Despite the scorching heat of the July sun, a chilly atmosphere enveloped the inside of an inconspicuous car parked a few meters away from the entrance of Haohua, the most luxurious restaurant in City A.
The countenance of the person seated on the driver’s seat turned frostier as the third hand of the clock ticked by at a constant rhythm with each passing second.
A sultry day it was. But the sweltering weather proved to be of no help to cool Lu Xi's head and ease her annoyance. Oh! It should be Wang Rouxi now.
‘Why would the Headquarters task me to take over as the CEO of Wang Empire Estates?’ Wang Rouxi thought while she flipped through the pages of the mission report she had read for the seventh time in the past half an hour.

“Ha!” Wang Rouxi laughed, then she said with a voice full of sarcasm,“They want me to pose as myself? Who were they kidding!?”

A frown made its way on her flawless face as she kept the file in the glove compartment. She had been here for half an hour.
At this moment, Wang Rouxi could see a valet walking towards her car.
Li Wei, a valet working at Haohua for slightly over a year now, examined the unidentified car from a distance. His superior told him to keep an eye on it while he tended to their other valued customers.
However, even after half an hour had passed, there’s still no movement from the car. He could only go over and ask them personally about their business here.
Keys clinking in his pocket as he traipsed over towards the car, Li Wei wiped the sweat off his forehead and smoothed out the wrinkles on his uniform before he lightly knocked on the car’s window.
Through the heavily tinted windows, he could see the faint outline of a woman on the driver’s side, and so he addressed her as such, “Hello, Ma’am!”
Inside the car, Wang Rouxi sighed as she rolled down the window. Her new secretary would never hear the end of it once she meets him today.
Who would even set the time for a meeting and be half an hour late?!

Flashing a smile towards the valet, her gaze briefly shifted to the nameplate on his uniform, and she greeted him back. “Hello to you too, Li Wei!”
The smile on Li Wei’s face froze when he saw the countenance of the person sitting in the driver’s seat.
Not only was the driver a woman, but she also possessed an otherworldly beauty!
This woman was simply a goddess!
But what was she doing working as a driver?! With her beauty alone, she could just enter the entertainment industry and beat all those fake barbies in one fell swoop.
It was really a pity.
To think that an ethereal beauty would be reduced to such an extent as to serve as a driver for some lucky bastard. This was truly lamentable!

Li Wei shook his head to clear his mind of those miscellaneous thoughts, and he gave Wang Rouxi an apologetic smile. “My superior wanted to know if you are waiting for someone. We noticed that you’ve been here for more than half an hour. Maybe we can check on them for you?”

“Yes, please!” She immediately agreed. “Kindly tell Mr. Sun Yiqi that someone is waiting for him.”
“Okay, Ma’am! I will relay your message. Have a great day!” Li Wei quickly left after he said that.
The poor valet could feel his heart thumping wildly against his chest. His neck and ears had turned beet red. If he stayed any longer, he was sure that he would only embarrass himself in front of the beautiful woman inside the car.
Wang Rouxi watched as Li Wei’s back disappeared in the distance. A wry smile made its way on her face.
This was the reason she opted to stay in the car instead of going inside the restaurant to look for her secretary.
Now, she just had to wait. Again.
However, some time had already passed, and yet Secretary Sun was still nowhere to be found. Even Li Wei didn’t come back.
