Zawa Arts

I opened my eyes to see not the normal rocky cave but a stick ceiling with hay. I sit up to see Bardock sitting on the dirt floor, fidgeting and sweating profusely.

"Yo, Bardock are you ok?" I asked kind of concerned trying to see Bardock's face but his head was down.

Bardock looked up to see a kid with light yellow skin, two strands of hair covering his cheeks with somewhat long hair in the back, green eyes, a black shirt under a chest plate of armor with a hole in it. When Bardock saw Sato alive and well, Bardock couldn't help the tears from falling. Bardock rushed over and hugged Sato, then punched him in the stomach.

"What happened? Why did you hit me" I said in between coughs trying to figure out why Bardock was for one hugging me, and for two crying like a baby.

Bardock then broke the hug, turned around, and wiped his tears. When he turned around he had a worried and serious expression.

"When that man came that night, he shot a ki blast through your chest. We thought you were fine because it didn't hit your heart or anything fatal. But then when I went to pick you up to go back to the cave, you didn't have a pulse and I couldn't feel any energy from you" Bardock said sounding relieved thought I was awake.

'So did I die? Does that mean I'm immortal? or was it something else supplying me ki that Bardock couldn't sense'. "I told you after I go to sleep ill be good as new, now let's train," I said in excitement, we couldn't afford to be wasting time.

'I really need to get stronger. I pass out from using too much ki and pass out from taking one 'fatal' attack, like this I will be after to attempt to defeat Frieza' I thought walking out behind Bardock into a village will a few dozen huts.

"Bardock where are we?" I asked looking around to see women, children, and men walking around casually.

"When you kind of died, I don't know anything thing about medic treatment so Hymn brought you here to be treated and now we are leaving," Bardock said with a bit of urgency.

"Is Hymn that person who attacked me? And why didn't you help? You saw that I was struggling, BAD" I asked Bardock angry and confused.

Bardock did say anything, he just kept walking. I vanish in front of him while meeting eye level.

"When you passed out the day I was teaching you that move, we met then and he wants us to join them here," Bardock said sighing.

"Why not? we would have more food, shelter, and more training. You're declining an offer that gives us nothing but benefits" I said descending.

Bardock went silent it was like he was rethinking the situation. Finally, he sighed then agreed to stay here. Out of thin air, a man appears in front of us with an excited look on his face.

"You will?" The man said with a big smile.

"Yes," Bardock said.

"You must be Hymn, am I correct?" I asked in an interested tone looking up at the man.

"Yes am I, you put up a good fight you managed to land a hit on me," The man said crouching down to me.

"You have so much untapped potential, let me train you, learn the Kawa Arts" Hymn said sounding excited with hope and life in his eyes.

I nod my head and Hymn's eyes light up with even more life than before. We start walking, and we end up in a small field. Hymn and I walk into the middle, standing on opposite sides of each other.

"Let's start with a spar for you to get a taste of the Kawa Arts" Hymn said getting into a stance.

His stance was different, he didn't put up any type of defense. He took a deep breath when he opened his eyes, his eyes seemed to show a slight glow. I dash toward him with immense speeds, I throw a punch toward his face, then it seemed like Hymn disappeared but he ducked so fast my eyes couldn't follow. It was almost in slow motion, he looked up and smirk, my face went sour.

'This uppercut from the ground up is going to be hell' I thought trying to force my body to dodge.

Hymn threw an uppercut but as fast as it was I managed to put up my arm to form an x shape. The force behind his punch left bad bruises on my forearms and sent me airborne. When I opened my eyes, Hymn was nowhere to be seen. I look around my surroundings and still can't see him so I try and sense his ki, but it wasn't detectable. Trying to find Hymn, I let my guard down and I received a push to my ribs which sent me flying a few meters.

I put my guard down then started to expand my ki, so anything that came within of my aura would send me a signal. The first few times, I was alerted but wasn't fast enough to dodge or block. Then after a couple of times, I felt as if I started to adapt to Hymn's speed. I concluded that Hymn was moving faster than I could see him, thus being able to attack carelessly.

I was alerted that Hymn was attacking but this time, I felt as if I knew where he was going to attack, thus moving in the opposite direction then throwing a fast punch in the area of my signal. I felt my hand slightly brush across the skin on his face.

"Well done," Hymn said coming out of hiding.

I stopped my ki expansion then descended to the ground.

"You have exceeded my expectations, now I will teach you the Zawa Arts and teach you a few skills" Hymn said with a pleased look on his face.

After a 10 minute break, Hymn began to show me the basics of the Zawa Arts. Simple techniques such as punches and kicks. After a few hours of continuous punches and kicks on a tree, I finally received the messages I had been anticipating.

'Why are the skills all question marks? Maybe because I haven't learned them yet' I thought to myself continuing to punch and kick a damaged tree.

'When did I get an S cell? and how did I get it? From what I know a Saiyan needs at least 7 to turn into a Super Saiyan. I need to find out how to get more and fast' I thought before behind interrupted by Bardock.

"Don't think just because your training with Hymn doesn't mean you won't be training with me either" Bardock said proceeding to crack everybody in his power while raising his power.

"Heh, sounds like someones jealous to me," I said tired but looking for a fight.

Bardock smirk dashing toward me, I power up to full power dashing toward him. Clashing together creates a shockwave on impact. Vanishing in and out of sight fishing in the air making shockwaves while fighting, Tired and weaker than Bardock, I was basically a punching bag for Bardock. Fighting for 45 minutes straight, I landed some big hits on Bardock while Bardock landed even bigger hits.

Breathing heavy, bleeding from our arms, head, and mouth we run at each other preparing the finishing blow. I focus my ki on the smallest amount into my arm creating a dark blue color around my arm. Bardock sees this and does the same, but the color of his arm is a light blue almost like blue flames.

We meet in the middle, punching at each other in unison. The force of our punches creates a barrier between us, forcing us to struggle and overpower the other. But after 30 seconds of struggling, I started to lose my ki, and I started to be pushed back.

Bardock seeing he had the upper hand used the rest of his ki to try and break the barrier and deliver the finishing blow. I start grunting and my muscles start to get bigger, my eyes turn a bright yellow, then my dark blue ki starts to be engulfed into a black aura.

I transform into my Ikari mode and this aura surrounds my arm making me stronger than ever, more than enough to overpower Bardock. I set my feet into the ground, using my whole body, my legs, arms, chest, back, and torso all tense up and form into bulging muscles.

I let out a roar, overpowering Bardock and hitting him in the face, knocking him out but without leaving a nasty bruise. I start to celebrate than a scene I'm too familiar with occurs. My body goes limp, and my vision goes black.

A man walks from behind the trees, who was watching everything. It was Hymn.

"This kid surprises me more and more. He will be a strong fighter, no doubt" Hymn said picking up Bardock and Sato flying them to their hut.

"Be ready for tomorrow Sato, it won't be as easy as today" Hymn said sounding serious but playful as he walked out of their hut.
