That Cousin I Never Had
"Alex, meet my Eldest, Ralph. I'll introduce you to the two other musketeers later once they got here."
My world suddenly stopped as soon as she mentioned the word Eldest. I wished this was a different Ralph-- Maybe his look-alike and has the same name, but a completely different person. I wished he didn't know me.
"Ralph, your cousin, Alex."
I watched as Ralph stood up from the couch, still surprised. He walked towards me and shook my hand as if I wasn't his brother's girlfriend.. As if we never met.
"Oh, there you are. Come here, Clarence." Aunt Jessica said, earning my attention. I looked at the door where Clarence was standing.
My tears were on the verge of falling.. I'm shaking.. But I was trying to smile. What the fck is this?
Clarence was stilled at the door. Looking at his mom, my mom, Ralph, and me. He also didn't have an effin clue about what was happening. We were supposed to meet my parents first before we got to meet his family.
Who knew both our families would be here? Or should I say our extended family?
His mom hugged him, but he wasn't hugging her back. He was just looking at me as equally confused as I was. "I didn't know we have.." He trailed off, not knowing what to say cause the next words he would say would decide our future. "visitors?" He croaked.
"I'll introduce you to your Aunt Cassie and her daughter, Alex." My boyfriend's mom turned to me, smiling widely while saying, "Your cousin."
