Monster hunter system in One piece

(Come on big guy get up…You've got shit to do…) I groggily grumbled as I lazily smacked my phones alarm clock and stretched my sore back.

(…Don't tell me I fell asleep working?) I groggily stared at the neatly stacked paperwork on my desk and sighed contently as I slouched on my chair.

"Finally done…" I muttered as I noticed an envelope on my desk and picked it up.

(Is it this month's cut?) I thought with boredom and slight gratefulness as I opened it up revealing a check and a letter.

I read it with a bored look expecting it to be nothing special before it changed to one of surprise.

"HAH?!" I blurted out confused as I whipped my phone out and looked at the date.

[28/11/2029]

"HELL YEAH! WINTER BREAK BITCHES!" My yell echoed through the office empty corridors as I tied my shoelaces while limping/walking.

"Morning Norman…" I looked to my left and saw the sleep deprived night guard tiredly wave at me from his post.

"Morning Greg!" I happily greeted the man while putting on a black jacket.

I looked up and saw the night sky slowly brighten into sunrise as I walked home.

(I can finally go home and return to my natural state- AN INTROVERT!) I thought as I scrolled through my phone looking at news.

(Damnit! Inflation increase by 24%?! What kind of bull- Oh what do we have here? The final episode of one piece released!) I thought excitedly forgetting the load of shit from the government.

"I can finally finish one piece…" I muttered with a smile as I crossed the road slowly careful not to slip on the icy asphalt.

(I believe I stopped watching at egghead and that was years ago in collage! The animation must be god tier at this point! I can't wait to watch it!) Suddenly I noticed the traffic light change to red but paid it no mind seeing no vehicles on the road.

*Crack*

Suddenly the ice under me cracked causing me to fall face first into the asphalt busting and bruising my face.

"Fuck! I broke a tooth-"

*HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK*

(Or not…) My heart jumped out my throat as I turned around to see a double decker bus.

I felt fear like no one before me as the steel wagon rammed into my body killing me almost immediately.

(A void?) I wondered as I looked around seeing an endless multicolored space that I floated in…somehow.

*Snap*

With a resounding snap I suddenly I found myself somewhere else, the void from before replaced with a still and clear ocean and a blue almost white sky. 

I looked around for a moment before noticing that in front of a man in a black and white business suit with a blurred face only his mouth not blurred out.

"I'll keep it short and simple you're getting reincarnated into a fictional world of your choice and a system of my choosing mortal…" The man's voice distorted just like his face.

"What…" was the only thing I could blurt out.

"*Sigh* This is why I hate this job…You were supposed to die due to a Typhon when you were 73, but you instead died by accident at the age of 26 so as compensation you get reincarnated…" He said irritably while tapping his feet creating countless ripples on the pristine water that was somehow solid?

(This reminds me of one of those isekai manga's…) the thought lingered in the back of my mind as I stared at the man my situation slowly setting in.

"Can I please know what the system is beforehand?" I asked unsure and nervously knowing I was dead as no man could live after what just happened to me.

"…Well this is a first, I usually decide on it after you choose the world but sure I guess?" He snapped his fingers creating a roulette wheel out of thin air before spinning it with another snap.

*Ding! X3*

"And you got the monster hunter system congratulations and no you can't get a refund…" He said in a dry and uninterested tone as the wheel almost immediately stopped.

"I'll explain it now…." He paused as he pulled out a piece of paper and craned his neck down at it.

"Depending on how you change the plot of the world for the better or worse you'll be given rewards revolving around four tokens…"

"Monster tokens in which you can transform into a random monster depending on what monster class is shown on the token. If you had a bird wyvern token and used it, you would be able to transform into a randomly selected base form bird wyvern meaning no variants of the sort just yet…"

"Gear tokens in which you get a random set of equipment from the game like the armor and weapons. This token is not only limited to that, you can also get random stuff from other games, shows, movies, etc. but you'll mostly get stuff like clothes of certain characters or device of that world. The chances of you getting and weapons or anything useful outside the ones of monster hunter are very low…."

"And the final being evo tokens where you use it to unlock random forms of a monster you already got such as zenith, risen, variants, or subspecies. Do you understand so far?" I dumbly nodded processing the words he just said.

"How good of a reward and the amount of tokens you get depends on how much you changed the plot. If you've made no changes, you'll probably get a single Monster token for a weak small monster and if you made big changes you'd get something like a strong fanged beast token…"

 "You'll be given a timer that can last from a day to a month to change as much as possible. The problem is you don't know when the timer starts and when it ends you'll be given your rewards and then it restarts once again repeating the cycle. You'll also get a starter pack as well- a weak one but a starter pack nonetheless." I stood there quietly as I pondered my situation.

"Um, what about the power scales, each world is different, right? If I were in Naruto would I be able to use chakra?" I asked curiously as I remembered hunting monsters back in college and comparing that to anime worlds a majority were not that exceptionally strong

"As for the power scaling of these monsters and yourself, it depends on the power cap of the world if you chose a normal one like Brooklyn 99 they'll be severely weakened and if you choose tensura you'll have no power cap but to reach that maximum state will require a lot of training a millennia's worth really. But yes you'll be able to use such powers of the world you're in as long as it is not limited to clans or lineages." 

(Okay Norman this is a once in a life time opportunity choose one that'll let you live a second life of freedom and won't be boring…the opposite of the last one….) I contemplated my options as the man continued to make ripples out of irritation.

"I'll choose one piece and since I'd be in one piece hybrid transformations should be possible right?" I asked almost pleading to the 'deity'.

"It would have even without my interference now choose the reincarnation process as well as timeline…" He lazily took out a notepad and pen.

"I'd rather just create a new body and a few months before cannon please." I replied without hesitation and the mysterious man noted it down on the notepad.

"Okay just create your body and I'll send you off…" A panel of sorts opened in front of me with a plain white mannequin.
