Africa is the birthplace of humanity, where ancient Egypt gave birth to the first religion, culture, architecture, education, mathematics, and much more. Up until the 22nd century, nobody knew how the pyramids were created at such a primitive time. Many theories circulated. Some claimed that humans were once giants, while others believed humans had met with aliens, naming them Gods, who helped in constructing the pyramids. Some even pointed to supposed evidence of all the pyramids around the world being aligned to constellations.
However, none of these theories were entirely accurate. The truth was far more supernatural than expected.

At 12 AM in the morning, I was in my room, binge-watching anime. After the ending of OP, I hadn't really been impressed with the ending of most new anime, and this one was no different. After so long, OP was still one of the best works ever, especially now that it's been re-animated to look better.
While I was thinking about this, suddenly a bright light shone in the sky all over the world. Jumping off my bed while in my pajamas, I ran out of my room, down the stairs, and out the door. Staring out into the sky, I saw a huge man appearing above the planet. He looked like he was made of the Universe itself, as his visage was clear for all the mortal beings of the planet to see. He looked like a god.
But I didn't feel fear. As advanced as the world was, with numerous VR worlds to explore, they still weren't real. I wanted to experience something truly supernatural, and this... this was as supernatural as it gets. (A planet-sized man made of stars, addressing the whole world, something big was about to happen).
The appearance of the being caused worldwide panic. Unlike what one might expect, there were no riots or stampedes. Instead, everyone on the planet was panicking, yet they remained unmoving, unable to act. After an hour of eerie silence, everybody calmed down, and the being finally spoke in a deep voice.
"Greetings, mortals. I am a messenger of the gods sent to tell you of a crisis that sweeps this Omniverse and give you a fighting chance against it. Gods of death from every pantheon have joined forces and are attacking our havens, including the mortal worlds we protect."
"We initially believed it would be a simple skirmish, but they have gained the support of beings unfathomable even to our god-kings, The outter gods. In a lesser skirmish, we would have ignored a world with such low faith in the gods, given the existence of countless others. But... we have no choice. Our most powerful gods are in battle, and the mortals must be able to protect themselves. Take this gift and be ready for war. Goodbye."
As he left, the world was suddenly overtaken by a psion energy that seeped into all living and non-living things.
Trees bore unknown fruits, animals evolved, natural resources became supernatural, and the world's nature, once spherical, transformed into a flat expanse. The landmass expanded proportionally, and new species emerged from portals. As for humans, we gained knowledge. Not the knowledge of science, but the knowledge of mystics, of magic.
Over a span of a thousand years, a new society emerged. The world first descended into chaos. Some humans transformed into other races, some into monsters, while others gained supernatural abilities.
Civil wars erupted as superhuman-like individuals refused to abide by laws. International criminals escaped the known world and hid beyond. Countries expanded, fought over territories, and World War 3 erupted. In this war, bullets became ineffective, and individuals found ways to grow stronger. A new form of warfare emerged. Countries focused on mystics, and the world's knowledge expanded, perhaps a bit too much.
Nations collapsed, and history repeated itself, prompting the rejection of the old systems. People who had escaped to the New World, which had emerged beyond the known world, established small settlements and kingdoms. Strong humans led these kingdoms. The New Era officially began.
Empires emerged and fell, and humanity slowly recovered. Portals appeared worldwide, bringing in refugees from "the crisis," as they called it. These refugees from fallen worlds, included races that had escaped their own war torn worlds, and others who sought refuge here. Elves, winged men, dwarves, orcs, slithrin, Amazonians, and more arrived. Some kingdoms and empires accepted them, while others enslaved or hunted them. A few created their own isolated kingdoms with creatures from different worlds.
As time passed, the races were increasingly accepted in most societies.
And then there's me, Dracule Narciss. My ancestors were humans, making us accepted by them. They gained a racial mutation during the psion surge, making them subjects of study due to their unique vampire biology. My ancestors escaped and discovered a magnificent floating island in a hidden part of the New World. They inhabited it and founded the Dracule Kingdom.
