Night-time Shenanigans

As Tails was in his workshop- in the middle of the night- he was studying all the facts repeatedly, trying to check if he missed anything. Yet the smaller kitsune couldn't find anything in the evidence. He read the messages left on Shadow's phone- no doubt he was even more confused- what kind of stuff came from all this. 

He did get a hint from Eggman- not a big hint, but it still helped. The young fox twirled his namesakes as he paced around. If Sonic was there, Tails wouldn't be up at night, but here he is, walking around slowly losing sleep.

Tails then walked back to his room, lying down in his bed. Subtly, laying the green comforter over top of his frail body. Quiet snores emitting through his throat as he finally passed out.

Amy was wide awake, sitting up in her bed as she was on her computer, texting Blaze and Rouge on their group chat. It seemed as if everyone was restless; this mystery getting the best of everyone.

Amy: Hey, looks like you girls can't sleep too

Blaze: Yeah, I am having trouble sleeping

Amy: Oh, well both Sonic and Shadow disappeared into thin air

Rouge: I'm worried about the two

Rouge: I miss Shadow

Blaze: Can I come visit

Amy: Sure! I will set up a room if you wanna sleep over!!!

Blaze: Yes!

Rouge: Truth or Dare?

Amy: Alright!

Amy set down her computer as she lay down, thinking about positive things. Like the sleepover. All the while, the other two girls were also giddy, making it somewhat harder to sleep now. For all of the girls.

Amy lay in her bed trying to fall asleep, but she sadly failed. She leapt out of her bed, ran to her spare bedroom, which had a small entrance connected to her room, and started setting it up. She set up some pink, fluffy blankets with matching, hot pink pillows. She happily laid out the sleeping bags and some board games, slowly getting sleepy.

Shadow's face was red, like tomato red. Sonic wouldn't quit moving in his sleep, only causing Shadow to get uncomfortable. And flustered. Sonic then shifted again, slightly rubbing, causing Shadow to gasp. Shadow used one of his hands to cover his mouth. 

"Why can't he just wake up!" Shadow thought as he squeezed his eyes shut.

 Shadow then tried to move again, biting his lip to stop all sounds. He shifted away from Sonic after a few minutes. He started panting as he leant against the wall, and looked over his shoulder to see a sleeping Sonic. His face flushed again at the sight of the blue hedgehog. 

Shadow could taste a copper tinge in his mouth as he wiped his lip. 

"Oh, I must've accidentally bit down too hard." Shadow thought out loud in a whisper.

Amy had finished the room, strings of fairy lights and a television screen were in the front centre of the room. The blankets and sleeping bags were on the ground in front of the entertainment centre, lined up in a circle-like pattern. A few board games, along with a few card games, were in the middle of the sleeping bags.

Amy then lumbered out of the room with bags under her eyes. She walked into her room and lay down on the bed, covering herself in the warmth of the blankets. She then fell asleep too.

Knuckles was on top of his emerald already asleep. I can't say anything if he has already fallen asleep, but maybe I can try. He had his arms behind his head, legs crossed as he let out quiet breathing. His chest raised with each breath as he slept in the comfort of his emerald.

Shadow had gotten into a comfortable position away from Sonic. But sadly, the ebony's attempt to stay away from the other's grasp had failed because they still ended up snuggling into each other. Sonic snuggled into the crook of Shadow's neck. Shadow in the azure one's chest.

The snores from Sonic echoed a little in their room, as Shadow drooled on Sonic's chest. The two hedgehogs were stuck in each other's embrace as they slept sweetly. A loud rumbling emitted from the ebony and blue-furred throats as each enjoyed the other's presence that night.

Everyone everywhere was peacefully asleep and not aware that there was something happening. Something right in their sight, Shadow, Sonic, Amy, Rouge, Tails, Knuckles, all of them. Blind that something more evil was going on at the Happy Family Residence. The worst part is how it seems to be fairly normal...
