New Friend

Hawk looked at Andromeda who was giving him crowd cheered, mostly are girls who even have banners and chants.

Hawk gritted his teeth in frustration. 'How can she act like that?'

His opponent is Gary from class A who specializes in sneak attacks. Gary had a playful smirk on his face seeing Hawk's expression.

Hawk stood calmly and looked at Gary with bored expression. In his mind, he wishes this fight would end quickly.

Gary held his knives firmly and ran around Hawk in full speed. Average people would not be able to see his movements but for Hawk, he's like just circling around him in normal motion.

Hawk is a demi-human bird so that speed is nothing compared to what he sees when flying. Plus, his eyes are sharper than human's.

Gary then changed his direction and aimed to stab Hawk from his right side. To his surprise, Hawk held his arms before the knife reach him. In attempt to escape, he used his other knife to hurt Hawk's hand, which he succeeded, not in hurting Hawk but removing Hawk's tight grip.

They exchanged attacks with their daggers in close combat which is where Hawk is not specialised with. But with Hawk's sharp eyes and speed, he matches his opponent.

Neither of them plans on using magic. The fight lasted for many minutes until they were both exhausted. Gary is more tired than Hawk who was constantly evading his attacks. This urged Hawk to make an offensive move.

Hawk won. The crowd cheered. He smiled and wiped his scratched cheek and offered a help to Gary which Gary accepted. Gary scratched his neck and smiled.

"Haaa~ That was fun. I've never had that kind of battle before." Gary laughed and shook hands with Hawk. The women audiences gone crazy. Two hot men shaking hands and smiling after battling sure is a nice scene.

"You were good, you even managed to scratch me despite my speed," Hawk replied.

Priscilla gave them bottles of potions for them to recover since they both rejected the medical team to assist them. When Gary realized they have similarities and Hawk's friends are amazing, he began to hang out with them.

"Andromeda, can we shake hands? I saw your fights since your transfer here, you are amazing... and cute." Gary turned out to be Andromeda's fanboy.

"Oops. Gary, you're not a lolicon, are you?" Oliver shook Gary's hand instead and looked at him with small eyes.

"What?! Of course not! I just happen to admire her. Despite her cute little appearance, she's strong!

Why are you so protective anyway?"

"Ahem... Gary. Since you are new here, you must know that they pamper Andromeda so much. She's like a younger sister to us," Faye interrupted.

Gary's shoulder fell down as he gave up on shaking Andromeda's hand.

"I don't mind," Andromeda, with no further context, said.

"What?" Priscilla, who is her owner and guardian but can't even tell what she meant, asked.

"She meant she doesn't mind shaking hands with Gary," Hawk, who hates the fact that he's the only one who understands her, explained.

"Really?" Gary's hope rose up again. He shook Andromeda's tiny hand with a smile. He looks really happy. If Oliver is pure and trusting, this guy is the purest of all.

Speaking of Oliver, he broke the handshake. "That's enough, Andromeda needs to get ready for her fight."

"Warren from class C is strong, you know? Just look at his ugly, gross muscles. I bet he's an idiot," Sarah blurted out without even realizing she's spitting an offensive opinion. Priscilla covered her mouth and smiled at Gary, who looked at Sarah with mouth gape open, apologetically.
