Immorally Impractical Immortal

Arius had played the role of a hero many times, but he's also been the villain in other people's lives. You save some and you ruin others, he was never a saint. If one wishes for death, it could never be granted. To live forever was a fate worse than death, at least when you're alone for the punishment. Truly, love was a dangerous thing, and Arius had avoided it for centuries. Unfortunately, one day it suddenly came to slap him in the face. In fact, it quite literally felt like being crushed by a building. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Well, what do you have to say for yourself?" "I love you...?" "Do you realize I already know that?" "Yes." "Then why do you say it all the damn time?!" She tried to storm off but was suddenly stopped by the hand that grabbed hers. "For fun." He grinned. She glanced at his hand before saying blankly, "It was a rhetorical question." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Wise folks say only fools rush in, so they were all fools. ___________ (I changed the titled back to Immorally Immortal) Cover credits: Myself! Kind of messed up on it though... oh well. So... I've decided to move to wattpad. I guess this is bad news if you care? I'll cease to update on webnovel! I had in the past promised to not scratch this story, and i won't, just... Wattpad gives me more options in my writing style. - Overall, moving things over is complicated, I don't exactly know what I'm doing.

Found Zuna

Bertie was quietly cleaning off his cleaver with his shirt, staining it red. Arius wasn't quite sure what happened that caused all the blood

splotches, but he had a theory. 'Did Asrael cut his hands off to free himself?'

Kane and Lufti were freed, along with Ginny, who really only happened to be in the same cell with Kane. Of the gang members that were captured, they were Asrael's least ignored, except Ginny. The petite man was about as fierce as the other five that were captured on account of Kane's 'accidental' mistakes. Despite Kane's many disappointing actions, he was actually very amusing to his leader.

"That small guy, what's his name?" Arius spoke quietly to Asrael while glancing at the man that shifted around uncomfortably.

"Ginny, why?" Asrael whispered back.

"He survived Zuna's 'fatal misfortune', I don't think that's normal for someone like him."  Arius spoke as the group walked down the dark and cold corridor, leaving only the sounds of feet and whispers. The place was haunted by the quiet murmurs of the five that were still captive.

"Really?" Asrael glanced at Ginny. The short and thin man rose slightly higher in Asrael's ranking of favoritism. 'Surviving Hazuna's ability should be something to be proud of, right?'

They didn't know exactly how Zuna's power worked, so they wouldn't have known that Ginny had two possible reasons for not dying. One being that he was somehow a naturally lucky person, and the second was that her power wasn't strong enough to affect so many at one time.

They noticed that Zuna wasn't being held in the area they were in, as they were in a dark hallway with limited rooms. So, they decided that Arius would go find Zuna, and Asrael would figure out the situation, and then they would meet back there.

Arius and the rest found a staircase, though it didn't have a door blocking off the flight of concrete stairs, so they had to be extra cautious. They found themselves in another hallway, which had an important-looking door at one end, and a few other staircases going down on either side of the corridor, it seemed obvious that Zuna would be at the bottom of one of the staircases, so that's where they separated. When Asrael and his group left, he gave Arius the bent paperclip.

Arius began making his rounds, going down each flight of stairs until he stumbled upon one with a closed door at the end of it's hallway. Arius kneeled down in front of the steel door, he used the hair pin to keep his overgrown locks from falling into his face and obstructing his view. He jammed the paperclip into the keyhole and jiggled it around for a bit.

Now that his hair was out of the way, Arius had a much easier time picking the lock, it took half the time it had taken before. When it was unlocked, he quietly opened the door, he didn't know why he so silently slipped in, trying not to make a sound.

On the floor, Zuna had lain motionless, with one arm held up by a chain. Arius's heart shook, he knelt on the ground in front of her and sighed when he noticed her breathing. She was asleep.

Arius was almost driven insane when he saw how defenseless she was. It wasn't only that she looked tempting like this, but she could look tempting to people that might be unable to control themselves! Naturally anyone that had such an idea would die, but what if someone like Ginny showed up?

He grabbed her and shook her, to which she responded by pushing him away with one hand, though she was unsuccessful. She opened her eyes slightly to see that she was being held by her shoulders, and in front of her Arius had an almost forced smile. He kept this expression as she turned her head left and right to see that she was still in the empty cell.

Her gaze stopped on Arius's smile that reflected slight vexation. Her eyes scanned his features, his chin and jaw were stubbly, and his hair was held back by a hair pin. "You need to shave." Was the first thing she said.
