THE MERCENARY'S BLADE

The world is being controlled by greedy pigs, senseless and brutal demons. The world is in chaos because of them, the system became unjustified and the lives of many are at risk. The heroes that are supposed to save the world, when things like this happen just vanished into thin air and nowhere to be found. A kid named Lennart and a former mercenary named Haluk will soon be bound by fate. Both of them will understand each other greatly as they are very similar yet very different. At the age of 12, Lennart learned how to kill someone very quickly and precisely, not leaving a single trace on whoever did that to them. And as he became fond of killing, killing became his job and everyday life. And as for Haluk, his life was greatly similar to him, being hired by pigs to kill other pigs every single day. Haluk grew tired out of it, and his conscience won't let his mind in peace. His point of view changed because of that one incident, he was very brutal, merciless, and cold back then. But what changes him was because of that incident. But as for Lennart, he's still getting hired to kill people and his path will be crossed with Haluk. Will his way of life gonna change? Will, he breaks and change the system that their world has?

fullmetal alchemist adventure around the world

This was originally posted on wattpad, but I’m moving my stories over here. In this world, alchemy is one of the most-practiced sciences; Alchemists who work for the government are known as State Alchemists and are automatically given the rank of Major in the military. Alchemists have the ability, with the help of patterns called Transmutation Circles, to create almost anything they desire. However, when they do so, they must provide something of equal value in accordance with the Law of Equivalent Exchange. The only things Alchemists are forbidden from transmuting are humans and gold. There has never been a successful human transmutation; those who attempt it lose a part of their body and the result is a horrific inhuman mass. Attemptees are confronted by Truth and are automatically given the rank of Major in the military. Attemptees are confronted by Truth, a pantheistic and semi-cerebral God-like being who tauntingly regulates all alchemy use and whose nigh-featureless appearance is relative to the person to whom Truth is conversing with; it is frequently claimed and believed that Truth is a personal God who punishes the arrogant. Attemptees of Human Transmutation are also thrown into the Gate of Truth, where they receive an overwhelming dose of information, but also allowing them to transmute without a circle. All living things possess their own Gate of Truth, and per the Gaea hypothesis heavenly bodies like planets also have their own Gates of Truth. It is possible to bypass the Law of Equivalent Exchange (to an extent) using a Philosopher's Stone, a red, enigmatic substance. Philosopher's Stones can be used to create Homunculi, artificial humans of proud nature. Homunculi have numerous superhuman abilities unique among each other and look down upon all humanity. With the exception of one, they do not age and can only be killed via the destruction of their Philosopher's Stones.

Badge Without Honor

Emily Kendricks is a writer of romance and crime fiction. Her first two novels, The Fantasy Maker and Badge Without Honor, earned her spots on Goodreads. Growing up in Pittsburgh, PA, Emily never quite felt like she fit in. Soon after completing her education at Penn State, with a Law Enforcement major, she and her new husband moved to New York City. She found The Big Apple to be a perfect fit! There, Emily started a new life as wife, mother and author. Despite her love for reading great crime novels, Emily found that she preferred creating her own nail-biting plots! Her focus is on strong female character development and compelling storylines. A widowed mother of two, Emily is now settling into the next phase of her own life. She lives with her Chihuahua rescue, Chloe. When former New York City detective and recent divorcee, John Bocello, settles down in small town Darlington, he hopes for nothing more than an uncomplicated, quiet life of light duty police work. The last thing he wants is to be thrown into a serial killer’s bloody endgame. Or to fall head over heels for enigmatic local business owner, Dianne Lawson, a young widow with ghosts of her own. But when the body count rises, John is called in to investigate and events take a catastrophic turn. When his new love interest becomes the next target, John must choose between the ordinary life he thought he wanted and almost certain death at the hands of a malevolent killer. Unable to trust anyone around him, he tracks the killer who seems to always stay one step ahead of him…until everything comes to a heart-pounding climax as John races against time to reach Dianne before it’s too late.
