"Percy, y-you're h-"

"Yeah, I'm hard. Sorry. I want more of you, but I don't want to force anything on you. I will wait until you're ready." He answered.

"Thank you." She nodded, putting her head against his chest.

"I could hear your heartbeat. It's loud and fast." She murmured.

"Yes. Because I'm with you. My heart only beats for you." He whispered.
