Leo walked into the courtroom with immense confidence. As soon as he stepped into the room he became the center of attention.
Buzz!
Leo frowned while tightening his grip on his suitcase as he was bombarded with killing intent radiating from numerous sources.
"This"
Even Leo couldn't help but frown at this. He had assumed the issue with the gang would die down since it was already well known that he had accumulated enough evidence so he had no reason to get involved anymore.
Yet, it seems that is not the case.
Leo looked straight ahead and his eyes met with that of Tyler Hudson. It was a young man in his late twenties at worst, his hair cut low and bright sky-blue eyes.
In terms of appearance, Tyler looked amazing for someone who didn't have the system but right now he was completely inferior to Leo.
The man glared at Leo like a ferocious beast about to swallow him whole. He made no attempts to hide his hostility, causing Leo to frown.
This person is dangerous.
"And he has dangerous friends" Leo mumbled with a deep frown.
Unlike Tyler who was refined and rash, the members of this gang seemed to be far more capable and unusual.
Leo could feel the killing intent directed at him from the spectators but he couldn't pinpoint who and what was terrifying was that it wasn't one person this time.
It was two!
Whoever was sent to monitor him must be skilled hitmen who have bathed in the blood of their enemies.
At this moment, Leo mentally swore to destroy Tyler. To him, the case got personal when a hitman was sent to take his life.
He strode into the court with cruelty in his eyes. This is one case in which Leo had no intention of losing.
The case began with Leo boldly declaring that Mr. Lyson didn't kill Jimmy and blamed Tyler on the spot. His direct and fierce approach threw many off balance and the courtroom got heated just as soon as the session began.
To back up his claims Leo began presenting evidence in the form of an autopsy result stating that the deceased had been drugged before his death which was an allergic reaction that ultimately resulted in Jimmy's death.
In defense, Tyler's defense team claimed that even if this is true, then what evidence is there to prove that Mr. Lyson may not have been the one who drugged Jimmy?
This would scare anyone but Leo came prepared.
He quickly brought in more pieces of evidence in the form of audio recordings of the testimonies belonging to the bartender and the staff he had spoken to.
He presented evidence claiming Tyler had sent a Hitman his way to prevent further investigation and also showed that the staff was among Tyler's targets.
The court listened to the audio recordings and was left dumbstruck. They looked at Tyler as if he was some sort of monster but it didn't end there.
Leo soon brought in the bartender and Staff to testify after which he called Tyler to take the stand.
As soon as Tyler took the stand Leo used the charm skill and began questioning Tyler. Strangely Tyler responded honestly and began confessing to his crimes. He answered the questions as he was asked, making everyone realize what had transpired amongst the three friends.
It turns out that Tyler had drugged Jimmy in hopes of getting rival company secrets from him. Even though he meant no harm initially, things spiraled out of his control which led to Jimmy's death. In a bid to save his skin, he pushed the blame on Lyson when what actually killed Jimmy was the drug that triggered some sort of allergy.
With this the case was wrapped up in an instant, leaving the world stunned.
This is the first time such a high-profile case is dealt with in a day. The opposing side had no way to resist Leo's fierce attacks and ended up losing badly.
They called this a miracle case and Leo had become the miracle Junior associate of the White Associate Law firm. A man who has won the past two cases in one sitting.

Thud!
Everyone was still celebrating when Leo left the courtroom without informing anyone. He couldn't help but remember the killing intent directed at him, the moment he stepped into the room.
Outside the fact, it proves that more attempts will be made to take his life. The fact he couldn't spot the ones planning to take his life left him uncomfortable. These sets of people are far more skilled than the previous and he wasn't sure how prepared they were.
Leo left because he knew if he waited any longer he would get invited to the celebratory party. With such dangerous men lingering around, staying in a public place will only put others in danger.
He walked out of the court and quickly entered his car. Just before Leo could drive off, he got a call.
"Mr. Lyson?" Leo muttered with a confused look on his face.
He seemed reluctant to pick up the call but since it was from his client he was obligated to pick.
"Yes?" Leo's response was mechanical.
"Holla! Where are you, man? You did really well today, everyone is excited but you are already gone?" Mr Lyson laughed loudly but Leo wasn't in the mood to joke.
"I apologize but I have something I need to deal with at the moment. Everyone will have to party without me" Leo said dryly.
"No! There can be no party without the guest of honor! You have to be there or it will be incomplete" Mr Lyson urged, making Leo frown.
He wished he could walk over there and knock this man out. This case is the reason he is in danger yet he seems to be unaware of the situation.
It seems Lyson doesn't know what kind of person Tyler is.
"Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately, I will have to decline. What I need to deal with is of utmost importance. Every other thing will have to carry on without me" Leo said in a mechanical tone only to receive a brief silence in response.
Lyson seemed to have noticed whatever Leo needed to deal with was quite important so he didn't push anymore. He and Leo exchanged pleasantries before the call was terminated.
Buzzz!
Just at that moment, Leo felt his body shudder involuntarily as a familiar killing intent was pointed in his direction. He looked more at the direction of the courthouse and frowned.
The hitmen hired by Tyler must have noticed his absence. They are really searching for him!
Vroooom!
Leo quickly stepped on the pedal as his car sped away without hesitation. Things have truly gotten more dangerous!