Due to their ability to spread their race among other species and enforce loyalty as a sub-effect, their kingdom grew rapidly. The new vampires, damphires, and ghouls multiplied. In that thousand-year span before a new system emerged, the Dracule Kingdom became one of the most powerful forces on the planet, or rather, the plain. It was one of the six most powerful empires, known as the Supreme Empires.
These Supreme Empires held control over most of the world and convened every five years to address problems in their territories, find solutions, and discuss preventative actions against impending threats. Currently, there have only been eight leaders in our Empire over a span of a thousand years, and all of them still live. Not only because of our race's innate immortality or our capital's location in the sky but also because of their immense power. Two leaders from every generation, as the Empire stagnates after a prolonged period of the same emperor's leadership. Every two hundred years, a new king and queen ascend, and it will soon be my sister's turn to rule. The previous rulers who have yet to ascend then act as protectors behind the scenes of the Empire, a system adopted by all the other Empires due to its mention in a long-past summit.
My name is Dracule Narciss, and my goal is to become a God-King that rivals the likes of Amun-Ra and Odin. I know of them because I was born with the knowledge of the ancient times. These memories seem like fragments of a life long forgotten, but I prefer to believe that I was born with knowledge rather than entertain the dreadful possibility of a foreign consciousness residing within me.
With this knowledge, I've recreated elements from fiction using magical technology. For example, I've introduced "beastballs" for beast-tamers and created cards capable of projecting holographic images of monsters that battle each other thus creating a sport for civilians, and much more. These innovations have not only boosted my popularity in the New World but have also made our Empire the second wealthiest nation, trailing only the dwarves.
Within my family, I have an older sister named Dracule Xelena. She serves as the crown princess of the Empire, known for her combat prowess and our close friendship. My mother, Dracule Coretta, used to be elven royalty. Her marriage to my father marked a two-century-long alliance between the Dracule and Elven kingdoms, as he officially transformed her into a True Vampire by sharing his essence through a bite.
Currently, I was sitting on my red matris in a reclined position, arms crossed. Three people were around me—a Damphire man in light Imperial Armor, my personal guard; a snake-like woman in an Eastern maid uniform with a concealed wand, responsible for information gathering; and a cloaked woman with a mask, my protector from assassinations.
As I remained in a meditative state, wisps of grey and green energy entered my body. Sebas stood beside me, Elena on the other side, and Elese concealed in the shadows. Suddenly, the door burst open with force, disrupting my meditation. A woman of about twenty-five entered with a wide smile.
"Hey, Narciss!" she greeted with enthusiasm, and my irritation was evident.
"Damnit, Xelena, do you have any idea how difficult it is to attain that state?" I complained as the wisps of energy disappeared.
She waved off my frustration as she made herself at home. "Oh, come on, it's been a while since we've talked, and you're greeting me like this? Besides, I don't understand why you're pursuing this path. You should focus on honing your racial abilities like the rest of us in the search for a Godhead."
I shook my head in disagreement. "No thanks."
As she approached, Xelena suddenly pulled me into an embrace, her armor's breastplate pressing uncomfortably against me.
"Damnit, get off me, you heathen!" I exclaimed, struggling for air. "Do you want to suffocate me?"
In response, I exploded into a swarm of thirty bats, reconstituting myself a few meters away.
Xelena pouted in response to my reluctance. "Whatever, do as you wish. Your power is your own concern. I'm just here to inform you that we need to head to the capital of the seafolk immediately. A spatial disturbance has been detected in the sky above the old Egyptian pyramids. It's speculated that the eldritch and death Gods have finally targeted this plane."
A sense of shock overcame me, and a grave expression settled upon my face. "So, it's here, huh?" I muttered.
Xelena maintained a moment of silence before rising and heading towards the door. "Meet in the palace in a minute. You can bring those three servants of yours if you want."
I watched her exit, my mind racing with countless thoughts. After a brief pause, I waved my hand, conjuring red spell circles that enveloped my form, forming a regal red cloak.
"Let's go," I said to the three. "This world is about to become hell."
