My Harem Dungeon

"uhh, where am I?" I said as I looked around in the infinitely white room.

"I apologize, as a representative of the god council-" said a young yet naked lady, strangely enough, there was a fog covering her important parts-

"huh? what?"

"well, you see, when you died- our god was passing through worlds, your soul just happened to fall into the ripple between space and time created by the God when he was traveling. When he detected your soul he took pity on you and decided to give you another chance at life."

Oh, yeah, I got smashed by a truck. "wait, so I died and my soul fell into a ripple?"

"yes, and now that your soul has fallen into another world, our God has asked the gods of this world to accommodate an extra soul, which would be you, so you will now reincarnate as a dungeon master, with all permissions unlocked to the dungeon system. the council of gods wishes you luck-" as soon as she finished I started falling down, I couldn't see anything other than bright white light.

When my vision finally cleared up and my sense of weight and balance came back I found myself lying on hard rock, I looked around only to find that I was in a dimly lit cave with a huge black pedestal in the center. the light in the cave seemed to be coming from its walls. there was only a single exit. the black pedestal had a white orb the size of my hand floating on top of it. I curiously went towards it, wondering what was making it float.

Superconductivity? laminar flow? a magnetic field. none of them seemed to be true, there was no airflow, and the orb was hard in its place it wasn't budging at all, almost like it was fixed in the air with nails. even with a magnetic field, it should at least budge a little.

As I got even more curious I placed my hand on the pedestal and that when everything started glowing in the cave, the walls lit up like it was daylight. the orb glowed too, and then a voice rang directly in my head-

{ MASTER: FELIX NOLTAN }

{ SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED }

Then in front of my eyes, a blue see-through display popped up.

[ DUNGEON SYSTEM ]

[ ACCESS LEVEL : MAX ]

[ USER : EXTRA SOUL, FELIX NOLTAN ]

"huh, what is this?" I said as I tried putting my hand through the display, but it seemed the display was just visible in my eyes, it wasn't actually projected outside.

"no seriously what is this? at least lemme know what you are gonna assimilate??"

A separate window popped up in my vision.

And in the corner in the very small letter, it was written [ 1% CHANCE OF GOING INSANE ]

"well, aren't you something like a scammer company-"

I took a deep breath "alright, fine let's do it, it's not like I have another choice, going into another world without any knowledge might just be suicide-"

"yes, Y."

[ ASSIMILATION ACCEPTED. ]

Instantly I had my mind in disarray- everything looked twisty and blurry, I couldn't really process anything which was going on- I probably fell, I lost all of my senses. but when I opened my eyes again I knew a lot about this unfamiliar world.

All that basic knowledge could be summed up into these facts-

Dungeons are an important part for humans, they not only provide humans with treasures but they also make people stronger, a status is provided to everyone by the goddess of statuses of this world, and as expected the status shows the level of a person and that level can be increased by killing monsters in a dungeon, the higher your level the stronger you get. there are many different races in this world too, but the most hated race is obviously the demon race, the demon race acts as the protectors of dungeons, they protect dungeons and in turn, the dungeon provides them with their special mana and a home to live for. dungeons exist due to dungeon core, the orb on the black pedestal, races other than demons tend to destroy that core to gain immense amounts of exp to level up.

while apparently most demons are born and raised like any other human, once they reach the age of 18 they have to leave the dungeon they grew in and find a new dungeon they can call home and raise a family in. demons have a high affinity for mana and are very strong physically too, they just have pretty low fertility rates compared to their lifespan of 200 years on average.

the humans are like humans, mediocre in both physical and magical aspects, they also live only a 100 years.

The elves, however, have a very very high affinity to mana and spirits, but they are pretty weak physically, yet they have an average lifespan of 1000 years, they don't like to really mingle with other races and tend to live in isolated areas.

The beastmen, have a low affinity to mana, but they are very strong physically they also have an average life span of 200 years.

The spirits are beings that have no definite fertility rate nor life span, some people say spirits live indefinitely till the time their physical vassal lives. they don't have mana, but they can amplify mana.

There are also many other races like dwarves and dragons too-

And apparently, dungeon masters don't qualify as a race, they are immortal beings similar to spirits whose life is bound to a physical object, in my case that's the orb, if that gets destroyed the dungeon will collapse and I will die.

Suddenly a red screen popped into my vision

[ ALERT: INTRUDER DETECTED!!! ]

wait, what!? I don't even know how to fight- how am I supposed to protect my dungeon core???
