The next day Mika woke herself up early to get a good start at the wall. Unfortunately for her, someone was waiting outside.
Kendel stood outside Mika's door, half asleep as he waited for Mika to wake up. Having dragged himself from his bed two hours earlier, Kendel couldn't wait to have the little demon write her letter so he can get rid of her.
"Uncle?" Mika looked at the shivering man standing before with curiosity.
"Little niece, you're up!" Kendel threw off the blanket he had wrapped around himself and walked to stand in front of Mika.
"En. Does uncle need me for something?" Mika could take a guess as to why Lord Kendel would stand in the cold of night to wait for her to wake up.
"Niece doesn't remember she has to write a letter to her father? It's best we get it out of the way now." Kendel turned to Ply and took the tablet from his hands.
"Oh, right! Mika remembers now."
"Here." Kendel placed the tablet in Mika's stretch out hands.
