Golden Moon Academy (Part 3)

Everyone was currently looking at Jay as if he was a monster due to the destruction he caused just from touching the orb of testing. Everyone from Golden Phoenix did not know what kind of cursed luck did Jay have. As for the people from the academy, they had mixed feelings about the matter.

...

Meanwhile, somewhere else on the floating island...

--- Central Area, an unknown place ---

Within this unknown area, there was only a single stone bed and an old man lying down on it. The old man had a blindfold on him. If observed more closely, the old man looked like a lifeless corpse due to him being very skinny and not having a single hair on him. He was even half naked, only wearing a piece of cloth to cover his crotch.

Suddenly, when Jay finished touching the orb of testing, the old man suddenly had a wide grin on his face and said, "Well, well, well... Look at what we have here."

The old man went silent after that.

...

--- Testing Hall, Golden Moon Academy ---

Right now, Jay did not know what to do and hoped that he won't pay for the damages he caused. While having his own worries, one of the old men from the academy spoke up while having a funny look on his face.

"About this, we will talk about this at a later date. For now, all of you have passed our test. All of us here officially welcome you to our Golden Moon Academy. Alessandra, go ahead and give them a tour on the island. May Luna's grace fall upon you."

After that, everyone from the academy teleported out of the room, except for one of the ladies.

The lady who remained introduced herself first to Jay and co. before she proceeded with the task given to her.

"Good day to you all. My name is Alessandra and I will now show you around the entire island."

Alessandra had a slim body and constitution. She was a bit taller than average, had blue eyes, and had long black hair.

She then snapped her fingers and everyone got teleported out of the testing hall and they all arrived in front of a mansion, or rather, the academy.

--- Golden Moon Academy ---

Everyone except Jay and Alessandra was amazed with the grandeur of the building in front of them. Jay then thought to himself as he looked at everyone, "Hahaha... I remember having the same reaction the first time I saw it. Just looking at everyone's reaction really brings back memories."

While he thought of that, Alessandra suddenly spoke up.

"Impressive huh? This building is the foundation of our academy. This is where Elders or teachers like me do lectures. Besides that, there are also other staff members of our academy providing other forms of services here. As for the other buildings and sites on the island, it is up to you to explore. Good day and may Luna's grace fall upon you."

After saying that, she gave everyone an emblem shaped in a crescent moon and was painted in gold.

"That emblem will allow you to gain access to every facilities we have on the island. As for transactions or other items available for purchase, you need to collect a certain amount of 'Academy Points' to be able to avail those stuff."

While everyone was thinking about the stuff Alessandra told them, she signaled Jay to come closer to her and she whispered something to Jay.

"Go to the principal's office at the 4th floor of the academy. Elder Magnus wants to speak with you."

After saying that, she snapped her fingers and got teleported to somewhere else. As for Jay and co. , they were very excited and cannot wait to to all kinds of things in the academy. Seeing everyone's expressions, Jay told them to go do whatever they want since he still had some business to take care of.

Bawk Bawk!!!

"Oh yeah. Nuggets, go with the others for now and have fun. I'll be back later." Jay told Nuggets as everyone went inside the academy and Jay separated from the group.

...

--- Golden Moon Academy ---

The interior of the academy looked really luxurious. Almost everything, may it be the doors, windows, or furniture, were lined with a golden stripe which is probably some intricate magic runes drawn by some mages or sorcerers.

Just like any normal academy from the real world, there were classrooms along the hallways, flights of stairs at some corners, etc. The only difference was that there was no ceilings for the first floor up to the third floor which allowed people to fly or drop down for their own convenience. As for the people around, there were so few of them and the distant chatter from the classrooms can be heard for some reason.

Of course, when experiencing this the first time, everyone from Golden Phoenix was really excited to do all these things. Jay then told them to go have fun while he immediately went towards the stairs and walked up until he reached the 4th floor of the academy.

...

--- Golden Moon Academy, 4th Floor ---

Unlike the first three floors of the academy, the fourth floor was more peaceful. The corridors were also filled with rooms, but these rooms were the living quarters of the academy's staff, may it be the Elders, teachers, or the principal. The strange thing about these rooms was that the doors were furnished and decorated differently from one another.

The moment Jay reached the fourth floor, he looked for the principal's office.

"If I remember correctly, it should be near Elder Lisa's room."

After thinking for a few seconds, Jay looked around while observing the rooms doors since each door also had a name engraved on it.

"Magnus... Magnus..." Jay muttered softly as he went past each room. Then after walking a few steps away from the stairs, he found the Magnus' room. The door of the room had a lion shaped knob and was painted in blue.

Jay knocked three times and went in.

...

Inside the room, it looked like a small office. Some papers scattered around, some books stacked on the floor, a single desk near a window, etc.

Sitting behind the desk was Magnus, one of the old men Jay and co. met earlier. He had white hair and had no facial hair. He also had a small scar on his left eye. When he saw Jay enter, he immediately stored every paper and books scattered around in his spatial inventory and signaled Jay to take a seat opposite of him. After Jay sat down, he began speaking.

"I suppose you want to know the results of the test before and why that destruction happened."

Jay nodded when he heard this.

Magnus stood up, put his hands behind his back, and continued speaking.

"This might be bit long so you can bring out any food items you have and enjoy it while I tell you everything."

Sadly, Jay did not have any food items with him, so he just decided to focus on whatever Magnus will tell him.
