LOVE ME HARDER, MR. FU

Knight Club, 

Knight club is one of the hottest club in New York. With its classy modern architecture, great line up and the A class drinks served, this club deserves the title to be the hottest in town. 

Music blares making the earth shake. People, covered in sweat are dancing on the dark metal stage with the neon and sensual lights in the background. Up in the first floor, there are compounds for people to relax and spend their time without any disturbance. They are better know as the VIPs and for them treatment is different from the rest. 

Across the room of ground floor, a group of friends are sitting, enjoying their time together. Men and women are seated on the red velvet couch. 

Shi Lian, one of the woman from the group, gets a call from her father which makes her a bit surprise. Telling her friends to cool down a bit, she recieves the call. The music is too loud, so she excuses herself from there and goes out of the club. The noise suddenly drops once she is out. "Hello, father?"

"Daughter!" her father, Mo Sheng Yuan cries from the other line. The tension in her father's tone makes her worry. 

"What is the matter, father? Is everything all right?" she asks, her brows drawing in. 

"I need your help, Shi" he says, and it's the first time she has heard her father requesting. Her concern grows more and she asks him for the matter. "I can't tell you on the phone everything. Our company is going to bankrupt and I-I don't know what to do...Shi, I need your help."

This is huge. How can a multinational company go bankrupt in a blink of an eye? The last she heard from her mother, everything was okay. Four days, and the situation is worse. 

"Don't panic, father. I am coming there" she assures him. "I'll book my flight ticket right away."

Exchanging few other talks, Shi Lian ends the call and takes her time to process what she just heard. The vulnerability in her father's voice makes her heart ache. She assumes this has been going for months but no one told her. Of course, they do not want her to worry and live her life happily in the States. This makes her upset and now that she has promised to return to China, her hometown, she needs to book flight tickets for that. 

Pushing the strand of her auburn straight hair behind her ear, she checks the flights which will be leaving for tomorrow to China. There's only two. The one leaves on nine in the morning and the other is on three in the afternoon. Shi Lian quickly books the flight ticket for the morning one. 

Shi Lian and her friends are here to celebrate for their graduation but the merry mood she came with, is no longer there. The worry and tension is marked on her face. She releases a sigh and goes back inside to her friends. She passes crowds of people and finding the gang, she sits on her place. 

"Whose call was that?" Evelyn, her best friend asks, her voice a little too loud because of the blaring music. 

Shi Lian leans in ear and says loudly, "My father."

"What did he say?"

"There's been a problem and I have to head back tomorrow" Shi Lian tells with a upset tone. Evelyn chokes on the tequila she is having snd turns her big brown eyes towards her best friend. 

"You what?" she asks, not sure if what she heard is the truth. 

"I am returning to China tomorrow" Shi Lian says and reaches forward to take the tequila. 

Evelyn grabs her by her shoulders and as if not believing, shrieks, "Why?"

This has got the attention of her other friends ans they are looking at the two of them eagerly. Alex wiggles his eyebrows and a smug smirk plays on his lips. "Is she breaking up with you?"

"Shut up, Alex" Evelyn rolls her eyes at him. Alex snickers but leaves her alone. 

"I don't know anything yet. All I know is that the company is facing some crisis and he wants me there."

"Oh my God! Is uncle okay?"

Shi Lian smiles faintly and assures by a nod. "Worried for now. Anyway, so I have booked the flight and I will leaving at nine tomorrow."

"Are fucking me here?" Evelyn scowls. "Atleast you could have told me before booking the flight."

"And what must have happened?"

"I just.....Argh! Why do you have to go? I don't wanna live alone in that dormitory!" Evelyn whines and hugs Shi Lian. Shi Lian breathes a chuckle and pats her golden hair lovingly. 

"I will miss you too, Eve."

Evelyn umtangles herself from her and with eyes twinkling like stars, she asks, "Are you going there for like permanent? Are not not gonna come back?"

Shi Lian have not think about that yet. She do not know how worse the situation is of the company. 

"I am not sure yet. If the problem is solved, I will be back soon."

"Oh! Shi, I will miss you so much!" Evelyn hugs her again. 

"I see you both patch things up again. Cool" Alex commented, grinning at them. Evelyn shoots him a dirty look and a middle finger at him. 

"What's with the two of you? Why senti all of a sudden?" Joanna asks, sitting opposite to them. 

Shi Lian and Evelyn straighten themselves. "I don't want to ruin the night so let's have fun, okay?" Shi Lian says. Evelyn nods. 

"Nothing at all. So, what are we doing?"

Alex has an evil grin in his face and by the look of it, everyone knows that whatever says, it's not going to be easy. 

"Dare it or Drink it" he asserts. He then explains the game to them. "If you don't want to do the dare, you will have to drink two glasses of the drinks we will choose snd you cannot say no."

Shi Lian looks unsure if she should play or not. She knows the game will turn drunk and messy and she do not want to wake up like that. She has a flight tomorrow morning but she doesn't want to be grandma either to say no to it. 

"I'm in!"
