Alice Adams had a dream since she was young. And that dream was soon coming true.
After taking her debate club to nationals last spring and winning, Alice finds herself face to face with the team captain of Harvard's University's Debate Team, who offers her a seat in their team with a full scholarship if she ever decides to apply in the future.
She found herself already seeing a future in Boston, away from the small town of Wistfield. It wasn't until weeks after senior year started, she was called to the principal's office and was told that she'd have to fight for her seat with another co-star of the debate team, Hunter Bao, who was the definition of a scholar.
Hunter was your average blonde dweeb scholar who was sure to become a successful person in whatever career path he chose. Unfortunately for Alice, Hunter's dream was to become a debater just like her. And all he wanted was to attend Harvard as a pre-law major and member of Harvard's Debate Team.
They had no business with each other, so fighting for the seat shouldn’t be a problem—or not.
After both being forced to have a heated kiss in front of the whole school at a Halloween Party. Both Alice and Hunter can’t seem to stay away from each other. Not because they wanted to be next to each other, but it was like the world was pushing them together. Two opposite magnets being shoved by a horrible force.
With the heated tension and strange sexual attraction, they were both starting to feel their rivalry as something more.
Can Alice and Hunter both withstand the pressure from their family, team, friends, school, and competition. Or can they save each other, and find something more worthwhile.

"Can I kiss you," he says playfully.
My eyes widened so much I thought my eyes were about to burst. I took my hand away from his chest, his whole body falling back down on the tube. "What?"
He narrowed his eyes, almost annoyed by my reaction. "I want to kiss you."
I could have shouted at him. Yelled at him. Spatted at him. But instead I stared at him, my head empty as I looked at a totally different person.
He moved his hands from my thigh to my cheek, caressing it softly. I should've flinched, punched him in the face, broke his glasses and made him eat it. Even if he was intoxicated I would have made him eat his words—I mean he was Hunter after all. But I didn't, instead I let him touch me. HIM of all people.
"W-what is wrong with you," I stutter.
He looks deeply into my eyes, taking me in fully. I've never seen him like this before—in this type of way.
The nerdy quiet boy was gone. What stood before me was a lustful man who had the eyes of a hungry beast. He was . . . hot . . . hot as fuck, and it was about to drive me mad.
"We kissed before, let's do it again," he smiles.
I push his hand away. "You're insane! How much did you drink!"
His mouth moves in a smirkish way, and my breath stops when I see the small dimples forming on his hollow cheeks. "Insane for you perhaps."
