Chapter 8: New Friend
POV: Celestina
"Wait! I didn't quite catch your name. What's your name actually?"
The air went silent... the tension grew thicker that you could cut it with a knife... the girl's sweet smile turned into a scowl. Staring at Celestina with deep intent of malice. "Did I do something wrong.. I was only asking for her name...." Celestina thought to herself confused about the situation.
"Oh! Haha!" She burst out laughing.. giggling in a silly manner. "I'm just not used to people not knowing my name! I've always been called by strangers that it's kind of a shocker that you don't know my name!"
So that's what she was shocked about... although from her looks a moment ago... she was like ready to kill me and take my soul from my body... I guess.. she looks a bit intimidating to some...
"My name is Celestina Aurora. It's a pleasure to meet you." I offered her my hand for a handshake.
She was a bit reluctant to hand over her hand. Although she gave up giving me a big smile while she shakes my hand and then takes it away very quickly.
"I'm Meghan James. Nice to meet you. I'm known in starstagram if you didn't know! I have millions of followers and everyone just straight up adores me." She says with pride and ego.
Oh... ugh... I stood over there confused... "So.. people follow you? Like follow your instructions and so?"
"I guess you could say that they follow my instructions but followers are kind of fans in a way. Don't tell me you haven't heard of starstagram before. I'm the one with the most followers there currently."
Starstagram must be one of those social media... Lawrence was talking about. "Oh, I heard of starstagram... it's a social media.. and er.. stuff.. right.. that's what it is right..." I said to her timidly...
"Um.. okay then... I kind of have a schedule currently so I'm sorry but we're going to have to depart very quickly. Thank you and goodbye!" She says quickly dashing towards her room and locking the door after she says her goodbyes...
Although I get the feeling she has some sort of grudge against me... Her smiles are there but... deep down. I can feel as if she is feeling something else... or maybe I'm just being really paranoid.. I'm not really sure...
Well, either way! I reached for the door of my hotel room along with my luggage I open it to see a very neatly decorated room... It.. was just like my room in the castle... the bed was soft and big and fluffy like a cloud. The dim amber light reflected across the room and combined with the dark sky displayed a relaxing image to the eyes.
I shouldn't be distracted by the luxury of the hotel room... I should probably get my clothes and freshen up!
I got ready to go over to the shower.... as I opened the knob to the shower. The water starts dripping down my skin. It was cold... very cold.. at the front, I notice there were two knobs.. one with a red color and the other blue... I'm guessing these are temperature knobs...
"I prefer it being hot!" I turned the red knob as the water fell down. "ACK TOO HOT!" I hurried to close the knob as scalding water pour down my skin..."Hm.. I not used to this.. although..."
I turned both knobs to see if they would harmonize together into something more lukewarm. Something that is more pleasing to my soft and bouncy skin. The combination of turning both colored knobs produced a lukewarm water.. something that's like in the hot springs... not too hot and not too cold...
I took deep breaths and close my eyes as the water passed through my body. It's so relaxing... but I think I might have to hurry Lawrence is waiting for me. I hurried up my shower, scrubbing the important parts. I got my toothbrush and brushed in the shower.
It is pretty uncommon for a lot of people but I don't use a sink to brush my teeth. I just use the water that's dripping down to wash the bubbles.
When I finished. I started rinsing and then going out of the shower room in one well swoop.
"I got my hair blower and dried my hair... I was thinking of getting a hair cut... just drying my hair just takes so long... I said to myself as I looked in the mirror as I continued blowing my hair. It just made me think of the future...
This is going to be a change to what I'm used to generally... I have maids and servants who do everything to me... I didn't even have to worry about anything... but now... I'll have to take care of myself... Although I don't really have the right to complain considering that I chose this myself.
I finished drying my hair and got dressed in my outfit for the night. I wore the sapphire pendant that my tutor gave me. It's something I treat as something special and I'll continue to wear it during my time in my new academy.
As I head out of the room... I see the girl... Meghan James in the distance... she looked... very worried... she's over in the corner on the phone.. staring and shaking in her boots as she's listening on the phone. She looks like she's in some sort of trouble...
I walked towards her putting my hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright?"
She then turns around shocked at my presence. Even almost kicking me but as soon as she saw my face.. she reverted back to her regular smile. "Are you okay? You seem to be in some kind of trouble..."
"OH! I'm fine! I mean why wouldn't I be? It's just that I got a call from my family... it's kind of a personal thing sorry! But thank you for your concerns! I appreciate that you care for me!" She giggled a little bit showing no sign of concern in her face.
Although... when I came out... she didn't look FINE... she looked like... she was covered with dread...
