The thing is, there is such thing as reincarnation. Yes! I was reborn and Yes! the story was from a movie that my friend watched. BUT... NO, I'm not the villainess NO, I'm not the sidekick NO, I'm not the protagonist NO, I'm not a mob character I just don't exist. or maybe I wasn't just featured in that movie since it's a bloody 2 hours movie --- A BLOODY 2 HOURS MOVIE.
Red fluid slowly filled the transparent tube, it was blood. The lady then removed the tourniquet and then ejected the syringe at the same time plastering a cotton with alcohol on the pricked wound of the patient.
"What's your name? " she asked
"Bernadette Wallace" The patient replied
The lady, Samantha labeled the tube. "What's your name? " she asked again
"Bernadette Wallace"
"Okay, thank you" said Sam in a smile
The day went on just like that, she had received 18 patients and she was exhausted at the end of her shift, she endorsed the things that are still not yet done to the person that replaces her for the night shift and then went home. She drove her car for 30 minutes and arrived at her flat, she opened an instant noodles, heated some bread from her fridge on the microwave and ate it as her dinner. It was already 11:20 pm when she arrived at her place since she covered a 2 hour shift for her friend, Josh since he had a little emergency at home. After she filled her stomach, she immediately went to bed as her body was really shattered.
The next day, she have a night shift so she woke up around 10:00 am and cooked some brunch. After she had her brunch she then went on her phone and continued reading the manga she read last week. At 3:00 pm, somebody knocked on her door, it was her neighbor Lea, she lived with her family just couple of blocks away from her.
"What's the problem?" Sam Asked
"M--My Dad --- there's something wrong with him" Lea replied and the two dashed to her home, Sam bringing her first aid kit, sphygmomanometer and stethoscope.
"Was he having a high blood pressure again?" asked Sam
"I think so..."
When they reached the house, Sam immediately took Jim's Blood pressure. He has already a stage 2 high blood pressure and his doctor already suggested him some medication.
"It was 183/126, was he having some chest pain?" Sam asked
"Yeah"
Sam also observed that Jim was having a shortness of breath and realised this may be an urgent hypertensive crisis. "Call 911" she stated
Anna, Lea's mom dialed her phone and then she started to narrate what was happening.
"Don't worry ma'am, the dispatch is on their way"
3 minutes after, the dispatch came and was sent to the hospital with Anna. Their children, Jason and Lea went to the hospital on their own after expressing their gratitude to Sam. Sam wasn't a nurse but she was able to learn how to get blood pressure and most of its entirety.
She then went back home and got ready to go to work. At 5:00 pm she was already on the laboratory accepting patients and her night started with accepting patients, getting their samples, processing then and then releasing them. It was another full night and night would really be where the fight starts. When 3:00 am striked, she then prepared the lab for the day shifts and then tested the samples that are scheduled at that time and then she went out of the laboratory at 3:20.
It was raining hard, the sky is still dark and flashes of light would appear from time to time. She actually didn't drive her car to work since she was too lazy for it, that's why she just rode a taxi and that is what she was doing right now. With her black umbrella almost being carried away by the strong wind, she was trying to go to the main road to hail a taxi when she suddenly slipped because of the strong wind an the slippery pavement.
Her head was the first one to hit the elevated pavement and as her head touched the cement, there was a loud sound echoed. Blood oozed out of her head and she had lost her consciousness.
And this is the beginning after the end.
