Chapter 2

All eyes are set on the handsome Chief Surgeon in front of them. They are all mesmerize with what they are seeing. All ears are listening to what John is saying. Alexa can't believe that after all those years, the man she's been dreaming all night is in front of her now. All she can do is to look at him.

"Ouch!" Alexa said looking at Myra. "You have a lot explaining to do." Myra whisper to Alexa and the latter sighed deeply.

"Okay, that's all for now. Hope we can help each other so that our hospital will have more patients in the coming days." John said and all of them clap their hands.

"There is a small feast at the canteen so all of you can come and eat there." Doctora Venice said. Everyone get up and go outside of the room but before Alexa can reach the door, Dra. Venice call her name.

"Alexa, please stay behind because we will be talking about something." Dra. Venice said. Alexa wanted for Myra to accompany her so she didn't let go of her hand. John saw what she was doing.

"Alex, I will not bite you." John said with a smile in his face. Myra let loose of her hand and push Alexa towards the seat in front of John.

"Alexa, since Doctor John here is new in our hospital, he requested that you'll be her executive secretary. He told us that you were classmates during college so he knew you personally." Doctora Venice said.

"But Doctora Venice we are currently under staff in the laboratory so I think I can't be the secretary of Doctor Graciano. I think you can choose between the secretaries of Doctor Mendoza or Doctor Santos because their schedules are not loaded." Alexa said. She wanted to tell, "I don't want to be with that jerk!" but keep it in her mind.

"We talked about it a while ago with the heads of the different department and they said they will arrange the schedules of the staffs and will hire another medical technologist in place of you." Doctora Venice said.

That's the answer she wanted to know when Bella winked at her a while ago. She could not believe that her friend gave that idea to the jerk in front of her. All she can do now is to take the secretarial position because all are taken care of before she can think of ways to reject.

John just smiled and be glad of his victory.

"So for now let's enjoy the food, later you can introduce him to the different department so he can be particular with all the staffs. Later on we will have a meeting with the other doctors for his introduction." Doctora Venice said while looking at Alexa. All she can do is nod but deep inside her she wanted to kick John's butt for he is looking at her with his sweet smile.

Most of the staffs were done eating. Myra and Bella are waiting for Alexa because they wanted to know everything. Alexa saw the teasing eyes of her friends but she look at them with sharp eyes.

"Are you done eating?" John ask them.

"Yes Doc!" Bella and Myra answered.

"Alex, lets eat." John said while pulling the chair for her.

"Alex?" Both Bella and Myra are looking at her asking for explanation through their eyes and John saw that.

"I'm just the only one calling her Alex." John said that made Bella and Myra look at Alexa with an "OH" on their faces.

Alexa felt that her face became red because of Myra and Bella's teasing looks.

After finishing the food on her plate, she stands up and ready herself to leave but John speak.

"Alex, don't forget you will accompany me in the different departments and will join our meeting with the doctors."

"Yes boss! I will only say something to my friends for a moment." Alexa said with a sarcastic smile on her face.

"Okay, five minutes." John said that made Alexa arched her brow.

"Ten minutes." Alexa said.

"Five minutes. Take it or leave it." John said that made Alexa rolled her eyes.

"Fine!" Alexa said and John smirked.

Bella and Myra rush to Alexa's side when she started to walk out of the canteen. They wanted to know everything that happened between their new Chief Surgeon and their friend.
