"But he still looks as relaxed as ever though…"

Nobody knew who point it out, but he or she was right, everybody's focus returned to Ace, who was standing there as nonchalantly as ever. It was as if that this whole scenario doesn't matter to him at all; like he wasn't even part of all this.

This was absurd! How could he be so calm after the villain's close to victory speech!? According to the records, shouldn't he be panicking now that he fell for the enemy's scheme? Or shouldn't he bring out the trump card that shows that it wasn't he who was trapped but the enemy?

Whatever it was, he shouldn't be this calm!

That's cheating!

Seeing him like that, many panicking disciples unknowingly calmed down as well.

"Hahahaha! To think you will act this carefree in this situation! Ace Vorste, I underestimated your guts! But no worries, I will enjoy breaking that will of you-"

As the man was about to carry on, Ace called him out.

Now with all the attention on him, Ace questioned.

"You don't really think you can defeat me with just them, right?"

From his looks, he looked genuinely confused right now, well, not only him, even Sect Master Kalm and some other high-ranking Elders had the same question in their mind.

Though not defined, it was pretty much clear that Elder Ace's strength was comparable to the five Strongest Sect Leaders of the Espade city. And since they were given the title of 'the strongest', there must actually be a reason behind it, right? For someone with strength like theirs, it would not be that difficult to defeat these 60 men, it would be troubling yes, but not difficult.

Even if it was false, and Elder Ace's strength was a bit lacking compared to them, they weren't here for show either. If Elder Ace could take around 40 of them, the other 20 won't be a problem. So how were they so confident? Did they have another trick up their sleeves?

Thinking up to here, Sect Leader Kalm's eyes widened in fright as he thought of a possibility. This time, he was actually frightened, this fight will become hopeless if the enemy had done what he was thinking, the more he thought, the more he felt like his hypothesis might be right. Nobody knew who cast it, but a fire spell hit Sect Leader Kalm from behind, causing him to fall on the ground.

Seeing that the Sect Master was taken care of by another masked man, the head masked man sighed and turned towards Ace, seeing him standing there, confused, he inwardly smirked.

'Ha! No matter how strong you are! You are still too young! Too naïve to think that the enemy will attack you directly! Ha!

But still, what's taking them so long? I don't think I can hold on for long…'

With that, Sect Leader Kalm was sure. He was sure that he, his sect, and even Elder Ace, has fallen into a trap! A vicious and deadly trap! Despair took over him and soon, Sect leader Kalm's eyes started looking lifeless and then, Ace spoke.

"What the hell are you guys doing? If you are that confident in attacking and defeating me, why aren't you attacking already?"

Hearing that, the masked man gulped but soon, he started laughing.

"Hahahaha! Isn't it obvious, I want you, the Great Ace Vorste, to get on his kne-"

"Are you perhaps… buying time?" Ace mumbled in an unsure tone and the masked man panicked.

"Haa! What the hel-"

"But if you are… then for what? You shouldn't be having more reinforcements coming… Are you preparing something? Like hiding a few explosives here and there… or…"

The more Ace spoke, the more the masked man panicked he wanted to retort but wasn't given a chance since Ace continued.

"Or maybe… you are planning to kidnap someone to blackmail Mr. Kalm, no but that wouldn't really help you since he is too weak… so… you must be planning too...

Blackmail me?"

He questioned as he turned towards the masked man.

'Wh-What a monster… what young or naïve!? He is too shrewd! Even more than master! I can't delay it any longer! What are those guys doing!!'

Thinking that he looked up, only to find a dark sky with a bright moon surrounded by stars.

"Why are you looking up? For some signals?

Oh wait, That's it!"

Suddenly, Ace exclaimed. As everyone turned to him, he continued.

"Those six guys! The ones who were hiding around my house! They must be your companions!" Ace exclaimed joyfully and hearing that the masked man's eyes widened.

'Around your house!? Around!? They should be 2 km far! How in the fuck is that around!'

Seeing him panicking, Ace's smile started disappearing slowly and he stated.

"Were you hoping that those weaklings would abduct my wife or my daughter so you can threaten me?

Them? Those weaklings? They didn't even know how to hide, well, sure, one was a little good at it, but those idiots were hiding in a group so that didn't help.

As he ended, Ace's eyes were already cold. That pair of cold, vicious, and emotionless golden eyes pierced through masked man, or, Elder Payn's soul as his eyes widened in fright and his body felt numb.

"So, is it only you, or is the whole Vicious Snake Sect is included in this?" Ace questioned.

The more words he spoke, the pressure assaulting Elder Payn increased, and just as he was about to deny, Ace continued.
