Surviving

A/n: I added a few things Leo did because I didn't feel like he did anything but coincidentally save Raven.

So I just added him saving the people and a little interaction with Scott, might feel like nothing but there was nothing he could do to her.

I also have to thank someone in the comments for telling me to change the mission title because he was doing more surviving than defeating.

Looking at the blue skinned woman ontop of me, I couldn't help but chuckle, the fact that I had potentially saved her life was looming over my head, but the destruction that was being caused by Jean returned my focus.

"I think it's high time you got off me" I said to the blue skinned woman. Raven.

"I'm so sorry" she apologized as she got off me, allowing me to stand up.

"Don't worry about that, what we need to worry about is..." I paused as I pointed at Jean through the hole that I made after crashing here.

"I tried to reason with her, but..." before raven could finish, the body of Logan could be seen getting flunged to a building.

"I guess he also failed" I said as Ororo blasted a pressure of wind towards Jean, whom ignored it as a telekinetic barrier stopped the pressurized wind and blowing her away.

"Let's see what I can do" I grinned as I spread my senses as far as I could.

"Well, this won't help" I said while looking at my guns, they were completely useless against the crazy teen.

"I think it would be wise to evacuate" Raven suggested with worry evident in her tone.

"I survived crashing into a building, I'm pretty sure I can handle myself" I said as I jumped out of the house through the hole made by yours truly.

Landing right ontop of a broken car, I looked around scanning my surroundings, there were police, military soilders and civilians fleeing the area.

"Let's see" I muttered as I watched Scott also known as cyclops try to close in on Jean, but with no avail, getting thrown away in the process.

But I quickly spotted my target and made my way to him jot without dodging a few cars thrown my way.

"You are that ma-" before he could finish, a wave of telekinetic force blew past us almost sending Hank flying, but I was able to catch him and hold him down until the wave stopped.

"That was... something" I said as I released the blue beast " I have a fovor to ask" I blurted out as a large rock flew past us, hitting a building behind us.

"And what is it?" The beast asked as he tried to set up his sniper rifle which looked way out of its time.

"I need some effective ones" I said gesturing towards my guns, which he picked up on.

"I don't who you are but if it means having a chance, then I'll take it" he stated as he took out an high tech pistol "this baby is one of a kind" hank said as he handed me the pistol.

"This will help" I replied as I stood up from crouching position, aiming the pistol at the temper tantrum teen.

Shooting several shots that were blocked my an invincible barrier "still better than normal bullets" I commented as I ducked under an incoming truck.

But that didn't matter as a strong wave of telekinetic force slammed into me sending me flying and crashing into a tank.

"Damn" I cursed as I tried to stay conscious, but I didn't have time to catch my breath as a blue van was thrown at me.

"Give me a break with the damn blues!" I yelled as I rolled out of the way, dodging the blue van as it crashed onto the tank.

Looking behind me, the figures of several men in military clothing trying to evacuate some people appeared in my eyes just as an explosion went off behind me catching my attention.

But as I looked behind me, a large blue truck with yellow stripes was flying towards my direction, but as I was about to dodge I remembered the people behind me making me quickly run infront of them and bracing for impact.

Until now I didn't realize how durable I was, but being able to survive a large truck being thrown at you and walking it off with a little body ache was definitely very durable.

After the people were evacuated, I quickly made my way to a wounded Scott whom was wary of me as I helped him up to his feet.

"Who are you, and why are you helping us?" He asked as I sat him on a rock.

"I'm just a man that doesn't want himself and his planet to get blown up by a kid that's hosting a comic being" I joked as I saw the frame of Logan as he busted out of the ground, dust covering his body.

"Seems your friend there is ready to finish this" I smirked as I walked away, to find a blue furry beast.

"Snap out of it Jean!" an airborne Ororo yelled as she sent several lightning bolts at the host of the Phoenix, which were proved useless as Jean slapped them away with a wave of her hands, causing several explosions around the area, and blowing Ororo right out of the air.

"Get away!" The teen yelled releasing a powerful force which blew the entire X-Men team away.

'This feels familiar' I thought as I remembered this scene from the movies but then again, I might be wrong since I didn't really watch the movie and just spoilers.

After making my way back to the previous location of hank whom was now buried under debris.

"Are you ok?" I asked as I pulled the blue beast out of the debris while Logan Raven made her way towards us with quick steps.

"I almost died" he replied as he looked at the back of Logan whom was trying to walk closer to Jean, Scott watching from his sitting position.

"Hank" Raven called out as she arrived in which she quickly pulled the guy into a hug.

"I thought you were flunged away" Hank asked with suprise as Raven pulled out of the hug.

"Well, I might be in a worse situation if it wasn't for him" Raven said as she looked at me with a thankful face, which I nodded to.

"Your name?" Hank asked as he was helped to his feet by Raven.

"Leo" I answered as I shaked the man's hands, but our introductions were cut short as an explosion went off at the direction of Jean and Logan.

'It's happening' i thought as I felt the immense power of the Phoenix start to dissappear 'I guess I survived' I inwardly thought with a smile.

"Noo, Jean!" I heard Xavier and Scott yell as the claws of Logan were covered in blood, the body of Jean beginning to glow and dissappear.

"Stay alive, for me" the voice of Jean could be heard as Logan fell to his knees.

"Damn it!" He grived as Xaviers body slumped down into his wheelchair.

Today was very taxing and I needed my rest. so while everyone were grieving their loss, I quickly slipped away.
