Trick 56: Slaying Alien-Insect-Dog Things!

Romanoff walked out of the jet and threw a little ear bud, Ace caught it and put it in his ear before nodding at them and flying off as Tony's voice sounded "Lookin' a little ragged there, Wizard dude. Forgot your clothes at the dry cleaners?"

Ace flipped his palms, magic cards made of energy appeared before flying out like flaming missiles, hitting aliens everywhere around him as he flew by on his broom.

He replied "More like the dry cleaner took them back." as he looked behind him at a group of aliens chasing him. He turned the corner and flew into the sky as they fired lasers at him, spinning on his broom, adding "Is there an easy way?"

Tony echoed, "Oh, I'd like to know too, please."

The duo both heard Barton say "They don't bank too good." Ace dove down and cut a corner sharply as though he was riding a skateboard before shooting off as the aliens smashed into the building, exploding.

He turned back and commented "You didn't say they could explode." Barton fired an arrow, saying "They don't explode down here, chief."

Tony flew by and replied "It's like the fourth of july!"

Ace took out his wand and tapped his temple, muttering "Vita Aspectu" before looking around at the buildings and ground. Tony commented "Am I the only one that doesn't speak latin? Starting to feel left out." as he spiraled in the sky, shooting out little flares as the aliens lost control, smashing into buildings.

Romanoff remarked "He said Life Sight. Must be a spell." Captain America spoke over the communications, "We can talk about spells and the wizard later. Stark, what's your status?"

Tony replied "Wavepool in the summer, pal." Captain America replied "Alright, Cloak, can you help?" Ace replied "Uhhh… Sure." Tony spoke again, "Ou! Can you bring ice cream with you?"

Ace replied "Do you like alien flavor?" Tony was silent for a moment before replying "Suddenly, I want a steak. Is that weird?"

Ace flew by on his broom and pointed his wand saying "Tony, up." Tony flew up, replying "I'm not a dog!" as Ace shouted "Protego Maxima!"

A massive shield came out of Ace's wand, creating a wall as the aliens flew into it, exploding instantly!

Ace tilted and turned a corner, flying away as Tony whistled "Not bad, I would've added more flair-" Captain America said "Stark!" Tony snorted and flew off, adding "Alright, I get it. Jeez."

Romanoff's voice was heard on the radio "We got a big one here…"

Tony and Ace looked up as a giant space whale flew down, Tony said "I got it." Ace frowned and flew down into the streets, conjuring cards that flew everywhere, sticking into aliens and exploding with little explosions that blew them to pieces.

He waved his wand and bubbles appeared around people, floating them out of the way as he asked "Uhh… Where do I put the people?" Captain America replied instantly "There's a perimeter on 39th, send them to the police or underground in the subways. You know where that is?"

Ace turned his head and replied "Cap. I'm not a monk." before turning a corner, dragging a huge bubble full of people behind him. He saw the police and dropped the bubble, bringing everyone to safety before nodding and flying off.

Captain America said over the radio, "Stark, we got Banner." Tony replied "Well tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you."

Ace was stunned and pulled the front of the broom up, stopping dead in his tracks before turning to the side and shooting off.

He came to a long street and hovered over Captain America, Barton, Thor, Romanoff, and Banner. He looked at Tony luring a space dragon whale towards them and asked "This is a party for you?"

Tony replied "I remember you not talking so much, that was much better." Captain America looked at Banner and said "Dr. Banner. Now might be a good time to get angry."

Bruce walked towards the dragon as Tony shot past the group, he turned and said "That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry." before turning into the Hulk and punching the dragon!

The dragon tilted up and Ace put his hands up, creating a giant purple shield as Tony blew the dragon up.

The rest of the dragon fell to the ground and Ace flicked his hand, another shield stopping the rest of it from hitting anyone.

He looked around and Tony hovered near him. The entire group looked around and Romanoff said "Guys." everyone looked up and Tony said "Call it, Captain."

Ace frowned as he looked at 3 more space whales, getting a real headache…

Captain America said "All right, listen up. Until we can close that portal, our priority is containment. Barton, I want you on that roof. Eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got perimeter."

He turned back and continued "Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or turn it to ash." Barton looked at Tony and asked "Give me a lift?" Tony nodded and grabbed him, replying "Better clench up, Legolas." before flying up with Barton.

Captain America pointed at Thor, saying "Thor, you gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow 'em down. You got the lightning. Light the bastards up." Thor flew off and Captain America looked at Ace, saying "There's gonna be debris and rubble, I want you to prioritize search and rescue. Go in and get them out."

Ace nodded and flew off as Captain America turned to Romanoff, saying "You and me, we stay here on the ground. We keep fighting here. And Hulk…" he turned back and Hulk turned as he said "Smash." Hulk grinned and jumped onto a building as Captain America and Romanoff started running back into the fight.

Ace flew through the streets, flicking his hands forward, shooting fireballs and picking people up. He turned his head and cast a huge shield, blocking the group of civilians as a group of aliens flew into the barrier and crashed.

He waved his hands, throwing out little discs of purple light, slicing the aliens on the ground as he said "Run! There's a perimeter on 39th. Use the subways, get into a basement. Anywhere but the streets." the people nodded and started running.

Ace guarded them before flying off and casting a shield over a group of people as a falling sign came for them.

He waved and the sign turned to powder as it passed through the shield. He repeated his words and left again as all the members of the group were fighting their hardest.

Ace flew by Tony, who fired a repulsor beam. Ace waved his hands and the beam curved, going through a group of aliens around Captain America before exploding in front of a flying alien, blowing it up.

Ace turned and saw a bunch of people in a building. He frowned and touched the building, his eyes glowing purple. The building exploded into confetti as a huge shield caught everyone, bringing them to the ground as he flew away.

His eyes caught something and he said "Cap, the bank next to you. Group of people being held hostage." Cap replied "On it." as Ace flew in front of a space dragon, blocking it with a shield as Thor and Hulk jumped off, landing on top of the building behind Ace.

The space dragon fell to the ground and Ace turned to them saying "Be more careful." before flying off. Thor turned to Hulk and said "You heard him." but the Hulk punched Thor flying and snorted.

Ace returned to saving people as the army rolled in, he brought a group to them before shooting off.

As the time passed, it seemed that the aliens were never ending…
