The next city

"Fuyuki city huh." Stepping out of the train, Jun saw the sign that indicated their current location.

'To think I'd come here this early… Is this fate?'

"Stop gawking at the sign boy, we have places to be." Kariya said walking towards the exit.

Seeing Jun still staring at the sign, Daruku called out to him with some worry in her voice.

"Jun-san?"

"Huh" Snapping out of his stupor, he saw the worried look on his future maid's face.

Seeing her worry about him caused him to smile and pat her head.

"I'm fine. Let's go before Master leaves us behind." He said giving her a reassuring smile.

She nodded and kept close to Jun as they followed behind Kariya.

He didn't mention it, but over the past two days he had noticed that Daruku only interacted with him whenever they were with Sergei and Kariya. It seemed like Kariya didn't really care about her as he completely ignored her and did his thing. Sergei wasn't any better, the only difference was that he looked at Daruku like she was trash. In his point of view she was nothing more than a street rat leeching off his young master.

Although Jun noticed all of this he never brought it up as it didn't matter in the long run. Sooner or later he'd separate from Sergei and the rest.

Walking side by side with Daruku, he reviewed every bit of information he had on Fuyuki city and the fate universe. Unfortunately even if he knew what would happen in the story he currently didn't know where in the timeline he was right now. The best he could do was use the internet to search for any information related to the Fuyuki city fire.

"Look at that!!" Daruku yelled pulling on his arm.

"Hmm?" Looking in the direction she was pointing at he saw the famous red bridge glistening in the distance.

'So that's what it looks like.'

Seeing the look of in Daruku's eyes caused him to be momentarily stunned by her cuteness.

'GOD DAMMIT!! SHE'S A BIOLOGICAL MALE!! GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE GOD DAMN GUTTER!!'

Looking away from her, Jun took a moment to regain his bearings.

'Fuck!! That smile is too dangerous!'

While Jun was busy recovering from an internal conflict, Kariya stopped and hailed a taxi that was near him and signaled for the others to get in.

"Where to?"

"Fujimura residence."

After searching the web for information relating to the Fuyuki fire, he discovered that it was actually quite a recent event within the city.

'What are the odds.'

Sitting in the car with the others, Jun thought about all the important characters in the the fate universe. From what he could remember the fifth holy grail war should start 10 years after the Fuyuki fire incident. That meant that if he really did want to join the holy grail war and meet famous figures like Gilgamesh and Archer he'd need to be way stronger than he was right now.

Speaking of Archer, he'd always been a fan of the character and felt that his ending was quite sad. Having to suffer an eternity of slavery due to a stupid decision he made as a teen, what a sad fate.

'Since I'm here, I might as well do him a favour and kill his younger self since he failed to do it.'

Now he just had to find a way into the Emiya residence and quietly shank a certain red headed fool in the throat.

Then there's also that disgusting family the Matou's. Remembering what they did to poor Sakura caused him to unintentionally release some demonic power. A sweet girl raped and experimented on by a mad man and his jealous grandson. Just the thought of those worms crawling all over her body made him tremble in anger.

Before he died, Jun had watched the Fate/Kaleid Oath under snow movie and had his heart break when Sakura died trying to protect Shirou. Not to mention in almost every iteration of the story Sakura always falls for him but has to take a step back in place of Saber and Rin.

(Emiya Residence)

Kiritsugu and the 7 year old Shirou were sitting outside quietly drinking a cup of green tea while taking in the beauty of the Emiya residence landscape.

"You're going to school in a couple of days, how do you feel?" Kiritsugu asked trying to act fatherly to the recently orphaned child.

Bowing his head slightly Shirou looked away from him.

"I-I don't want to go."

Sighing slightly, he put one hand on the small boy's head.

"It's not your fault Shirou." He said with a pained tone.

The red haired child didn't speak and just continued drinking his tea with his head lowered. The memories kept flashing in his head, fire surrounded everything and the sound of his parents screaming his name replayed over and over again. The last thing he remembered was Kiritsugu removing the rubble as he pulled him out.

"I… shouldn't be alive." He whispered.

*CLANG!!*

"Don't you ever say that!" Dropping his drink. Kiritsugu shouted at the small boy and pulled him into his embrace.

"It's not your fault! There was nothing you could have done so don't you dare say that you shouldn't be alive!" Remembering the chaos and destruction the Grail brought to the people of Fuyuki city, Kiritsugu's hands formed into fists as the image of his wife and daughter flashed across his mind.

'Irisviel.'

Just as he was about to say something to the boy in his embrace, felt a strong wave of pressure crush down on him.

Falling to his knees he felt every fibre of his being forced to kneel as an aura of malice and domination covered the entire city.

'T-This energy… I-It's covering the entire city!!'

In that moment, every magus from the Einzberns, Matous and Tohsakas felt the presence of an outsider announce his arrival in one of the most dramatic fashions possible. Even the members of the church and those dead apostles hiding away in the city were woken from their slumber.

"A demon has arrived."
