But Richard's response was different, "I think you need to be more nervous about the upcoming spring hunt festival," he said, his tone icy. "Especially when it comes to your reputation."
Beatrice let out a deep sigh, her mind preoccupied with thoughts that were far more important than her reputation and the whispering and giggling of the nobles. She didn't care about any of it. Even if they tried to isolate her, she wouldn't budge.
"Sure, brother, I will keep that in mind," she said nonchalantly, taking a sip of her tea.
Richard rolled his eyes, fully aware that Beatrice had no intention of following his suggestion. The three of them sat in silence, sipping their tea, until Arthur couldn't take it anymore and attempted to start a new conversation.
"Do you remember when we used to play hide and seek in these gardens?" Arthur asked, a hint of a smile on his face.
