1. New beginnings

In thecl small city of Bai

In the morning Imara's parents are packing because the are moving to a new city . "Imara wake up and come down to help us finish packing " Imara's mother shouted in hopes of waking her up but heard no movement from upstairs ."Imara!!" She shouted louder this time . " I heard you " came a tired voice from upstairs

"Dad why'd you let her shout so early in the morning ?" She asked coming down the stairs but her father didn't get to answer as her mother interrupted him " would you have heard me if I didn't now go wash up and get dressed the moving truck will be here in 2hours "she said

"Why should I help when you're the one who wants to move ,me packing just my things is me doing it out of politeness and me being respectful to you both "with that she turned and went back up the stairs to go and freshen up." Young lady you should not talk to your mother that way " her father spoke up for the first time

" if there was something that I said that was not the truth then you can punish me however you like "with that she carried on , leaving her parents unable to say anything to retort to her words .

"Huh this child will be the death of me . I understand that she's not happy about moving but we have to "Endra said looking at her husband in defeat . Joseph just hugged his wife "you know we're she geta her attitude right" he said with a small smile "it is definitely not me my mama would've smacked the living daylights out of me but since the times have changed I can do nothing but frown apon it " she said and continued on packing

Upstairs in the bathroom while taking a shower Imara was lost in her thoughts

" well it seems like I'll have to accept it they won't change their minds about this .Why did dad have to get transferred to another city this is so annoying to think about " she said to herself

Getting out of the shower she got dressed and went downstairs for breakfast.

When she got downstairs she found her parents already at the dining table eating and the she sat down .

"Ohh so you're going to be eating with us after all" Endra said in a sarcastic voice."mom let's not argue please "Imara said while putting some food on her plate.

"Imara I understand that you are not very happy about having to move but we have to inorder to cut costs and I won't be able to travel to and from work , it'll be exhausting " Joseph tried to explain to his daughter so as to avoid her and his wife fighting and arguing all morning till afternoon .

"Dad I'll try to come to terms with it" she said and focused on her food "look on the bright side honey, you can try making new friends at your new school and I'm sure it won't be that bad "her mother added with a smile

"Mom just say that your happy I won't be continuing with my matial arts classes , I know you hate me doing it " she said not looking up from her plate ." I do hate it but since it made you happy you can continue with them " she said with a tiny smile showing that she wasn't entirely happy about this .
