Chapter 1Chapter one

The date was 29 November 2023 and Manchester United had just bottled a 2-0 lead against Galatasaray in the Uefa Champions League otherwise known as the UCL and despite scoring the most goals in our group it seems United European dreams have seemingly come to an end. On the roads of Lagos, Nigeria a sad United fan is walking home with other United fans from a viewing center where they just watched the game. "We need to beat Bayern and the other 2 teams need to play a draw for us to qualify for the knockout rounds" says a random fan "We do but can you confidently say we can do that" someone else replies "This is Football anything can happen" he replies back.

While the conversation was going on our protagonist called Shola was lost in thought as he just couldn't see a way forward for his beloved team while he could point fingers at the owners for the poor management of the team the players can't keep going without blame players like Rashford and Martial shouldn't be at the club it has gotten so bad that Arsenal has a better chance at the title than we do. He looked up and found that he had gotten home after wishing others a good night he went into his home and a quick shower before laying on his bed his last thought being that he wished the Glazers were no longer in charge of the club and the club going back to its glory days.

Waking up Shola found himself in a floating in a void he felt weightless and he couldn't sense anything he had no idea how long he laid there just floating but it felt like a long time as an avid reader of isekai WebNovel it wasn't lost on him that this looks like the typical description of a ROBs waiting room he just had to wait his turn. After what felt like an eternity, it seems like it was now his turn he stood in front of the ROB waiting to be informed of his fate.

"You died in a fire that started from your neighbors apartment and spread to yours" said the ROB while he had expected it, it's not everyday one hears that they're dead taking a deep breath "Alright what's next. Do i spin a wheel or do I just tell you my wishes" he asked the ROB what he knew of situations like this "While there are others who operate like this, that's not my style" with a look of confusion "What is your style then" he asked the ROB "well I'll have to review what your last thoughts were before you died and see if it's something I can help with if it's not I'll pass you along to another ROB who can" with a nod our MC agreed "Alright let's see what your last thoughts were" the ROB set up a speaker which played out our MC's last thoughts which were. "I wish the Glazers were no longer in charge of the club and the club going back to its glory days"

With the last thoughts having played out, The ROB was left contemplating " While I can't make you in charge of the club, I can reincarnate you back in time to around the year 1978 to make your dream a reality or to do whatever you want to" he offered, Shola considered this and agreed while he would've liked to have gone back later in time so the glazers don't take control of the club he had no choice. "Do I get to choose where I'd be born?" He asked the ROB, the ROB looked at him like he was crazy "The year I stated is when you'll be born". . . "WHAT!!! what do you mean I'll be born in 1978?" He asked "Well yeah you'll be born with all your memories and the whole shebang" he said " Do i have a choice in this?" Without a thought the ROB denied him. With a sigh Shola nodded his head " I wish you good luck" with a wave of its hand our protagonist left to start a new life

Greatest Of All Legends

“Who is the football GOAT?” A question that has been asked countless times in the last decade. Is it Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi? To be fair, the question actually depended on what one wanted from a player as they were two different people and they played differently from the other. This was also the case with every other legendary player to grace the game. As a diehard fan of the game, Jason Bolu also had someone he thought to be the goat, but unlike most people, he harbored the desire to not only become as great as them, but even greater than any legend that ever graced the game. He wanted to become the Greatest Of All Legends… the GOAL. Unfortunately, fate has never cared about people’s hopes and dreams, and just like every other unfortunate human, she hit him hard across the face with a broken reality and sent him flying in another direction from his goal, yet he didn’t give up and continually persevered but, in the end, he didn’t ever make it. He wasn’t even halfway near his goal. He thought it was over… but it wasn’t. He got another chance at his dreams, and this time he was going to do more than his best to achieve his dream. *disclaimer* There is no system or cheats, just plain hard work and a past life of experience.. Also, despite the use of real-life characters, places and things, this is an artistic creation in which things wouldn't be as they are in real life so don't be surprised at some things that are unrealistic and out of place e.g. exact details, attitude of characters etc. This is a slow-paced novel. Godfather Of Champions

This is a story about the pursuit of victory. — "I subscribe only to the theory of victory. I only pursue victory. As long as I am able to obtain victory, I don’t care if it’s total football or counterattack. What is the ultimate goal of professional soccer? In my opinion, it is victory, and the pinnacle of victory is to become the champions. I am a manager. If I don’t wish to lose my job or be forgotten by the people, there’s only one path for me to take, and that is to lead the team in obtaining victories, in obtaining championship titles!” The main character was not well-liked by people. — “⋯We conducted a survey which had been deemed by Manager Tony Twain as extremely meaningless. In a random street survey conducted, ninety-three percent of those surveyed chose the option ‘I hate Tony Twain’, while only seven percent chose the option ‘This person is rather decent, I like him’. It is worth noting that nobody chose the option ‘Who is Tony Twain? I don’t know him’. Mark, do you know why Manager Twain felt that our survey was very meaningless?” Parker, a reporter from <The Daily Telegraph> laughed loudly and said when he was being interviewed by BBC. But there were also people who were madly in love with him. — “⋯ Became the spokesperson of world-wide famous clothing brands, shot advertisements, frequented the fashion industry’s award ceremonies, endorsed electronic games, has a supermodel girlfriend. His earnings from advertisements exceed his club salary by seventeen times, owns a special column in various print medias, publishing his autobiography (in progress), and is even said that he is planning to shoot an inspirational film based off his own person experiences! Who can tell me which part of his life experiences is worthy of being called ‘inspirational’? Hold on⋯. Are you all thinking that I’m referring to David Beckham? You’re sorely mistaken! I’m talking about Manager Tony Twain⋯.” He was very knowledgeable about Chinese soccer. — “⋯ I’ve heard about it, that Bora gifted four books to his manager Mr. Zhu before your country’s national team’s warm up match. After which, the team lost 1:3 to a nameless American team from Major League Soccer. The new excuse that Mr. Zhu gave for losing the match, was that Bora gifted “books” (‘books’ and ‘lose’ are homophones in the Chinese language). Here, I recommend that you guys find out what that one specific book is. Which book? Of course the one that caused you all to score a goal. After that, tell me the title of the book. Before every match, I will gift ten copies of that same book to you. In that case, won’t you all be able to get a triumphant 10:0 win over your opponents every time?” An excerpt taken from Tony Twain’s special column in a certain famous Chinese sports newspaper.
