My New Life As A Pokémon Trainer (Rewrite)

Life is full of strange and wondrous things like miracles, wishes, and dreams. Those kinds of things can happen to any random person or someone we least expected. For an ordinary girl like me; not many wondrous things happen to me. However something strange did happen to me. Let me tell you from the very beginning if you want to understand the story.

My name is Isabel Smith. I'm 14 years old. I live in Seattle where it rains some of the time. During those rainy days, I would be on my laptop writing fanfic stories. I was pretty famous on my Wattpad account. But in real life: not so much. You see, most of my family revolves around my older sister, Mary. Well, she's very beautiful, smart, athletic, a fine figure, and very popular in her high school. In other words, she was the perfect child. Compared to me, I had ordinary looks and wore glasses most of the time and never really wore makeup, skirts, or high heels. However, I was very smart and mostly athletic as well. I never made any friends because I knew that they wanted to become close to me because of my sister. But I knew how to be kind to my neighbors or anyone who needed a helping hand. The only people who truly loved me were my grandparents. They had suffered the same thing when they were my age with their older siblings.

Truth be told, I was somewhat jealous of my older sister. I felt invisible to my family. My mom always took her shopping while my grandma would offer to take me shopping with her. Even my dad would drive my sister to school and not me. My grandpa would take me instead, which I didn't mind. To put it personally, my grandparents partly raised me while my parents were so focused on my sister.

My favorite thing to do most of the time is playing Pokémon GO. I've been a fan of Pokémon ever since I was little. I've watched all of the seasons of it. However I wasn't really satisfied with it. Truth be told, I did participate in Pokémon card tournaments when it came to Pokémon. But I never invited anyone except my grandparents.

So enough about my personal life. Let me tell you about what led to an ordinary event that changed my life. Forever.

My day started like any other day: waking up and getting ready for school. Once I was fully ready, I went downstairs and had breakfast which was toast with peanut butter on it. After that was done, I made sure that I cleaned up after myself and that I had everything before leaving. Then I head down the driveway to wait for my grandpa to arrive. I only waited about five minutes when grandpa came to the end of the driveway to pick me up. Then I went to school. From eight to three, I attended all of my classes. Nothing interesting going on except my English and History class and Gym.

Then it was the end of the day and I was waiting for my grandpa to pick me up. I soon heard the sound of a car coming towards me. At first I thought it was my grandpa...but I was wrong. It turned out to be a reckless driver who was texting while driving. Before I could even blink, the car rammed into me, sending me flying. My body landed on the pavement with a thud. I couldn't move or even talk as I laid there with excruciating pain. All I could do was stare ahead while hearing muffled sounds and voices around me.

I was lifted off the ground and put onto a stretcher with an oxygen mask over my nose and mouth. My eyes just stared at the ceiling of the ambulance and they slowly shut and my world was casted into darkness.

The next thing I know is that something bright was beaming on me and that I was being wrapped into something soft and warm. I slowly opened my eyes to see a woman smiling down at me. I felt like I recognized her from somewhere, but where?

"Congratulations, Miss Ketchum, you have a beautiful baby girl." Another female voice said, "What should her name be?"

"Ashlyn. Ashlyn Ketchum." 'Miss Ketchum' replied.

I looked at the woman again and finally put the pieces together; the woman smiling down at me is Delia Ketchum!

That's when I finally realized: I was reborn as the female version of Ash Ketchum from Pokémon!
