Prologue

Dane sits by a rock sharpening his blade his armour is damaged he just killed an army of demon worshipping cult his mentor and father William Wolfheart stands next to him covered in blood "that was a good fight the kingdoms are safe and at peace" Dane nods "come on we should go before it gets late."

Dane looks back at the battlefield bodies thrown everywhere mostly the cult lay there but a few knights are there Dane sighs he hates war they return home the great white city. Zarthone a great white marble city known by other races as the city of men the great white walls stand tall with guards patrolling the top the gates open showing the inner city a bunch of people bow towards the king.

Dane now turned 25 a lot of people are trying to court him a lot of letters his mother has gave him he isn't interested though because most of everyone is just looking to marry the king's son and also because Dane is pretty famous for being quite handsome.

Having short black hair and a rare condition that gives his iris have a dark purple he's a rather handsome fellow a lot of women can't help but just give him a very lustful look he doesn't pay any attention to it he isn't much of a man who likes being the one of all the attention it paints an even bigger target on his back and the people close to him.

They finally get to the large castle it's a white and gold building guards stand like statues a large man in gold plated armour with a lion helm on top he nods it's Danes mother's bodyguard Corvic he stands next to the queen who wears a blue dress and a gold crow Dane shares a resemblance to his mother they have the same colour hair and eyes and some similar facial features.

"Oh by the gods boy you look awful" Dane smile's at his mother "I'm okay mother I'm not hurt just had a tough fight."

Dane nods a Corvic he nods back they go into the castle Dane gets cleaned up and wears a nice red and gold shirt and black pants Dane walks to the throne room his father does his daily duties of running the kingdom while the queen is with her council seeing what needs done Dane sees his father see him "huh that's a good look."

Dane shrugs "it's the only thing that mother would allow me to wear anyway I heard there was supposed to be a party this afternoon" Dane sits next to his father in his mothers seat Dane groans "I hate party's all of them are usually boring" William nods "your mother hates them too usually when she isn't allowed to drink you know when she was younger and we just got married she challenged me to a drinking contest I got hammered in a few good minutes she on the other hand just shrugged it off."

"I guess that's the perks for being a northerner" Dane smile's "well I guess I will stay for the party I just hope I'm not bothered by noblemen."
