Chapter 6: Frenzy

With his full and increased mana capacity, nuriel is thinking of going back to sean's village to bury the remains of the villagers.

"If sean's memory serves me right, if i go back all the way from where i am, to North west, i'll reach the village....right?"

Nuriel, who is confused about the direction he should take, decided to go backwards----away from the huge tree where sean died.

"Let's equip some garments first, i can't just walk around wearing something full of holes and stench of blood, aren't i?"

It did not even take marco a minute to fully equip himself with new set of clothes and equipment.

"This system's feature never cease to amaze me, both in my previous and current life. ", Now that he is ready, it is time to depart.

After walking for 20 minutes while also killing small monsters along the way, he is now level 9.

Not far from where he is standing, a foul smell entered his nose. He quickly head towards it --- and surprisingly --- the place of where the smell originated, came from the location of sean's now deceased mother, Theresa.

The trace of sexual abuse is clear.

With her corpse currently butt naked, private part full of blood and semen, the same goes for her breasts.

The sorry sight of once warm, cheerful and loving mother -- is now a cold, lifeless corpse.

"Those maniacs, i swear... if you're still alive by the time we met, i'll make you suffer from pain and torture that no one could ever imagine".

Nuriel quietly picked theresa's corpse and carried her on his back.

"I will bring you back to the village, where everyone is waiting for you." Nuriel muttered solemnly.

The grosteque scene marco saw was stomach turning.

'What...'

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING YOU FILTHY ANIMALS!"

In truth, he had expected this outcome and had resigned himself to it, but actually confronted by that fact filled him with an incomparable feeling of despair.

There are greyhounds and lesser wolves munching on the dead bodies of the villagers' corpse. Nuriel shouted to gain their attention and carefully put down theresa.

His mana is currently full, and that makes him confident to fight against all of those beasts although he is outnumbered.

There are 7 greyhounds and 10 lesser wolves. All of them are only level 6 -- wait no -- there is one great wolf mixed in with the pack. And it is level 12. Aside from its level, the size of this one were twice than lesser wolves, and its metal claw is highly dangerous. It was said to be as sharp as a sword.

Nuriel is only level 9, and from an observer's view, they might think that nuriel was in a disadvantage, little did they know... that he only need one more kill to level up, so in a case where he depleted his mana it will instantly recover at once.

All he had to do is dodge incoming attacks and fight smart.

Awoooo!

The greatwolf gave an attack signal that resounded across the forest. In sync -- 4 lesser wolves ran towards his direction without any special movements at all.

"Heh, in the end beast will always be beast, morons!".

"Eat this! Fireball! 2x and the finisher, Windcutter!", Nuriel casted a barage of spells to kill those beasts.

His level jumped to [Level 13] in an instant, which enrage the greatwolf and attacked him along with the 5 remaining lesser wolves.

Stump stump stump wooosh!

The greatwolf is quick on its feet -- unlike the first wave, this one in particular used the terrain in its advantage by jumping through trees --- But, nuriel remained calm.

"Stone wall!", with stone wall, nuriel covered theresa's corpse to protect it.

He observed the pattern of its movements while dodging every attacks by a hair's breath. After finding the gap between its attacks, he stepped backward and used windcutter above the greatwolf's head to distrack it.

And consecutively used, "ICE SPEAR!", underneath of the greatwolf's body potruted a huge spear of ice that pierced its belly.

It didn't die and used the Ace of Greatwolves', Sonic Howl.

It is a combination of wind and sound attack to stun their prey. The area got covered with cloud of dust as the skill hit nuriel and his surroundings.

Inside the smoke came, "Wind Cutter!" The smoke dispersed at once.

Ching! Thud!

The unforseen attack severed the great wolf's head -- seeing the death of their pack leader. The petrified lesser wolves attempted to run away, but no one is escaping from Nuriel's grasp.

"Blink"

Nuriel suddenly appeared above the lesser wolves using blink and consecutively used "Ice Spear 5X" that killed the lesser wolves in one go.

Twin points of crimson light burned brightly within Nuriel's eyes, he smiled inwardly and shouted.

"Time for you to follow your leader to the after life!"

The next scenes were a one sided onslaught brought by Nuriel, to those poor unlucky monsters.

The greyhounds escaped already when the group of wolves fell one after another. Nuriel decided not to chase after them, because he didn't came here to hunt. His priority is to bury the remains of the villager's corpse.

"I'm sorry that i arrived late, all of you can leave everything to me, as a form of compensation, i will give you all a proper burial."

Marco said whilst bowing his head slightly with his eyes closed as a gesture of respect towards the villager's souls.

It was already afternoon when he finished collecting and burying the dead bodies, and what's left was the 2 special corpses placed ahead of the others.

Those 2 was sean's parents. Nuriel placed them below 6fth with utmost care, whilst the others were stacked and piled up randomy inside the huge hole --- Sean's deceased parents had their own individual rectangle shaped graves. though it might piss off the other souls by the unfair treatment. Marco hoped that they will let it slide.

"Now that its already done, next is to cover everone using 'stone wall'."

It seemed like golems sprouted from the soil, but it was just ordinary stone walls that serves as coffin's lid and tombstone for them.

Sniff sniff

"Ah, i really am an idiot. Now, my māj cloak is now covered with rotting smell and stench of blood, again."

Looks like i shouldn't have discarded my māj cloak... but that would mean i had to bear with the smell for who knows how long -- yeah i made the right choice.

Forcing himself to believe that, what he did to his cloak was right... Nuriel heared a notification sound.
