A New Evolution!

As Anna sat on her bed while Yan took a shower in Anna's personal bathroom that even I wasn't allowed to use while living in her room. She was still dumbfounded at the appearance of Yan.

I was still laying on the mattress. Suddenly, I got a kick to the side of my stomach.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"Where did you find him?

"What are you talking about?"

She kept poking me with her foot.

"Where did you just find a celebrity?"

"I said he is a friend"

"Lies. Did you kidnap him or something? And why is he calling you-"

Yan opened the bathroom door, and asked.

"Onii-San! I don't know how to put on a shirt!"

He bursted out of the bathroom with only jeans and wet hair.

Anna swung around, with eyes glued to the perfect body of Yan.

I ran over and started fitting Yan with my best shirt, successfully blocking all of the pictures Anna tried to take of Yan's body.

"Thank youuuuu!" Yan gave me a big hug. It seems that his personality haven't advanced past his 9 year old self.

"I prepared some food for you on the kitchen table. How about you find it?"

Yan's eyes shone and ran for the kitchen.

"Like I said, did you kidnap and mind control him or something?!" Anna gave me a look of disgust

"What would give you that idea?"

"Because on stage he's so cool! He looks so mature and cold up on stage but now he acts like a nine year old!"

"And like I said he's not the Yan on stage! That's a completely different person!"

"There is no one that looks the same as Yan!" She declared.

"But isn't his live concert today?"

"Right!" She opened her system to the live stream.

Yan An with a different hair color was dancing and singing with his crew.

"I'm back!" Yan walked back into Anna's room licking his fingers.

Anna looked at Yan and back to the live stream. She then contacted a friend who attended the concert. She turned face cam on and began talking.

"You're at the concert I'm watching right now, right?"

"Yeah, I am, why?"

"What are you looking at Onee-San?" Yan popped his face into the system camera.

Anna's friend shrieked and began asking questions.

They kept chatting and I just smiled at them. I gazed on their happy moment. I could fall asleep to this! The world right now was perfect. I looked at this scene with a golden glow. This is what a happy life is suppose to be, I guess. Someone to be happy with, someone to be happy for.

Suddenly, my heart throbbed with pain. What the hell was happening? Was it a enemy attack? I looked around me with 「Tracking Eyes Level 1」There was no one except for Yan and Anna talking. I don't want to ruin their moment.

{Invisibility Level 1} I stood up in mist form and squeezed out the corners of the door and materialized outside of it. Naomi was out with his friends again. Perfect.

I ran into Naomi's room and opened my system message.

「Your monster core can no longer withstand the power that you currently possess!」

I looked at it confused. There was no event throughout all of my rift's history that this has happened before. I was a special case. I was a D- class monster that became S+ rank. But that doesn't mean that it has never been done before. The difference was that they had the potential and talent to withstand S+ rank power, while I ranked up with hard work and pure luck. I looked around in my inventory. I guess I was going to have to use this. I pulled out a demon core from my inventory.

If I replace my Monster Core with a Demon one, my body would be corrupted and there was no guarantee that even a High Tier Demon Orb could hold my power right now.

I looked at the holy orb that I got from Yan burning down the tower. I chuckled. I've committed far too many sins to use that.

If you complete a tower, you gain what the tower had promised. Some make you a god, but that's the ones with the highest difficulty of all. But with Yan burning it down, I got the reward instantly, along with two titles.

「Wielder of Hell Fire」the buff it gives is useless to me, because I wasn't the one activated Hellfire, but Yan.

「The Conquerer of Ice」however, was great for me right now.

I looked at the 「Lowest Tier Ice God Orb」 I had on my hand. What if I substituted my Mist Monster Core with this? I stabbed myself in the heart and tore it out. I reached into my subconscious and envisioned it as the Mist Monster Core. The heart transformed into the Mist Monster Core. I could quickly feel my body draining of energy and dying. With hurry, I shoved the God Orb into where my heart was, and crammed the Mist Monster Core back into my Subconscious. A flash of light covered my body. Pain enveloped me like never before.

「You have achieved a feat that has never been done before! You are the first Demon King that evolved into a God!」

I took a deep breath and check my appearance. Long Snow White hair with piercing blue eyes. A long blue and white royal cloak covered my body. I have grown into a Ice God.

How am I going to explain this to Jack? I tried activate the mist, and it still worked. Good. I tried changing my face.

「Failure! You cannot change your Godly appearance!」???

I don't think I can chalk this one up to makeup....
