On another side of a cliff, a young girl could be seen lying in a puddle of blood that seemed to originate from the little girl's head.
Upon a closer inspection, anyone would notice that with the amount of blood lost anyone would've already died. Not to mention this little girl's body had already seemed to cease its function as it's heart no longer beats.
Her closed eyes then began to squirm as if there were tiny worms moving on her eyelids. And suddenly without any warning, both of her eyes opened wide with great vigor.
The little girl's previously pale complexion had once again turned rosy and the bleeding in her head had already stopped. Her awakening was sudden which caused her body to jolt straight up which caused her to sit straight.
She seemed to be out of breath as she breathed in a series of quick successive short breaths which eventually returned back to normal after a few seconds.
"Where am I?"
She looked confused as to where and how did she ever wonder deep into the forest. She looked from left to right but all she could see were thick trees that enclosed the area.
She then finally noticed the puddle of blood that she was previously lying on. Surprised she moved away from it but before she was able to she clutched her forehead and felt a wound.
She clicked her tongue because she had accidentally touched it which made her feel the pain that the fresh wound gave her.
"I remember now. I accidentally slipped and fell all the way here." She then murmured as she looked around her until she finally saw a basket with fruits that were scattered all around alongside some pieces of dry wood that were cluttered.
"I need to go home now or else Mother's going to scold me." She then immediately proceeded with picking the scattered fruits and putting it neatly back to her basket. She then regrettably sighed as she looked at some of the squashed fruits that couldn't handle the impact of the fall.
While picking up the fruits she had remembered her what her mother always said. "Witches lurk deep in the forest at the dark." She then chuckled as she hastened her pace and quickly finished gathering all the barely eatable fruits.
After gathering everything in her basket she then patted down all the dirt on her dress as she carried a bundle of wood on her shoulder. She then made her way back home quickly. On the way home, she saw an old man that lives nearby.
"Hey there! You're always working hard, your parents must be really lucky to have you." The old man gave a sweet smile.
Life smiled back and gave one of the still pleasant looking fruit on her basket as she thanked the old man for the compliment.
On the way home, she passed by other people and happen to overhear some of them talking about the Saint who happen to be passing by. She took notice of it but didn't feel as much interested so she quickly made her way home.
After a few minutes, she was finally a few footsteps away from her house.
Prior to entering her house, she heard her baby brother's cry. She then hastened her steps as she quickly entered the house to find her little baby brother. Only to see that her mother had already been there.
"Oh, you're back quite early today?" Her mother smiled as she picked up the baby that was lying on a small wooden crib.
Life knew that it was her mother's sarcasm as she had arrived late. It was already nearing night time. She then smiled and showed her the fruits that she had gathered to appease her mother's anger.
"I'm sorry, It won't happen again." She smiled as she hugged her mother.
