Ou Zun is on the phone looking incredibly upset, his voice harsh and his temper short.
"It's late. What's the matter?"
Whatever was said on the other side of the line immediately changed Ou Zun's expression. He quickly put on his clothes and told Mù Qiānxún, "I have to go out for a bit, you sleep."
She buried herself in the blanket, sulking.
Muttering.
"I'm not a child that needs to be lulled to sleep."
Ou Zun seemed to instinctively know why she was being so capricious tonight. A warm feeling whirled in his chest.
She's jealous!
So adorable!
So, when she's jealous, she acts irrationally and unpredictably. Funny, really.
Ou Zun, with a gentle smile on his face, moved closer, planted a kiss on her forehead, and said warmly, "Be good. Don't overthink. Get some sleep. I'll be back as soon as possible."
Then, he left.
